The Faribo West Mall is more of a ghost town than a retail center these days. While Faribault struggles to revitalize their downtown, the mall has been essentially abandoned with the anchor store exceptions of a Super Wal-Mart and a busy J.C. Penny store. Other than that, they may as well fill it with kiosks. Strip malls are taking over that area of town with sandwish shops and cell phone retailers. Too bad, the guys at Faribo Jewelers were some pretty straight shooing guys who stood behind their products. I bought numerous Christmas gifts there for my wife of 30 years. Dandelet Jewelers is another fine store that has faded into local lore.

The lady we worked with was fantastic and actually pulled the one we ended up buying first - she had us try a couple to make sure we had the preferred length and thickness. The price was fair and she cleaned the pendant (and our other jewelry we had on) for free as well as set the pendant on the chain and put it in a complimentary box for us. My mom even had the jeweler check her bracelet as well which they did complimentary! My family has gone here for years and I have memories of my first boyfriend getting me a necklace here. We wanted to build a custom engagement ring and working with Paffrath was not only an amazing experience, but the result was stunning. Not only that, but very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend if you want to build a non-traditional ring, use Paffrath. The turnaround on the engagement ring was only a month or so, and it'll be about the same for the bands as well.
