It's entirely possible we came here 5 weekends in a row! So it's fair to say this is definitely going on the list of favourite brunch places. Consistently: the food is delicious, the coffee is good (they do BOWLS!), the staff are lovely and efficient, the place is big enough that you can usually easily get a table, and there is plenty of street parking around. And it's less than a 10 minute drive from our house. Bonus. They have a range of breakfast & lunch items on the weekend - sweet, savoury, and hearty smoothies or juices - and they are open til 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays, which I like because it means you can come in for a proper lunch instead of just a very late breakfast (sometimes it's just difficult to get out of the house before midday on a Sunday, you know?). They will also try to accommodate any specific dietary requirements, some are marked on the menu but if you can't see it then just ask and they'll work something out if they can. I came here with my mother on one occasion and she was happy, despite her ever-expanding range of food intolerances, so that's quite an achievement. Word of warning though - the Famish'd breakfast (basically the equivalent of a 'big breakfast' anywhere) is GIGANTIC. Order it only if you're prepared to be in a food coma for the rest of the afternoon.

With COVID 19 social distancing they have had to make changes and it is takeaways only - normal hours and menu changed. Sad!!! After an early morning Monday visit to Jacaranda Coffee Lane, I decided to hop on over to Scout,…read moreanother very highly rated breakfast spot in town, for a point of comparison. While Scout was good, it didn't quite compare with Jacaranda. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Even early on a Monday morning Scout was packed, and as I waited maybe fifteen minutes for a table I couldn't help but just be almost overcome with jealousy at the fact that it's so commonplace for so many Aussies to have the ability to just take a leisurely Monday morning breakfast. Anyway, I digress - I was promptly seated after a short wait and from there everyone was wonderful. The food did take a hot minute or fifteen to come out, but it was clear that's because my breakfast sandwich was made to order. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $15.00 AUD got me a pretty good sized Brekky Bagel, and while it was pretty basic, this was still good value. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? This was a good, although as I mentioned relatively basic breakfast bagel sandwich. I wished that the bagel itself had been toasted, and while from there the ingredients were good, the whole thing was just a bit more basic than I had thought it would be. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? I didn't for a second dislike my trip to Scout, but there are simply so many great breakfast spots in Brissy that I can't get as excited about Scout as I can for others. No Star.

Sandwiches start at $6.50 for a simple BLT, most mains like chicken curry and rice or fish and chips are between $11-13, coffees about $3.80. Fairly standard cafe prices. It's a comfortable place to eat, with very funky (if space inefficient) hanging chairs at the front of the store. Coco (the manager) is super friendly, as are the other staff. They used to have the best pork roast sandwiches anywhere I've had, but unfortunately they have taken it off their regular menu because it wasn't popular enough. We still get special orders of it once a week though :). Maybe next time you're in, enquire about it, and if enough people ask for it perhaps Coco will bring it back to the regular menu? :)

Most recent visit was to grab some breakfast. Just got the bacon and eggs. Tasty, and a decent sized serving, I definitely didn't come away hungry, and the waitress on this particular morning was quite lovely. You can sit inside or outside, and I can't help but feel the indoor furniture is just far too large. I guess you'll never be packed in. Unsure about first reviewer's experience; I've only been for breakfast and lunch, but the other evening I was walking past after 6 and they were just closing up. Perhaps they've fixed the no cooking after 2ish.

When I visited they were one of the finalists in the running for Brisbane's best coffee, best barrister and best breakfast so they obviously have been turning a lot of heads. This place seems to be a hit with the little guests too. They have a small table offering loads of pens and colouring in books to entertain the children and there were quite a few families with small children there and is obviously one of those children friendly cafés Mum's and Dad's seek out, without fearing dirty looks from those around them. The coffee really was very smooth..........I am a skinny flat white drinker and it really hit the spot and was just delicious. I was so hungry after the gym I thought I was going to cry as my tummy told me it was going to start to digest itself if I did not eat immediately. I therefore went for "The Revival Beast" offering free range bacon, cassoulet, mushroom, organic poached eggs, triple cooked chips & toasted organic sourdough. Oh yes................my tummy thanked me for this choice. Tasty and was really pleased to be presented with a very generous portion size. So the verdict.......great filling tasty breakfast venue, serving the smoothest coffee I have tasted, that is seriously worth a little trip out to Red Hill to try. Mum's and Dad's feel free to bring the kids here, you will get some seriously good food and once the kids get bored of the usual distractions you give them, there is a table full of new distractions to keep them content whilst you finish you morning revival.

I ventured up Enoggera Terrace on a Monday (yes! These guys are now opening the cafe on a Monday) after hearing they have WiFi. What better way to kick start the working week than with a coffee in their courtyard area. The avo on toast was, frankly, just the delicious icing on the cake. There's about 8 different avocado on toast combos on their menu, I went with Number 3: smoked salmon, feta and avocado. Plum Tucker is casual and cool like the impossibly twee friend we all have. They're on trend but they're aloof about it - they don't need to sing it from the roof top for it to be true. It's a cafe I know I'll come back to again and enjoy feeling like I'm away from the bustle of the outside world while squirreled away in this former cottage.
