There are plenty of options for walk ins. Canvas, ceramics, wood items. Since it was not an instructor led project we were given detailed instructions that were very easy to follow. The staff set up our area with the canvases we selected and one ceramic project. All the supplies were laid out as well. We had plenty of room to work and chat. My kids joined me: ages 15 and 11 Our artwork did not turn out like the sample, but made for some great laughs and excellent memories. Somehow my beach scene took on the resemblance of a frog or some creature. who knew making a shadow on the water would be so hard. I look forward to visiting again. Staff were kind, helpful and readily available to answer our questions. Wish I had asked more questions. Bonus: you can bring your own drinks/snacks

The class was pretty full. We painted a beach scene with the artist painting the pic being viewable via TV. That was different but welcomed. You can bring your own wine and snacks. We had wine, cheese and crackers. It was really fun! They selected a few folks from a gameplay and they won pictures. Those celebrating were brought on the stage and were given gifts! I will definitely come back here.

A wonderful gem of a gallery and education center tucked into the heart of a small, but…read moresurprisingly artistic, community. The first floor houses a main art gallery featuring rotating exhibits -- mostly local artists -- each launched with a meet-and-greet reception complete with complimentary refreshments. Admission to the gallery is always free. The second floor is where the space truly comes alive. A spacious, light-filled classroom and art studio shares the floor with Our Sacred Space Yoga. The yoga studio offers classes four to five days a week in a beautiful wood-floored area that genuinely earns its name -- calm, welcoming, and full of warmth that you can feel as soon as you enter the space. Beyond regular yoga sessions, visiting teachers bring special workshops like Shamanic Training, Welcoming the New Year, and Celebrating the Feminine Divine. Whether you're looking to get grounded, connect with something larger than yourself, meet some terrific people, or simply build strength and flexibility, this is the place to go! The Black Creek Arts Council goes well beyond yoga with an impressive array of educational programming for all ages. Pottery, painting, cooking, and wellness classes draw repeat visitors year after year, while rotating special offerings -- art therapy, natural cloth dyeing, multi-week intensives -- ensure there's always something new to discover. What the Black Creek Arts Council has built here is quietly remarkable: a thriving cultural hub that champions local talent, welcomes outside voices, and consistently exceeds expectations. For a small rural county, this is an extraordinary thing -- proof that a passionate, motivated community can surpass the common to become extraordinary.

They offer classes for glass fusion and guided paint classes (the walls had some super cute images!!) amongst other themed classes. Upon walking in, we were greeted and asked if this was our first time at the location - it was our first rodeo so she explained the setup. Essentially you pick an item (price on the bottom) and once that's established you pick some colors and paint on! I know with supply issues it may be hard to stock for inventory, but found the selection enough for me plus was stumped on what to decide on! I like how they have seasonal items like ornaments, dreidels, halloweenie goodies, Easter, St Patrick's Day, etc. plus the basics like plates, cups, and side dishes. There's a range of prices from $6-$250 (that one was a gnome riding an owl statue lol). A little paint goes a long way plus I liked how they re-used the plastic palettes so that's environmentally conscious. It was super calming to paint plus liked the spinning wheel to avoid touching the item as much while getting each nook and cranny. It'll take around 2-3 weeks to pick up the item I'm guessing due to kiln space so I'll post the after picture then! If I had kids I would definitely host a party for them here, lovely way for folks of all ages to flex their creativity. Wish there were more studios with pottery wheels to create from the ground up. Perfect for rainy days!
