My child attended this facility over the past summer. Most of the staff are pretty nice, but a few seemed unfit as caregivers. One thing that I really disliked about this facility was the fact that their was rarely an attendant at the front desk and the facility has no surveillance cameras, so how do they keep track of who is entering and exiting? I have walked in and witnessed a few questionable behaviors from the caregivers who either did not realize I had walked in or did things that were inappropriate (ex. pull a child by the arm or let a child run and jump onto a table) in my sight as I picked up or dropped off my child. This facility is not the best choice for smaller children who cannot talk and explain what's happening at the daycare to their parents. On more that one occasion my child sustained injuries such as bruises or cuts (other than minor common scraps from playing outside and etc.) and NO ONE at the facility could explain what or who caused the injuries(they didn't do incident reports). My child was sent home one morning with Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (my husband and I had no idea what this sickness was), but I never received a warning that there was even an outbreak at the facility to even know to look for the warning signs. When I arrived at the facility that morning to pick up my sick child I was given a newly printed newsletter informing parents of the outbreak. HFMD is contagious which means another child brought it into the facility first! The newsletter should have been sent out when the facility got wind of the FIRST breakout not after multiple children contracted the sickness. To make matters worse when I picked up my child, that child was in a room with other children while the staff knew my child was contagious. My experience with The Learning Station has given me the opinion that the caregivers aren't very attentive, some lack proper training, and that the facility isn't sanitized to the proper standards. Although, towards the end of my child's attendance at the facility they did seem to be making some sort of turnaround, I still would not recommend this facility. If you do decide to use this facility please be very attentive to the surroundings that you are placing your little ones in, if you see any red flags you should remove them immediately.
