They do quality work but make sure to get a quote in writing before letting them work on your vehicle. I came here for brake job and thought it was one price but ended up being a different price. Norm Reeves quoted me $646 for all 4 wheels with new pads and resurfacing the rotors. This place charged me $640 without the pads. I supplied the pads because I get free replacements from Auto Zone so I thought the price was only $500 but when the job was done they charged me $640. So an additional $140 ($35 per rotor for resurfacing) because they have to send them out to get resurfaced somewhere else. Hye Tech Auto Repair in Covina quoted me $500 with resurfacing the rotors because they can do it in-house. If it wasn't for the price confusion I would have given them 5 stars. read more

Shop says Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-5:00pm , waited for someone to show up until 9:15am on a Friday. The guy next door simply said "If he doesn't show up before 9:30am he won't work today. Hard to find a fair mechanic with in depth knowledge of Hondas. But look no further. SHS is a great place to get your Honda fixed. We had a difficult to diagnose issue and SHS came up with a plan. The fluid in in my radiator had to be replaced almost every couple of days and he suspected that it might have a crack in my engine block. Seven years ago, I randomly stopped by SHS because I needed brakes. It was one of those "do now" or "die" situations. When I walked in, I felt very welcomed by Swie. He was warm, yet professional. As I waited for my car to be serviced, I noticed a few newspaper clippings in the waiting area. After reading the articles and finding out he had graduated with an engineering degree, my knees started trembling. I thought for sure my brakes were going to cost me a fortune. As I nervously waited, I couldn't help but look around the shop. Swie was diligently working on my car, and I could tell he was taking his time, and making sure everything was perfect. My nervousness subsided. I figured it would be worth the money; you get what you pay for, right? When my car was ready, he took me to the garage and explained everything he had done. I actually understood what he was telling me. He answered every question with patience and expertise. The best part of it all was the price. It wasn't at all expensive like I feared. He is very reasonable. I'm so glad I took a chance and walked into SHS. He's the only one who has touched my car for seven years, and it still runs perfectly. I'll have it for another ten years thanks to him. I've also gotten five other people to come here. My brother drives over an hour to bring his Honda to Swie. Oh, I almost forgot to mention my friend April. She was having air conditioning problems and took her car to the dealer. They told her it was going to cost $300. This place is the ticket for your Acura and Honda needs. I recently purchased an off lease, low mileage Acura TSX from Carmax. I took the warranty for my new car and could easily take it to the dealer for all the recommended service, but thought I should try to find a reliable non-dealer mechanic that I can trust. I found SHS here on Yelp and decided to try this place, since it received great reviews and was close to where I live. I made my appointment for my first oil change and minor service milestone and was really confident with the mechanic's expertise and knowledge. Swie is the owner of the shop and showed me the dirty air filters that were all replaced and explained the importance of keeping this maintained and what parts of the car are affected by this. I asked about other parts of the car and when I should have certain things checked and replaced. I was educated about the running parts of the car and the importance of maintenance. I was told that my car was a great purchase and I shouldn't have any issues, so long as I keep up the maintenance. Previously, I owned a Honda accord and never had any major mechanical issues. I drove that car to 200k miles and really still no issues. I was coming up to replacing the clutch and the paint was starting fade with those white spots. And one of the pistons was starting to wear, so the oil would burn so much faster than normal. I had to check the oil at the end of every week to be sure that im not caught without any oil during my commutes. RIP my honda accord, you were the most reliable car ever! I have a 2005 Acura TSX and have been going to SHS Honda for the past 3 years. Swie has always been honest with whatever was going on with my car. The first time I took my car there he thoroughly inspected my car for a squeaking noise that I was hearing and he didn't charge me a dime. The other place I had previously taken it to wanted to charge me $600 to replace the shocks because according to them that's what was wrong with my car. Swie's recommendation was to observe the noise for a while because it could be something just needed a bit of grease and if it persists or gets worse he'll inspect it again. He was right, the noise went away after a few days. Swie has always done a great job at fixing and servicing my car. I don't really compare prices when it comes to my vehicle. A job not done right on a vehicle can be very costly. I prefer having peace of mind that my car is in great working condition than save 20 bucks and breakdown in the middle of nowhere. read more
