If you can't afford a 10% increase after the first or second year, it might not be worth it. And they have a persistent issue with mice! Over a year of finding mouse droppings in my oven drawer and counter tops - the maintenance team has gone above and beyond to try and fix it, but it's clearly a facility-wide issue. The police have been called several times to this complex for shooting, DV and theft. Cars are broken into in front of the building without any video surveillance and packages have been stolen. They had a prostitute living on the 2nd floor, and harassing neighbors until so many people complained and the police were called. When we renewed our lease we were told we would get a renewal bonus but we even had a hard time with that as well. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE!!!!!

It was a last minute/last resort kind of thing. I had never rented from a place that only allowed a 6 month lease to be signed. I do not know if they were trying to see if I could afford the rent or not or if that was their actual policy. I was 100% grateful though. The move in process was fast, the remodeled unit I had was nice, and the maintenance guy was always responsive, but here is why I would not recommend moving here. I did not really deal with the leasing agents much and when I did they responded. I remember the person I told I would not be renewing the lease smack her lips and I thought that was hilarious! I paid right at $2k a month to live here with no amenities. That's $2k out of my pocket with no assistance of any kind. I do not know if this place is income based, (it definitely looks that way), but not worth 2000 bucks a month. There were issues with the kitchen sink leaking upon move in, they had contractors come out multiple times to try to fix it, and they eventually got it to stop leaking. While one of the contractors were there... he picked up my stud finder and asked if it was his because he had one just like it. My response was if he'd heard anything fall from his toolbox, he said no, and I told him it was mine. Who walks through someone else's home picking up things that do not belong to them?! Beyond unprofessional. The female who came into the unit with the contractors left energy drink cans in my bathroom and used my paper towels as if she was at her house without asking. Absolutely mind boggling! Issues with package delivery. I stayed filing BBB complaints with FedEx and UPS for leaving my items in the mailroom instead of bringing to my front door to the apartment listed on the address. The trash build up was horrendous! People throwing trash on the ground around the dumpster, having to squeeze in and out of my car when attempting to park on a hill and the first floor unit was down three flights of stairs. Look before you lease. I did not and took a loss. Days before I moved out the kitchen sink flooded in the middle of the night. Maintenance responded, had a plumber come, brought in big fans, but if my items were not already packed up they would have been ruined. I was so glad to leave. I really did not have any interaction with the neighbors except someone barking at me a couple times as I got out of my car. I'm not a dog so I never turned around. There was a weirdo who felt it was appropriate to double park his raggedy truck in the guest parking area which was very frustrating. When the neighbor across from me saw me moving out they told me they had a mold issue and was not able to be let out of their lease which sucked. I also caught neighbors allowing their animals to relieve themselves near my patio and not pick it up. Very frustrating. Overall... this part of Everett is the ghetto. Crime ridden. Stayed hearing police sirens. Something happening on Evergreen Way everyday. Two pros: There is a grocery store/ shopping center within walking distance and if you need to catch the bus for any reason a stop is close by.

Rent is raised (rent was increased and parking was going to be an additional $50 a month). Heritage Manor does not offer an auto-pay option so a check or money order needs to be mailed for the rent. Money orders, stamps and envelopes cost money and time. Get with the times Heritage Manor and set up auto-pay. My daughter lived in apartment 20 (650 sq. ft.) for $950 a month. I did like that all the apartments were enclosed. Great security feature for single women. My daughter's apartment came with one assigned free parking spot. Renter's insurance is mandatory. Heritage Manor offers zero amenities. On-site coin operated washer and dryers are available. Units do not offer a dishwasher or microwave. Heritage Manor is very old and the units show it. Heritage Manor returned the full $500 refundable security deposit within a timely manner. Overall, there are better apartments in Everett for the same price with full amenities.

In my recent situation, the Leasing Office urgently needed some insurance information and three (3) people at my work place decided to quit - on the same day. That meant I was juggling a lot of extra email accounts and phones. In the end - the Leasing Office/Management Team worked directly with my insurance company to get what was needed - which was appreciated. Most importantly, the Team in the Leasing Office called me back, confirming that everything was resolved - which was also appreciated - as I really didn't need "one more thing" to worry about given the situation. Since moving here, everyone I've worked with at Merrill Creek - Leasing and Maintenance - have been courteous, honest, kind and professional. Life can get a little crazy sometimes; having consistency and stability when it comes to dealing with your 'home' , the place where you 'live', is important... this group has provided that for me.

People are smoking fentanyl in the hallways and setting off alarms from smoking cigarettes in the hallways. I have multiple videos of the ear piercing alarm that gets set off throughout the morning. They last from 5 mins- 20 mins. There is black mold everywhere that they just paint over!!!! Ground floor floods everyday. The fence that leads to the parking lot in the back is broken and refuse to properly fix it and they refuse to put cameras up in the parking lot to protect you when multiple people have asked for them and when people give the police statements, police say that they encourage the property to put up cameras and they don't! Denise Koval has called me ridiculous for worrying about my safety and god forbid you try to contact her on the weekends. She really needs those reset days. The way Denise runs this property is a big reflection of who she is..trashy! And so is this property. STAY AWAY FROM HERE. They will raise your rent every year as well, $175.

We had told him that we wanted to move to a closer assigned parking spot since it has been vacant since we moved in and nobody has parked in it, we have 2 children under 2 and walking a far distant from our apartment to the car in the rain and cold is a recipe for illness, anyways, we had asked him, he said he'll let us know. Little did we know we informed him of an empty spot, and the next day there was a car parked there. Its very unprofessional. The car parked didn't even have the parking permit with the spot number until 2 days after it's been parked there. We've been eyeing that parking spot for a long time and finally built the courage to request it from them and this is what we get? Shows how much they value their renters.
