I contacted Mark to do some work on a firearm of mine. He was great to work with and did an excellent job on it. I highly recommend him.

This type of owner, who is local and knows the community, is a wonderful asset to the surrounding area. As for me, I will not hesitate to use this business again and certainly will recommend it to others without hesitation. The business is about a year old. I hope it does well. The premise was clean and orderly and is a testament to how a new business, by a young owner, should be run.

Coyote Cap Gunworks

I would like to inform anyone who is considering purchasing a gun from this gunsmith;…read more There is nothing on the Coyote Cap website to prepare you for what will happen when you order a gun from him. I had a phone conversation with cap on 12/14/2010 about the last of 4 model 87s which might be available to purchase. Then on 1/13/2011 I was told (via email) serial# CC-06 00766 was mine and to "get my payment in quickly so we can ship the gun". Then I was told " we did not receive the FFL info due to a faulty fax machine, so resend the info so we can ship the gun". But the gun did not ship. 6 months of ignored emails and unanswered phone messages later I am told my gun serial# CC-06 00766 has been sold to someone else in Florida. Coyote Cap is very sorry and will make it up to me with the offer of a better gun. But the gun is long on offer and very short on delivery (big surprise right?). By 6/2012 the people that have my gun have had it a full year, 18 months in total waiting for me, and I am in worse shape than I was when I started. He originally stated there were 30 guns ahead of me, then later 50 and then 100 and by 12/15/2011 he states there are 160 guns ahead of me. Even after the colossal mistake of selling my gun out from under me, he is constantly pushing me back to the end of the line. I accused him of losing my gun, bad business practice and lying to me. Then he has the audacity to get offended when I call him on his bad behaviour. On 6/26/2012 I asked for a refund. Which to his credit, he promptly did. But I have wasted a year and half and have nothing to show for it. Bottom line: Coyote Cap is the worst businessman I have ever heard of and lives in a world of denial I can't even fit into my head. I'm sure he is a "nice guy", but this has been the worst business experience of my life. If you have read this and still do business with him, you have no one to blame but yourself.

At C and R guns they offered 1/3 of the price of the other shop. They even said "I'm not trying to steal from you." When I tried to ask when he'd be back in the shop the phone started beeping due to him hanging up on me. I have never been treated with such disrespect in a shop in my life. If you are looking to sell or trade anything in the firearm industry do yourself a favor and save the time and gas and don't go to C and R guns.

He totally cleaned all the rust off, fixed the frozen sights, lubricated the action, and test fired it. Again, all in 24 hours and for $70. He also provided me with a record of the gun's manufacture and history. I was very impressed with the professionalism of both Jim and Andrew and highly recommended their services based on both quality of their work and their reasonable prices.
