Strawberries are number on on the Dirty Dozen list of produce with the most pesticide residue, and I thought that local ones would not have as many chemicals in them. We got a gal of cider, lemon snap cookies, chia seeds, & a frozen icee... which was nice since it was like 86F out there & we picked for an hour. They have a wide variety of apples to pick, and tons of trees so no problem finding perfect specimens. Some were out of season but still plenty of ripe ones to get. We got Yellow Delicious, Jonathans, JonaGolds, Granny Smith, Empire & maybe Fugi. It was $20 for a half bushel. Which turned into 45 apples for us but I picked lotsa huge ones so really like 60 normal sized apples. You can just buy bagged apples instead of picking. Also they have Hay rides & play area for weekends plus pumpkins for sale.

This is a smaller roadside stand that is popular as I waited in line to buy some peaches and muffins. When it was finally my turn to order, I was given a choice of peaches ready to eat that day or peaches that will be prime for eating in 2-3 days. Being from the "want it now" generation, I chose the peaches ready for eating. The pic is what I bought for $6 ($1 per peach). I also selected a mix of Strawberry and Peach muffins - 4 pack container for $14 ($3.50 each). I made a healthy version of Peach, Blueberry, & Raspberry cobbler. The peaches were very good with a nice sweetness and quite juicy. Yay! The muffins were just ok, in my opinion. The ones I brought home were somewhat of a gooey consistency in the center toward the top of the muffin. Just not a fan. Sorry. I would definitely buy peaches from this Orchard again.

They only have a few sweet wines the sweetest being the red dolce. It's fruity and sweet. We like it. They have semi sweet and dry as well. They have a porch/patio and inside are some chairs and tables. They also have a loft area. That's where we went. The place was hoping around 1p on a Sunday when we went. A book club was there and several couples. They also had a coffee tasting from a local grower. The smell of fresh coffee was very overwhelming so we had to try. The service is good. Staff is nice. Prices about average. They have some food and you can bring your own. The issue and unfortunately there was one, was that there were thousands of fruit flies invading the place. I guess they crushed grapes for harvest and the fruit flies are a thing that happens. It was very annoying and obnoxious. Wine, food, and you had to be covered because the flies were on every surface. It was rainy so no outdoor escape on the patio. There are ways to control the flies. Use that blue light to attract them or something. If you want people to sit and drink. Make it easy. Flies are not making it easy. We will go back. But I'll call to make sure flies are gone.
