Jenny was the technician who tended to me. I made an appointment for eyebrow and upper lip waxing as well as dip gel mani and gel pedi. Upon my arrival, a snack (fresh geen grapes, pringles and water) was readily available and set for me on my manicure table. She constantly asks how the service is going to ensure she is meeting my needs and if there is anything I need to let her know. She is very accommodating, respectful (quiet and focused on her job). I particularly love that I don't feel the service is being rushed and she is listening to my concerns/needs. ** RACIST SALON** I wish I could give this place a negative star. Worst nail salon in the area. The manager Katie is racist. My sister and I went to get some work done. We had a horrible experience. We both spent at least $60 or more. We told Katie before leaving we wish to take our nails off due to how they looked. Katie didn't have time and told us to come back the next day. The removal would be free of charge. We both went the next morning in hopes to get the nails removed. Katie acted like she didn't know us. Talk about shocked. We try to explain to her what she told us. Katie decided to tell us " you black people always want free and rude. I will call the police." We did not get loud with her or acted in any way disrespectful. For her to refer to us as "Black people" was uncalled for. We did nothing wrong to this lady. I get my nails, toes and eyebrows only at Millenium nails. Max has been doing my nails for the past 3 years and I always leave this place very happy with the job he always does. The salon is under new management and I'm following Max from another nail salon I will say give it a second chance you won't regret it. They give you free snacks and also you register your number and you get points, deals, and discount on your first visit. Sandra also is a good nail tech for the ladies she is good waxing and I loved my pedicure she does for me. Also Max makes sure my nails last me through the whole month. The staff is nice but their work not so much. This is a basic fill and color doesn't require much skill to get it done right. This is what my nails looked like when it was done. I could have fussed about it and had them do it again but I prob would have still been dissatisfied. I made this account just to leave this review....., that is how upset I am about the level of service I received at this salon. Not only did they do a horrible job on my nails and toes (check out the pics, they speak for themselves...and I'm way too embarrassed to show you my toes), but then they had the nerve to try to charge me $30 to remove them. She wanted to charge me for HER MISTAKE. She looked at my nails, saw how horrible they were and had the audacity to tell me that she would not remove those dumpster fires that she put on my hands unless I paid.... And this is after I already paid $60 for the horrible job that she did.... which I'm so upset I even did UGH. I strongly suggest that you NEVER step foot into this establishment. This is my first time here so I have no previous experience with this salon, but the three staff members tonight were very nice and I was helped right away. Wow, I was presented with a bottle of water, grapes and Pringles. What a nice touch to offer something extra while relaxing during a pedicure! Staff was very unpleasant to interact with. Walked out paying 70$ for my acrylic fill and pedicure with NO polish on. The woman that did my nails was very aggressive while talking to me (lots of yelling and seemed mad not sure why) they were re using tools without cleaning them. To do my pedicure they used "soft soap" on my feet to scrub them. Something I could pay 2$ for at the dollar store or Walmart. Never will go back again. I went in for a pedicure and the tools kit she used on my feet was in a plastic carrying case that they obviously take from client to client and do NOT sanitize in between. The tech literally cleaned off the cuticle tool with rubbing alcohol right in front of me. Then she used a cheese grater on my feet which are illegal to use. Then to top all of that off she used a pumice stone on my feet and cleaned it off in the tub of water my feet were soaking in and put it right back into her drawer. She also used a scrubber on the top of my feet that can not be sterile for use on everyone! I would never step foot in here again. read more

I hesitate even giving this nail spa even one star. I walked in for a mani-pedi. First visit as a new resident in area. The young man who was my technician reused instruments and cloths. The gel manicure was aweful. Lack of caring and skills. Uneven lumps, etc. My pedicure was ruined after he put my feet back into my shoes. I asked if it was dry. He said maybe and walked away. And no, they Never cleaned the chairs. I also noticed that they do no clean their clippers correctly between customers. Reusing them not using new or properly soaked ones. Horrible! Worst basic manicure I have ever had. I will never again visit Millennium Nail & Spa. My nails are a mess; the technician over-filed the nail surface so they are now incredibly thin, and he over-trimmed my cuticles so now every finger has tiny hangnails. It has been less than a week and the messy gel polish left on my skin and embedded in my cuticles is still there, but the polish on the ends of my short nails are now chipping. And it does not appear they sanitize their nail clippers and cuticle trimmers. Their prices are higher than other local salons and the parking is a disaster. Skip this nail salon. read more

Despite the reviews I decided to try this place out. "Jenny" did my nails and she really took her time and chatted with me the entire time. I got a gel manicure and it only took 45 mins. I'm very simple with my manicures but sometimes it's the simple things that are hard to find. I will certainly try them again and make sure Jenny does my nails. read more

The lady who used to do my nails left, so now I only go to Katie. She is the owner and does a great job on my acrylic fill, pedicure, and eyebrows. I love that I don't have to give her a lot of directions. Just to show how good a job she does: I moved to DC and still drive out to Dumfries to get my nails done. She's that good! The other ladies in the shop do a great job with pedicures. I haven't had them do my nails, so I can't speak to that. There is a big color selection, the shop is clean, and quiet. I went in for my first pedicure and manicure since the pandemic. Let's start with the positive. They greeted me as soon as I came in and took me right away as a walk in. The lady that did my pedicure did a great job with the massage. Now for the negative. The color job on my toes was very sloppy. I wanted the same color on my toes and fingers but the color did not match. A different lady did my full set tips. She left glue on the side of my nails, the color was uneven and my fingers were left dry, no lotion no massage nothing! I felt she started to rush once another customer came in. She told that customer 5-10 more minutes then I'll take you. She tells me to go wash my hands. When I return the other customer was already at my seat but my phone and shoes were still there!! She said you're done. When I go to pay I started to complain because in the light I could see the sloppy even better. They tried to fix my shit while I was standing up at the counter. By then I just wanted to get out of there? For $75 I could have done this messy job myself! read more

This is my go-to place for nails and waxing after I moved to the area last year. I've had manicures (regular and shellac), pedicures, and eye-brow waxing done here before. The services are priced okay for this area (right in the middle) and the service is decent. The owner does a really good job at pedis, manis, and brows. She's my favorite person to be serviced by. I had shellac nails done by a girl that works there and the nails turned out beautifully. The only con I would say is I prefer the owner for pedis and brows because she does a really good, clean job at it while the other girls do just a so-so job (in my opinions...but I'm also a perfectionist when it comes to those things). Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. It's less crowded and the ambiance is nice. It's very relaxing and the scrub they use here for the spa pedicure is very nice and I really enjoy it! read more

They are not the greatest. Left spaces between my nails and cuticles. My co-workers had warned my not to go here, but I went anyways because it was convenient. Bad idea! When I pointed out that the male technician left spaces in between, he went ahead and started filing my nails down. Obviously that didn't help. There are plenty of nail salons around the area. I like this place mostly because of the prices - I got a mani and pedi for $35, then with a design it was only $36 because of military discount. Score! You just really have to watch the paint job - because it can be somewhat sloppy. I had to tell the girl to make sure to get the hard to reach corners between the nail and skin. Regardless, everyone is really friendly and I enjoyed sitting in the nice pedicure chairs. They have a pretty good selection of colors as well, and they have a cool checkout system involving an iPad looking thing. You pretty much get what you pay for here - a 3/5 quality manicure and pedicure for an amazing price. It seems like Katie is the most experienced here, so I'd ask for her to paint AND put on your acrylics (they had a young girl who was still in high school paint - she was decent). I'd go back. This nail salon is horrible. They don't listen to anything you tell them. I came to get my nails done and asked that my nail shape be kept the same. After glancing down i almost screamed in horror to see that the woman doing my nails filed off half of one side! Then, the gel color didn't match the color on the selection ring by a long shot. Dumfries area Spa: nails, wax, massage. Their customer service has always been great! A female owns the spa and that's always a good thing. (Sorry boys.) It's not your typical mall looking salon and attitude with in and out service--which is also great. It's chic looking and it's quiet for a great relaxing time. Prices aren't too bad. But definitely not over the top as I have encountered in the area. I give it 4 stars because I know the DC area has a lot to offer and there's high end salons. But for the Dumfries area this Spa is as good as it gets! read more

I write a lot of reviews and I've never given one star before now. So I apologize for my long review but I have to back it up with my horrible experience. I've gone here a few times before and my experience was slightly below average but I don't have the highest expectations when going to these types of nail salons. Most times I felt like I was ordering cold cuts and should "take a number and get in line" and then rushed. And that was during the day on a weekday so I should've known better. But I went in on a Saturday and had to wait a few minutes before taking a seat with a woman who asked me three times if I wanted my eyebrows waxed. You can remove polish but a bad wax job isn't so easy to fix. She was super rushed, jabbed me a few times and cut me! I tried to let her know my discomfort but as soon as who I assume was her regular client was done with her pedi she got me out of my seat so her client could sit down and finished my manicure in the drying area! Whatever, for $15 it is what it is and my nails looked good at the time so I left with what I wanted minus a little blood. I went to a formal event that night and halfway through the night my nails started going from a tasteful glossed nude to RED! So I spent the night hiding my fingers. By the next morning they were so red I was worried they had stained my nails. I know bad polish happens and I didn't want it to happen to anyone else so I stopped at the salon and showed them my nails. Luckily the manager was there so I thought she would handle the situation professionally. I was wrong. They said I must've died my hair or something. I have blonde hair and less than 24 hours had passed. So I got up, asked them to please remove their bad product from their shelves so no one else would end up with bad polish. Yay, First review! I got my first pedicure ever here at Millennium, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I really enjoyed it. I think a basic pedi was $20 or $25. Their throne-like chairs with built-in massagers were fun to sit in, and my toes looked adorable when my nail specialist was done with me. Cash tips only, though they take credit cards for the services themselves. I've been trying to find a similar salon near my home and haven't really found anything yet that matches the great prices with the nice atmosphere. Great nails, great price. We moved to Montclair just under a year ago and I have been to 4 different nail places and it's always hit or miss. I typically get pink & white on my fingernails and a standard pedicure, so I judge by the quality of the pink & white and how long it lasts. I've been going to Jack at Nail Spa but sometimes he isn't feeling like doing nails so I get someone else and the product isn't so great. Well he did my current set and I needed a fill but they were closed (Easter). So I saw Millenium on Yelp and gave them a call. Katie answered and made an appt for 30 mins away and she was great. The pedicure was thorough and didn't feel rushed. She did exactly as I requested for my backfill - cut the nails down and shaped them nicely and the fill itself looks great. Price was reasonable, too! I think I found my new nail place! The reason for only four stars is bc the massage chairs were beat up and not very effective.
