Great shop, detail-oriented, been going there for decades, and great problem-solving.

I highly recommend Mill Pond Auto Body. I was looking for a local body shop after my wife's wrangler was hit, so I stopped in randomly to get a quote. The owner was great and discussed the options. I immediately felt comfortable with using them. And Maureen at the front desk who deals with all the paperwork and insurance issues was amazing.. she explained the process from start to finish and kept us in the loop the entire time. They did an excellent job; her wrangler looked perfect, and they returned it cleaned inside and out! I highly recommend using them. read more

My son got into a car accident on Nov 10 2022, wrecking a good chunk of his passenger side fender, scratches to his passenger door and other miscellaneous damage. Mill Pond gave us an honest quote, helped us navigate the insurance claim and was able to repair everything, as promised, by Dec 2 (keeping in mind this is over Thanksgiving, as well)! Besides making this a painless process, they did a fantastic job on the repair as you can see from the picture. The car was cleaned, detailed and the staff was helpful and responsive. Would highly recommend! read more

I cannot say enough about Peter, Maureen, and the staff of Mill Pond Auto Body & Glass. I made a claim through my insurance to repair damage to the front of my car. Peter and Maureen worked with my insurance to ensure I got the most money to cover the total cost of the damage. In addition, they expedited my repair so I could get my car back quickly - since I was paying out-of-pocket for a rental. Maureen guided me through the insurance process as this was my first claim. I felt absolute trust as she explained how it was going to work. I had my car back in less than a week from claim to complete repair. The car looks brand new! I highly recommend Mill Pond! read more

This place is OUTSTANDING!! It is small and personal and from the moment Maureen answers the phone you are calm and reassured. Maureen is kind and full of knowledge and makes the whole experience easy! The owner Peter is amazing and cares for each customer with such care and precision. My new car was hit while parked, a friend told me to only call Millpond. I arrived with an Enterprise rental agent waiting for me, when I came back only 6 days later my car was perfection, and an agent was there to take my rental! Seamless.... and Maureen had all the insurance handled ! I cannot recommend them highly enough, a total pleasure !!! read more

Mill Pond Auto Body made a stressful situation a breeze. My car was hit in a parking lot about a month ago and the person who hit me was being extremely rude and difficult. Maureen went out of her way to accommodate us and make sure that we didn't have to pay anything out of our own pockets until the driver who hit us paid. She helped with all of the paperwork and worked around our schedule for a seamless drop off and pickup so I didn't have to miss any days of work. The car is good as new and we are grateful. If you are looking for honest people and reliable service look no further! read more

With 4 cars under one roof especially living in NY, scratches/dents and color issues are something that happens constantly, unfortunately. With that in mind I couldn't be happier I am using it for years now Mill Pond Body shop. Such a great service, very knowledgeable, and always willing to go above and beyond to resolve every issue. The office worked around my schedule to get the best fit for my needs and communicate so well and provide the most detailed updates at the current time. Maureen from Mill Pond office is just the most wonderful and helpful person I have ever known! Maureen got the stress off my shoulders when my son's car was rear-ended, and all with a full smile and most soothing motherly voice. Mill Pond handled and arranged all required to get the car fixed to PERFECTION. They explained every step in the process, and communicate with the insurance company, adjusters, and car rental company for me or otherwise I would be so overwhelmed. Peter the owner, not enough words to explain this gentleman's knowledge of cars. Peter always kept us posted on the damages, and work needs to be done and always with a smile and great manners. Finally, and most importantly, the car was ready for us in no time, perfectly fixed with all original parts, washed, and cleaned.... Could not ask for any better outcome and of course service, it absolutely feels like HOME with Mill Pond Family. Thank you for your great service Maureen and Peter at Mill Pond Body Shop. read more

On 10-11 a tractor trailer tire came flying off a truck on the LIE and hit into my driver side door. Mill Pond Auto Body fixed my car for a reasonable price and within 3 days! Mill Pond made the process of getting my car fixed easy for me. They worked with the insurance company, arranged for a rental car for me, and put a car seat back in that they had to take out during the repair. They kept me in the loop on the repair and got it done within my requested time frame. The work itself was excellent too--the car looks better than it did before! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My car had a giant scratch across 2 doors and I was referred to Mill Pond, not only were they extremely friendly but were very helpful. Since this was the first time I ever had to get my car fixed. I have a VW Jetta lease and wanted to make sure when I had to return my car I would have no issues, they guaranteed it would be accepted and even offered that when the time came (and if I had a problem) to give them a call so they would further assist. I would highly recommend their auto shop to anyone in need of car service. read more

True professionals at Mill Pond Auto Body. I brought my car there recently after being in an accident. Maureen in the office was extremely helpful. She advised me on how to deal with the two insurance companies involved and got me into a rental car that day. Once I put the claim in with the insurance company she took over from there. She was a tremendous help in dealing with all the phone calls and time consuming issues that come with insurance claims. My car was repaired quickly and looks like new. I was very impressed with the quality of their work. I highly recommend using Mill Pond Auto Body. read more

Had an excellent experience at Mill Pond. Maureen was so knowledgable and helpful and put us right at ease. They remained in contact with us and explained everything that they would be doing. The car looks amazing. Highly recommend! read more

Do not use this body shop. Joe is as shady as they come. He pushed us to put a light hit through insurance and then quadrupled the amount of damage by ripping the car apart aka "damage enhancement". Once that was done, he forged a payment instruction letter so the insurance company would send him all of the money directly. Joe told us the original damage was going to be about $3K. By the time he got done ripping my bumper off and breaking a headlight that wasn't broken, the damage became $12K. That, John D, is what I'm talking about. read more

This place is fantastic. Maureen handled all the insurance stuff for me and is very knowledgable . My car came out great and they did a free interior exterior detail. Work was done quickly. My BMW looks like new. So glad I chose this place read more

I have bringing my cars here for years. With 5 cars and 2 kids driving, the cars have had their share of bumps and bruises. Mill Pond always delivers and does an immaculate job fixing and healing. On a larger scale 5 years ago my son got into a bad accident driving into a telephone pole. He was OK but the Infinity FX had around 25K worth of damage. After Mill Pond got finished with it, the car was like new. Paint always matches perfectly. You can never tell body work was done. You can always discuss things with Joseph the owner, cause he cares about your satisfaction, so its not just about the work done, its standing behind his work that counts as well. read more

MY Mercedes was brought with a light deer hit. Told approx $3,000.00 if paid out of pocket. Was run through State Farm & total became $11,000.00. Had pictures we took after hit which showed very little damage. When State Farm Adjuster got to the shop the whole front end was off the car, ripped off. Term is "Damage enhancement". Owner of the shop then signed my name to a "Directions of funds" form so the check would go directly to him. Says "Everybody does it" The insurance company calls it FRAUD. Waiting to see what the Atty Generals office & DA think. STEER CLEAR read more

I first want to say that I feel terrible that this review is so late as my accident occurred in April of 2013. So, my boyfriend & I were moving in together & he scraped my car with the moving van...things happen people, that's why they call it an accident & yes, we're still together). So I got an estimate at a place in Freeport for low price but car wouldn't be ready for about 3 weeks. I submitted that quote to insurance company, like a moron since it was just an estimate, but when I found out how long it would take, I took it to Mill Pond b/c a relative working for AAA recommended them. They did the repairs at the original quote even though that quote was low balling it, had it done in record time, dealt with the insurance company for me so I wouldn't be bothered AND cleaned the car too!!! Always hard to find a good mechanic that u can trust but let me tell you that my car looked better than the day I bought it. In addition, the customer service was something to be desired. Patient & kind, something that is missing nowadays in almost any form of business! read more
