Corey asked me if I left my Stanley cup there the last time I was there..(2 months ago!) and I looked over to my amazement... And yes, it was mine... I knew I left it behind somewhere, but I had no idea where. They not only remembered me... But they held onto it ..saving it for me ..two months later!! I can't say enough good things about the shop... My grandson visits from Texas during the summer and over Christmas break and we always make a point to go back to the Chop Shop! Made my way over, and waited less than 5 minutes before the barber was ready for me. Unfortunately I didn't get his name, but he was former military and spent some time based in Hawaii where I'm from. I told him how I like my fade, and he delivered perfectly. He was very friendly and we chatted it up the whole time. The service is great, the vibe is awesome, and the prices are super reasonable especially with the quality of cut received. I love it because he is not a huge drinker, so I can go into the bar area and wait for him while he is in the chair (and have his free drink while I wait!) The ambiance is definitely upscale and leaning into the "masculine" aesthetic, both in the salon side and in the bar. It's all woods and leathers, with dark concrete floors. They offer a subscription service, but you don't have to have that if you want to just come in for a singular cut, and a free drink (cocktail, beer, coffee) is included even if you come in for a single barber visit vs. having a subscription. I definitely recommend Scissors and Scotch as a wife who can sit on the bar wide and enjoy a beer/read a book, while my husband is getting a great cut!
