When they do, they shoot the messenger and protect the guilty. There is one woman lap swimmer who nearly everybody is afraid of. She is as mean as a snake. She has been lying to people about me repeatedly. She called me an asshole to my face in front of others, for no reason. She has been pissed off because when people ask to share my lane, if they have plastic paddles I ask them not to use them because I have been hit hard by good swimmers and it hurts. You can look it up- injuries and pain from plastic paddle hits in lap pools is a known problem. Yesterday an obviously competitive swimmer asked to share my lane. At first I said ok but then I saw he had plastic paddles so I asked him not to use them and I told him why. I was polite and so was he. He went to another lane. Next I saw the woman talking with the lifeguard- this is what she does- she befriends the female lifeguards then manipulates them into coming after me. Next, a guy in the middle lane starts talking loudly for all to hear saying "everybody has to share". He too obviously was upset at me. I have never spoken to the guy. I think he may have also been manipulated by this terrible woman. I corrected him. I said that I have no problem sharing, but I have a problem with the plastic paddles because they hurt when people hit you with them. He accused me of poor arm control, which was a lie. When sharing I always stay far on my side, and I never swam with this guy. Then I see the lifeguard standing near me with the assistant pool manager, who until recently, I thought was a friend. They were whispering. I said "Hey, come here. I want to talk to you about what has been happening here. Only the assistant director came over. I told him exactly what had happened. He told me that I cannot ask people not to use plastic paddles. Today I got a call from the pool director. Before he could say anything, I said- I am going to tell you what really happened. I told him the true story. He said that was not what he was told by multiple people. Clearly, the others were lying- probably repeating the lies the old woman told them about me. Before that, I offered to never occupy an entire lane, to demonstrate that I have no problem sharing. And I said if anybody asked to share with plastic paddles I will give up my lane and share with somebody else. And I said if that is not good enough, you can give me my money back and I will never go to your evil pool again. So that is the situation. I have more horror stories about the Lakeway Swim Center lap pool but thats enough for now. The best example I can give of what Lakeway Swim Center management and staff, and some lap swimmers, did to me recently, is PUBLIC LYNCHING. Yes, you read that right. No doubt about it, if these beasts had had a tree and a rope, they would have hung my ass! Do yourself a favor- skip this evil hell hole

Hidden gem in the Lake Hills neighborhood -Cuernevaca area. The pool and parking lot is private…read more There are 400-450 memberships available if you live in the neighborhood. $350 a year is super cheap and the grounds are just amazing. You must have a sticker on your vehicle and a scan tag to park in the parking lot or use the pool. They do tow. Also has a private boat launch and parking for members. If you are not a member you can walk through the gate and use the park. Only problem, there is no parking on the street. Non members park up in the neighborhood or walk from thier house. The new board has done an amazing job. They put in a new board walk and kayake racks. In general, cleaned up the place. Seems like there are a lot more people going down on the weekends to BBQ, swim and hang out. So much fun for kids of all ages. They even made a little beach area on the lake that is perfect for toddlers and such. If you live in the neighborhood, sign up for membership, you won't regret it. If you do not live in the hood, make some friends who do! It's a little hippie and very laid back. We do ask that you don't bring glass containers (wine glasses/mugs/beer bottles) and please keep the pooches on a leash.

The layout is split between a young children splash pad area and a full size pool that is split into multiple sections. I was incredibly impressed by everything they have to offer. The splash section has a slide and plenty of shade for the kids. The big pool has a walk in section that gradually gets deeper as you get in. To top it off, the have the diving boards to get out all your high flying energy. We will definitely be back all summer long.

They have a lot of picnic tables and chairs to lay your stuff at while you swim. They have a small kids play water park with slides and a bucket that dumps water. The fireworks show alone was worth the entire trip and wait. It was far better than the 4th of July. In fact it was so good I can't even imagine what the 4th of July for Cedar Park has in store for fireworks. And I'm going to guess that what they've done in the past has been great. Okay, so they had live music all night long. They had carnival game. They had carnival rides. Balloon pops frog toss. The bag slide. The spinner ride. 3 free bounce houses. The hamster ball. Also known as zorb balls. Mechanical bull. Wipeout. Rock wall climbing. Bungee bouncing. Roasted corn. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, pickles, funnel cakes. Snow cones, water, soda, tea. A gymnastics show. And a firework show that pretty much just beat all. Everything was almost reasonably priced. It can get pricey with more than one child. Especially if a family of four is wanting to do each event. It's worth doing a couple but for the type of events I don't like forking over too much cash for that. The crowd was more than pleasant. The lines were not long. Everybody was a pleasure to be around. All the staff and volunteers were all very friendly and sweet. Justin nice atmosphere all the way around. The festival lasted from 5 p.m. To 8:30 p.m.. The firework show start promptly at 830. It lasted until 8 53. 23 minutes of absolutely astonishing fireworks. Let's not forget about the kickass park they have. With a multitude of climbing pieces. A slide that will knock you on your butt. And a swimming pool what the water playground for the kids and a slide for bigger kids and adults. My family and I had the time of our life out there today. We got there around 1:30 p.m. And we stayed until 9 p.m.. It was a blast. The firework show im still talking about it. It was just really great. I can't wait till next year. This will be an annual event for us. I wish we had been the last 5 years. But I'm grateful I found out about it and we got to go get here. And I'm very much looking forward to next year.

Huge water slide for bigger kids/adults and a smaller one for smaller kids. Outside volleyball, soccer, bmx trail, 2 separated playgrounds (one for bigger kids and one for smaller). They also used to have a rock climbing wall (unsure if it's still there). This makes for one of the best parks in Austin in my opinion.

We come here often for evening walks, or to play with our dog, or picnics, or to set up a hammock in the trees. They also host community events every so often (music, movies, fireworks, etc).

This is the best of the two pools in Lago. Now that Bar-K charges a $20 fee, this pool's $2 adult /…read more$1 kids seems like a better value. There is a set of slides for the younger kids and other fun water accessories. It's really the best place for babies as the pool tapers beach style from shallow to shore. There is plenty of shade as well as vending machines and bathrooms. Not worth driving out here (I hear the CP aquatic center off New Hope is better) but it is the best option for residents with children, especially babies.
