I've been…read morecoming here since I was a child but even as an adult I needed help finding books and printing some emails. The staff went above and beyond for me. I asked them if they could help me do something on the computer and the lady told me they definitely could but that they also have designated times where you can come in where people can devote a little more time with helping you troubleshoot. So awesome. While I was there I was also with my little one and I was told they offer story times and play times for the little ones. During the times i've been there they've also done coloring, painting, and fun activities like singing with them. This library is always clean and parking isn't hard. If you're taking your little ones there's also a park right outside as well as tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields and baseball diamonds. It's a wonderful library filled with the most incredible staff. Every time I come here and I need a little help I'm always blown away by the level of kindness and support. Not a greeting or asked if I needed help locating anything. The library employees that is located on Southgate Ave, are very helpful and friendly

They happily let me use the one "study room", but it's only got a side table, not an actual desk. Really uncomfortable. Parking kind of sucks. The streets are choked with other people competing for space.

Only reason is your guest would have to pay for parking if they can't find street parking & I didn't know my guest had to pay for parking til the day of my party. But all in all that was the only CON I had. I wish they would let the guest park there for free & any outsiders like the people that park there for the beach should pay.... This is the kind of bookstore I really respect. It's straightforward, packed with interesting…read morebooks, and run by someone who clearly cares about what they do. It has a comfortable, no-pressure vibe and offers a great mix of new and used titles. I ended up walking out with a big stack for my personal collection. The used section in the back is especially worth checking out, with hardcovers priced at two dollars and paperbacks at just one dollar. The owner is a solid guy. Very helpful and happy to special order anything you might be looking for. That kind of service is hard to come by these days and really makes a difference. Parking is on the street, but I had no problem finding a spot. The store's in a walkable area surrounded by local cafes, antique shops, and restaurants. You're also just a short stroll from the coastline and the pier, which makes this an even better stop if you're looking to spend a laid-back day in town. I really enjoy places like this. It's the kind of bookstore that feels real and personal, and I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area.

New year. New visit to the Burlingame Public library on primrose Avenue in Burlingame, California…read more Today's treat was one of their swap days. Today's swap day revolved around games and puzzles. Picked up a couple of puzzles from a family members, and the children of my friends. Separate from that. Spent some time in the computer lab. Working on some stuff. They have some decently new Macintosh systems to work on. Not my native OS normally. But I like it. I like the fact that they have both windows and Mac and tosh systems. In the end. I don't care because I'm operating system agnostic, and welcome the experience on just about every operating system you can imagine.. The maker lab at this library is also excellent . Environmentally it's hard to go wrong with a visit to the Burlingame Public library. It's a beautiful building inside and out.
