However, they ghosted after that. I never got a quote, nor did they reply to my message following up. Left me wondering if they would disappear once work started if I had ended up moving forward with them.

Jorge and his crew re-insulated, repaired, and repainted those areas. While working on our bathroom, Jorge discovered that one section had no insulation, which was causing condensation issues. Additionally, he found that the electrical wires in our bathroom were exposed behind the walls, and he promptly had his electrician address that. They also installed a new bathroom fan in our kids' bathroom and painted it that room and ceiling as well. We also had them paint our front door. This is a story of a leaky shower. After literally years of hiring various well regarded plumbers…read moreand handymen to try to remedy it, it always leaked again - usually in less than a year. When mold showed through the ceiling of the room below the shower and the mold remediation contractor cut through the ceiling it was clear we needed to consider replacing the shower and much of the subfloor. Serious perusing of reviews on yelp led me to JRW. Just one phone call made me hopeful. First they re- grouted the shower pan/wall connection so it could be used until they had an opening in their schedule a few weeks away to replace the shower. Finally the big day came. Joel (the owner) sent me photos (it was a tenant occupied home) everyday and explained every step of the way what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He respected my decisions. He also picked out materials subject to my approval - and I always said yes because his choices were excellent as well as in budget. I had been concerned of the impact of a big project with workers in and out every day for a week or so on the tenants. I needn't have worried, the day after it was complete the tenant emailed me unsolicited and said that the workers did a great job: excellent workmanship, seemed trustworthy, respectful of the tenants and house, cleaned up everything and though they hope no more issues arise, they said if workers are ever needed there again they would hope it's the crew from JRW. Two small issues arose unrelated to this project (sticky door and gutter issue) and Joel took care of them for a minor charge. Most mom and pop landlords will tell you- the dreaded call from a tenant that something is broken causes you a few minutes of angst trying to figure out who to call to get it fixed. Now that I know about JRW, I won't feel that worry anymore.

Joel, Ed, and the others are a pleasure to work with. The first job was a master bath remodel, which came out beautiful. A few years later they replaced our 2 sliding patio doors and went the extra mile when they found out that the wood under one of them was rotted. At that time, they also repaired our ceiling which was damaged when our roof leaked. Earlier this year, they replaced a shower surround and kitchen sink. I recommend them!

We were referred to C.W. White and Son Inc. (Bill White) by another tradesperson working on our…read morehouse. Bill came highly recommended. Our project consisted of adding an en-suite bath to the downstairs master bedroom. Our home is over 100 years old and was in need of MAJOR updating. This was complicated by our primary address being located in Louisiana. Bill was provided detailed drawings as well as a list of all finishes for this project. He managed the demo of an old well, a new foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, roofing and HVAC with few or no surprises and he worked well with our graphic designer. The quality of his work far exceeded our expectations. From detailed proposals/bids to a scheduled timeline, Bill pulled off what we would consider a miracle. There were many obstacles that were addressed effortlessly and nothing seemed to interfere with the work at hand. Despite the recent addition, the resulting "new" bathroom blends seamlessly with the original house. C.W. White and Son is an extremely detail oriented contractor with years of experience. Although we are embarrassed we didn't post this in the spring of 2017 when the work was completed, we would HIGHLY recommend Bill and would definitely use him again.

We recently had a different "fix it" company here for two days. We gave up on them in frustration. They made a lot of errors and were very slow. ***Then we switched to Mr. Handyman and everything turned around for the better.*** Kevin and Ray got more done in half a day than the two other workers accomplished in two days. And Keven and Ray did a much more professional, higher quality job. Our activities included electrical (over 40 switches and outlets replaced!), painting, basement ceiling track replacement, painting and installation of a basement handrail, sump pump work, exterior caulking, and duct replacement and sealing. Their hourly rate might be a little higher than some of their competitors, but their total cost, due to their expertise and work ethic, was far less. I have absolutely zero hesitation recommending this firm.
