Very busy coffee/cafe spot, but not a long wait for coffee. If you want to sit down you might have to wait 20 min + for a table. Aesthetically pretty inside. We never tried any of the food but the coffee was good!

I'm not sure how many breakfast sandwiches I've had in my life, but it's easily close to a thousand if not higher. That being the case, I was pretty sure that I'd never again be surprised by a breakfast sandwich, but I was very wrong the second I walked into Coffee Anthology. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? I like to think I do some pretty serious food research before coming to a new city, and that research lead me to bookmark Coffee Anthology. That research was quickly confirmed upon walking up to Coffee Anthology and seeing a line of what was easily fifteen people just for the takeaway coffee stand: impressive. Fortunately I had some time to kill, so I took up the opportunity to be seated right away and from there what was a stellar breakfast came out quickly. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $17.00 AUD got me a good sized breakfast sandwich with an absolutely heaping portion of bacon on the side, which was good value. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? This was a genuinely stellar breakfast sandwich. So get this - I don't even like eggs benedict dishes. I don't love hollandaise sauce, but for whatever reason this sandwich really called to me, and I'm glad I gave in. The 63 degree eggs were brilliant and the hollandaise sauce was flavorful and lapped up by the huge croissant. The bacon was an added bonus and while I'm typically not a big bacon person the saltiness brought the whole thing into high gear. Brilliant. Two Stars. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? I'll be thinking about this breakfast sandwich for months to come. Star.

This place is hopping. Came here for breakfast around 8:30am and the place was packed. To me this is a good sign. They have a street side barista service with a variety of coffee offerings. The line there was big but moves quickly. Two main flavour profiles for the coffees - chocolaty or fruity. We ordered two long black macchiatos on the chocolate side. Wow amazing taste and a strong caffeine hit to boot. Let's talk about the food. I have had hundreds of versions of eggs benny but these ones have to be in the top 3. We ordered the croissant Benny, mine with crispy pork belly and my wife's the avocado. The 63 degree eggs with almond salt crumble made these really stand out. All the ingredients are locally sourced and super fresh. This place is a must try!

Have you ever seen a barista so focused on his art that he'll extract an espresso shot only to throw it down the sink? Chances are if you haven't yet you'll see just this type of barista in his natural habitat in Coffee Anthology. In the deep South of the CBD (read: the Botanic Gardens end of the city), Coffee Anthology is a well-fit out cafe with a little indoor bar-style seating and outdoor tables and chairs for the meetings I imagine surrounding office workers have as they sip their lattes. That said, space inside is tight and during the 2 rush periods I witnessed, it gets a little cozy. Still, it moves at lightening speed. They're bringing to Brisbane a rotation of reputable Melbourne roasts. When I stopped by this morning, for example, they had bags of Small Batch's Candyman blend available. There's also 7 Seeds, Dukes and Padre. If you're any kind of serious coffee drinker, these names are a warm hug to your tastebuds and sensibility. The design of the cafe isn't new - subway tiles, exposed iron pipes and exposed shelves. Staff are rotating constantly around tables to top up your glasses of water - which is sparkling from the tap. But you're here for the coffee. Being a 30-degree day I opted for their Cold Drip and as a regular black coffee drinker this was flawless. Gentle and fruity - it was worth all four dollars and then some. From the meals being served around me it looks like they offer a simple and standard cafe menu including avo on toast and muffins of the day. With free WiFi available this might just be my new coffice.

As a tourist this place was great for breakfast. Unfortunately it had just switched to Lunch menus... but the lunches were great!

These guys take customer service to the next level. Handing you a glass of nice cold water or soda water when you order, or if you are waiting in line they will bring it out to you. When your takeaway coffee is ready they bring out to you rather than just yelling out names from behind the counter. Starting off the work day with a genuinely friendly greeting and fantastic coffee has been an absolute pleasure. They have wraps, sandwiches, muffins etc. in the display case, and more on the sit down menu, but I would love it if they offered some grab-and-go grain-free takeaway breakfast options like yoghurt or chia pots for when I'm on the run.

Great coffee. amazing friendly service. consistent. i even had a complimentary espresso with my flat white..just to compare. also on my first visit i was given a free coffee with my purchase to help me decide which i preferred. this is how a business should be run! As you are heading down Albert towards the Botanic Gardens turn last right .

I found this place haphazardly and was thoroughly impressed. Staff were generally really friendly. In terms of a hot soy latte they nailed it. Great temperature and made so well. Really made my first morning in brisbane. I also ordered the avocado on toast. The breakfast was tasty and made well. It wasn't something out of the ordinary but the avocado and eggs were cooked extremely well. It also came with confit tomatoes and pesto (hate tomatoes but love pesto!).

Wow - a new find in my work district. I can say my first cafe latte, which by the way was on the house, was to my taste. I was thrilled to see they serverd my latte in a glass which doesn't happen so often these days. Staff were friendly and excited as you would be at the beginning of a new adventure! Look like they have some fresh baked goods on offer and a number of smash and grab lunch options. Watch this space for more as I test them out over the next few weeks! I am adding this bit now I am a regular - I have just upraded from 4 to 5 as Coffee Anthology has never failed to meet my expectations of a regular coffee haunt. Even if you don't work in this area of the CBD I would recommend a walk out of your way to give it a try.

Pricy for a coffee shop , but acceptable for a breakfast place. Does NOT have WiFi. Scramble egg was good, for $16.

Had reminded the staff twice about not receiving my drink. After waiting half an hour and everyone at my table having finished their own drink and food, I noticed my drink sitting at the bar. Waited five minutes and watching a wait staff glance at the receipt and decide to take another drink across the other side of the bar. Having waited long enough, and as a young woman being concerned about my drink sitting there unattended with other patrons standing around it I went and grabbed it. I checked the receipt and confirmed it was mine before taking it. When I sat down, the security guy literally tried to wrestle my drink out of my hand, putting his dirty fingers all around the rim. The bar tender came over and started yelling at me. I told them that the receipt showed it was my drink and I had waited so long for it. They responded that they knew it was my drink - then why are you trying to take it off me? I told them my concern about wait time and they just laughed at me and told me that that's just how things are and that I can't just go and grab my own drink. Utter rubbish I've been to many bars and restaurants in Brisbane and have never received such slow and disrespectful service. We had kids sitting at the table and were there for a birthday. To have two fully grown men stand over me, trying to intimidate and belittle me is just sickening. Complained to management and no apology given. They had the audacity to complain about my partner's tone, despite him being calm and much more respectful than the treatment they were giving us. As to the food, it's just a glorified pub. I recommend going elsewhere such as Massimo or Ola. You will receive quality food and staff who actually appreciate your business.

She loved it! The bartender was great and nervous about creating a drink for me. We went with a pineapple chili vodka with a touch of mint. Yum! It needs some fine tuning but the foundation is set. We were having a great time and as if beer to vodka wasn't enough, we moved right along to tequila! Yes, some quality tequila and verdita. I'm a huge fan and they explained to us how quality tequila is for sipping. We didn't want to leave but the time had come. Thankfully, I know I'll be coming back very soon. Thanks for a great Introduction.

Bit hard to get up on but I loved the table and it was comfortable once I was finally seated properly lol. Service was good but I saw the waitress' friendly face change a bit when I asked to cancel my iced latte and change it to a hot soy latte and my friend asked to have his iced latte changed to iced soy latte. The order hasn't even been fully confirmed yet and the paper wasn't given to the chef so I don't know why it would be a problem. But anyways she put on a smile, said thanks and hurried away. Few minutes later, another girl came to take our food orders and I asked for eggs benedict and if I could have extra hollandaise sauce with it. She said no problem and went off with our orders. Food came about 15 mins later, I liked it. But the poached eggs were undercooked. It was literally leaking water onto the sourdough toast. And another thing, I just think, personally, that there should be two slices of toast if it's thinly sliced. My own preference perhaps? So we finished our meals and had to go settle the bill in person at the counter as they don't print out bills (?). Fair enough but if we want to look at the bill first before going up there to pay and possibly holding up the line if we're looking at the charges more closely, they don't give you that chance. What are we supposed to do if there's a group and with multiple orders? Stand there checking over the bill and have people wait behind us for their turn? Anyways, it turns out the extra hollandaise I asked for in my benedict? Well, they charged me $3 for it. A side blob of hollandaise for $3??! Firstly, the waitress did NOT tell me there was an extra charge and secondly, again with the argument that you have to settle the bill on the spot which doesn't give you much time to look over the charges till after you've paid for it. So, overall, it was a beautiful venue with wonderful views of the water, situated near the story bridge. Food was good. Service was average.
