Unfortunately it held mostly children's books, which for a non-school/daycare Little Free Library is a bit strange. I also was surprised it wasn't in perfect shape as it is so close to the business it's next to. But my guess is that it's a quick stop on the way in for families to grab while they're waiting for a table or eating dinner and that most of the books are returned shortly after they leave. All in all a very cute locate, especially since it matches the restaurant. Yay Little Free Library!

The second time the childrens box had lost its front but I still loved the fact that it was child height and thus accessible to the small ones. I also just adore this general area because this Little Free Library is right near some wonderful honeysuckle that is breathtaking to smell when its blooming! Even though this particular locale of Little Free Library doesnt tend to have much sci-fi or fantasy, it's still a fun one to drop by when you're in the Burlingame area! Yay Little Free Library!

I see the owners lovingly tarp the Little Free Library when rain's expected so books don't get wet and damaged. Tourists linger not only to take a photo in front of this restored Victorian home but often take a book to read on their travels. A kind and thoughtful addition to Alamo Square.

I'm never quite sure if it's the look they're going for or if it's just a old book box and they don't have the time or resources to replace it. The books seemed fine with no weather damager and beyond the edges the LFL looked well taken care of, but it always worries me when I see the boxes that look a bit un-loved. But ah, well Yay Little Free Library!

It's multicolored, and very attractive. Everything about this box is well done. It was stocked plentifully with all kinds of interesting books. Thank you for creating such a beautiful box. There are a few drawbacks to this location. Because of the hill the home sits on, there isn't really a good place to park, it's also inconvenient in that it's pretty far onto this home's property and looks very similar to a mailbox. The box also has a few spider issues - so those who are a bit afraid be warned. This locale had almost entirely children's books, Boxcar Children, Pony Pals, etc and had some math flash cards in the back. It was a super cute design, but I'm just not sure how often people with kids would be driving up this road or how good at weathering the outdoors this box will be. All in all the lil'ist Little Free Library I've come across, but probably one that needed a bit more thought put into it.

It was up in the twisty hills of Belmont and he adored seeing the fancy mailboxes dotting the houses in this area! This Little Free Library had perhaps the best quality and quantity of books for the day. There were a ton of advanced reader copies, mostly adult fiction novels. The variety of the genre's was really quite surprising and this may be a regular for us to stop by! I would have liked to have seen a bit more decoration on this one, but definitely super cute nonetheless! Yay Little Free Library!

this old fashioned white little library (#143662) looks grayish in real time. it has a mix of…read morenonfiction and fiction books, a few children books. it's an old style 2 level affair. it's located a street awau from fairway. address looks strange. reads: "They Called Us Enemy" (George Takei) -it's a graphic memoir George Takei who is known for his role as of Sulu in "Star Trek". -story starts with his childhood involuntary incarceration with over 120,000 Japanese and Japanese Americans in 10 concentration camps thruout the arid deserts in the US. -his crime was being Japanese in an aura of anti-Japan/anti-Asian animus. the Japanese were hated for being too efficient in farming and occuping valuable farmland. competitors and the government salivated at seizing their land and property for pennies. *this is comparable to the Tulsa race massacre in Tulsa, Oklahoma during 1921 when city officials wiped out black wall street in greenwood for being too self-sufficient and competing with white businesses. heroics of the 442nd "go for broke" all-Japanese regiment with the highest casualty rate in WW2 is also mentioned.. Takei has done countless acting bits before being Sulu and many voices & acting gigs since. he's very talented, active in civil rights, community affaris & many artistic endeavors... in 1992, U.S. government legislation passed stating the it's actions in WW2 was based on "racial prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership", a presidential apology was given and reparation of $20,000 was given to each surviving 82,219 Japanese Americans who had been interned. *actually got "Charlie Chan is missing", an Asian American anthology here.
