Indy's Short Chef is a family operated business her staff is courteous, attentive, quiet, and I appreciated everything she did and the little touches for my birthday. I will hire her again in a heart beat. I have been on her website to see what I will be ordering next. Oh I forgot she prepared breakfast for us the next morning let me tell you that sausage gravy and biscuits!! Anyway thank you Short Chef and may God continue to work in what you do, talk to you soon.

We actually bought 2 orders of the $159 package, because initially we were expecting like 12 people to feed. We wound up only needing to feed 9 so we had an abundance of leftovers. Each package quoted it would feed 6-8 and I think that is true, and they weren't skimpy. It's a take and bake, so you pick up the day before Thanksgiving (we picked up at Irvington Sahm's) and then you heat up the next day and they give you easy instructions to do so. The food was soooo good and made my husband a Brussels sprouts lover for the first time. Thank you for this affordable and quality Thanksgiving option!

That being said, what was delivered to us was nothing short of delectable! The presentation and flavor of all that went into it was very impressive. The salad with fresh turkey, soft cheese and berries was quite the surprise and a wonderful combination. The fish cakes were delicately breaded and oh so moist, literally a party for our tummies. I can only imagine what else he could bring if you let him loose in an actual kitchen. Find out at City Market or book him for your special occasion!

This husband and wife duo truly are professionals at what they do and I can assure you they treat even the most naive of brides (present company) with respect and a supportive approach. Before contracting with Brad Gates Catering, my fiance and i spoke to several local caterers both preferred and not preferred by our venue, the Indianapolis Art Center. Brad Gates Catering is a preferred vendor for the IAC and came highly recommended by the staff at IAC. From the first email, to pricing, to the contract and payment options, BGC has provided an easy, stress-less and smooth process. Meggin was very responsive and proactive when working with us and our fixed budget. We didn't want to cut quality while cutting cost, and Meggin understood that and was able to put together a menu that not only meets our budgetary needs, but also our tastes. She is on the ball with all the nuances behind planning and executing a wedding reception dinner so she's been a huge help and resource when it comes to managing and making decisions around things like kids menu, buffet set-up and the like. Meggin was able to make adjustments to our proposed menu and has been wonderful with fielding all my endless questions as I navigate through the wedding planning process. I feel confident that our event will go smoothly and that the food will be a huge hit with our guests!

We've had some amazing breakfasts with mini frittatas, sausage stuffed mushrooms, fruit and coffee cake. Everything is clearly freshly made and delicious. The cost is similar to what we were paying for bagels and spreads and this is so much better! We've also had him cater some receptions/socials with assorted small bites, and everything has been amazing! The carrot soufflé filled phyllo cups at our most recent event were absolutely delicious. Set up has always been on time, and Chef Jeff handles everything including clean up at the end. He has been very flexible in working with us to stay within our budget and to meet the needs of our events. He is extremely easy to work with and clearly has a lot of enthusiasm for food and wants customers to enjoy it. In looking over his website he also does home delivery of prepared meals at a very reasonable price. Cold dishes are ready to serve and hot dishes come with cooking/heating instructions. Definitely check out his website if you are planning even a fairly small event!

Brett walked us through the steps of how to make one of his signature cocktails during the online event, and it was so much fun to see all the steps broken down. Alcomy sells several different flavors that I can't wait to try. I had the Malibu Sunset (lemon, orange, raspberry, hibiscus, and rosemary), but you can also get Old Fashioned, Spicy Basil Margarita (umm, YUM), Blue Velvet and Blackberry Smash. The Malibu Sunset mix was perfection with gin, but I could also see it being amazing with vodka. Brett also does mixology classes, which I think sound like a blast. I could see doing something like that on zoom during COVID, but I also can't wait to book an in-person class once social distancing restrictions are eased.

Just got married today with Peter and he was amazing. I can't say enough positive about this…read morecouple. They truly are fantastic people. I probably called Victoria about six times in the past couple weeks just asking questions and clarifying things. Once I got into the office, another couple was getting married and we were quickly taken into the office and before we knew it we were in the ceremony, exchanging rings and down the elevator and into the car and back to the county clerk building. It was a very quick process, but it was not quick without thought and heart in it. Weird heard some of what was said in the wedding before us and it was different than what we were told, and he specifies things to the couple that's in front of them and it was a really cool experience having somebody care so much for so little compensation. All it was was $100 and they went above and beyond. A lot of other places around don't charge less than almost $200 on the lowest and so for them to be $100 less than their competition and to put so much effort into the ceremony it was a lot more than we expected. I didn't expect a ceremony whatsoever so for there to be any type of ceremony, having only spent $100 I was genuinely impressed. It's a very clean office space and there's room for guests which is pretty cool as well. He allowed us to record the event which is really cool and he played up to the camera and it was just a really cool experience and we're so happy to look back on it. The address is 320 North Meridian St. suite number 814. It's on the eighth floor of the Chamber of Commerce building downtown Indianapolis for anybody that may have trouble getting there in the future. We had went to their old location on the circle and quickly realized that it was the wrong location because Google makes it so difficult for people to change the address. Other than that, the most seamless, an easy part of getting married was with Peter and everything in that building. If you're dressed nicely, people will congratulate you and just assume that you're getting married I guess cause we got a lot of congratulations all the way in and all the way up. Make sure to listen to the advice that Peter gives you because it is truly something to listen to from a man who is happily married. I took everything to heart, and I appreciate him taking the time in the energy to put for the wisdom of a married man. All around great experience and although I will not be back, I recommend them to absolutely anyone.
