There are a few drawbacks to this location. Because of the hill the home sits on, there isn't really a good place to park, it's also inconvenient in that it's pretty far onto this home's property and looks very similar to a mailbox. The box also has a few spider issues - so those who are a bit afraid be warned. This locale had almost entirely children's books, Boxcar Children, Pony Pals, etc and had some math flash cards in the back. It was a super cute design, but I'm just not sure how often people with kids would be driving up this road or how good at weathering the outdoors this box will be. All in all the lil'ist Little Free Library I've come across, but probably one that needed a bit more thought put into it.

Belmont seems to be a town of 2s…read more The whole things seems like it's about 2 square miles. They have TWO Safeway grocery stores exactly a mile from each other. And they have (at least) two children's lending libraries. This one is also located in a residential area and actually seems to be borderline private property though the friendliness of the library and inviting artwork tell a different story. The selection here is actually pretty stacked... sometimes with actual books from the regular library still with library property label on them.

"Surprising find in Redwood City"…read more I was on my way to a beer brewery, and happened to see this beautiful little box on a pleasant street corner. It is colorfully painted, and in excellent shape. Notice the big sign, "Free books for kids!" As you can see from the photos, it is really a treasure! Jam-packed with books as well. This little library is definitely one of the more attractive, creatively designed boxes I have seen. Check out those photos! Also notice the cute stump at the base of fhe library post, as well as the custom designed brick structure foundation. Someone obviously went to a lot of trouble to create this wonderful treasure. Physical Location: 3203 Curtiss St…read moreSan Mateo, CA 94403 This was the second on our jaunt and was a bit hard to find (at the end of Curtiss street, around the corner from the home that's listed) but had enough Sci Fi books that the honey wanted to leave one of his for solidarity sake. This Little Free Library was on the larger side, usually the size I see at when the LFL is at a school or daycare, but because it looked to be at the beginning of a trail it might be a popular locale for the locals! Especially since it looked a little sparse. All in all a nice little area, and wish we could have gone for a walk!

"Beautiful, multicolored."…read more I happened to be biking by, and spotted this beautiful little box. The first thing you notice is how colourful it is, with that bright purple front. It's multicolored, and very attractive. Everything about this box is well done. It was stocked plentifully with all kinds of interesting books. Thank you for creating such a beautiful box. We love the libraries in the hills, they tend to be higher quality books and seem to be in fairly interesting and pretty places, this Little Free Library was no different! This locate is in the Temple parking lot and boasts and adults and kids section separated top and bottom. The quality and selection of the books was quite good running towards more cerebral. Leaving the parking lot there is a gorgeous view, especially after a hard rain like we got this weekend. All in all it was a lot of fun to drive up here, a definite stop if you're in the area!

It is really bright and well made, and stocked with plenty of books. There were even overflow books in a cardboard box below. Plus, they offer free hand sanitizer. With the sweetest little knob and a cute little Welcome flagstone we dropped by to check out their selection. They had a nice mix of children, tweens, and thoughtful adult fiction and memoir. The cute little guestbook and darling little free bookmarks were just the icing on top! All in all a wonderful location! We dropped off a couple books and went on our way :D
