Multi storied with fiction and non-fiction separated on different floors. It has a historic interior with modern (new fangled/ technology) return slots! Back to where I started, the large wooden tables in the study room were perfect for me to spread out a print newspaper that I wanted to read. Some patrons bring their laptops to study or work - no cell phone or food/eating allowed. Looking for fun items to borrow? There are DVDs and other entertainment items by the periodical section. I would say the Burlingame Public library is a great destination for the entire family. It is conducive to community, learning and focuses on the collection obooks...yes old-world but a tactile, delightful medium!

It's small, intimate, cozy, and homey. There's a fireplace and big leather sofas and chairs. There's stuffed animals, a small garden with a bench in the back (I used to water those plants!), and jigsaw puzzles for kids. You will get to know the librarians and staff here. There's story times and events for adults as well as kids. They really make it like a community center. I make sure to stop by whenever I visit my parents and I love saying hi to my old coworkers and seeing how the library is growing and changing. It's a great place to get movies, books, magazines, the daily newspaper, and use the WiFi, or their desktop computers and printers. They have less selection than the main library on Primrose near downtown, but the parking is free here and they have all the new DVDs and books and fewer library patrons come to the Easton Branch. I found a comfy chair on the bottom level where I hunkered down and read my book for almost 2 hours. Everyone respected the quiet rules. This mall has the missing link of the chain stores missing in San Francisco which is a bookstore with lots of square footage. This is the biggest bookstore closest to San Francisco without crossing a bridge. The best part of this is bookstore is you can reading the books and inside at the Cafe is a hybrid Starbucks and Cheesecake Factory without the savory plates and 20 page menu. This place is also a mix of study hall, workspace ,and social gathering spot. The last of the best physical book store is at the Tanforan Mall at Barnes and Noble where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. We love the libraries in the hills, they tend to be higher quality books and seem to be in fairly interesting and pretty places, this Little Free Library was no different! This locate is in the Temple parking lot and boasts and adults and kids section separated top and bottom. The quality and selection of the books was quite good running towards more cerebral. Leaving the parking lot there is a gorgeous view, especially after a hard rain like we got this weekend. All in all it was a lot of fun to drive up here, a definite stop if you're in the area!

I haven't gone in yet, but I communicate with them via email and I've found out so much about my grandfather who died when my father was a baby and my great grandfather. I am beyond furious at this center. My LGBTQ child matters... but not to THIS organization…read moreapparently. They strung us along all summer when my child needed services. Finally set something up after 3 months of waiting on their waiting list for 9/1. My daughter was SO happy to finally speak with someone. The therapist she was assigned to cancelled last minute, saying that she had "things come up" and wouldn't be able to see her and gave us resources to help find a therapist. She was devastated. We waited 3 months for THIS? Now I'm at ground zero with a depressed, vulnerable child who needs a professional NOW! They are so unprofessional!!! Do NOT use them. They'll string you along like they did to us!
