Well done change from usual eggs benedict, spinach and mushroom eggs benedict. Tastes as good as it looks and my service was good too.

Satisfying morning, well I liked Perks Kitchen and I had good service too not that they were to busy. Waitress remembered my order didn't wait long. Eggs benedict not swimming in hollandaise one of the better that I've had.

Refurbished!!! Perks Deli Cafe at Westfield Garden City is now Perks Kitchen. I went there for breakfast early Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised. The grilled haloumi breakfast was delicious as was the coffee!! Staff were friendly and helpful and I am always impressed by Waiters & Waitress who remember your order without having to write it down. I would definitely go there again over the likes of Toscanis & Pancake Manor!

I will start with the positives. The food was excellent. What you expect from a good quality pub…read moremenu. We had not eaten at the HP for quite some time, and were quite impressed with the quality of the food. The chef/s did a great job. Now the negatives. I decided to book because we wanted to get in early so as to be home early. I booked a table for 6pm. When we arrived the place was almost full. But that was ok because I had booked. We stood in the middle of the bistro waiting to be directed to our table, but there was nobody around. A young waiter eventually came to us and I told him we had a booked for 3. He eventually found our booking, but the table had been taken by somebody else. We eventually were shoved into the very far corner, which did have a reserve sign on it, so we must have got someone else's reserved table. We then ordered our meals and a round of drinks through the app. It took so long to get our drinks, so we went to the bar and got them ourselves. The food took almost a hour to arrive. There were not enough staff. Not enough waiters. Not enough bar staff. Not enough kitchen staff. The whole idea of booking was to get in early and get home early. I visited the HP about a month of so ago with a group of workmates. We sat in the bistro bar area. The bar service was extremely slow that night also. There was one lady whose English was very poor and a young lad who said it was his first night. Patrons were waiting a long time that night and were getting quite agitated. That night I put it down to teething problems with the new reno. But a month and a half later ... and staff issues are still apparent.

Beijing Roast Duck serves a modern approach to Beijing roast duck. It's still similar enough to the…read moretraditional way, the main exception is when they carve the duck, they do it so the pieces each contain some meat too, instead of just the skin. It's awesome because it makes for a lot more wraps! If you've never tried Beijing Roast Duck, it's a duck that has been specially roasted to get the skin super crispy. You then get to roll the crispy duck skin in a wonton wrapper (or something like that) with sauce and green onions...so yummy. At Beijing Roast Duck you can either choose to have the second course (soup made from the duck bones) there, which they'll prepare for you, or you can wrap up your duck bones an take them home to make your own soup. The duck was really tasty, and so were the side dishes we ordered to go with it, the fried veggies and sizzling beef plate. The service was really slow and inefficient, but I think out server might have been new, because she seemed really really confused, resulting in us having to ask for everything twice, plus send back wrong items once or twice. Hopefully it's not always like that, but even with slow service, I think it's a tasty meal best eaten with good company. The restaurant is a bit in the small side so reservations are recommended.

I don't understand why they take booking then. Also it is cash only.

I took a risk and planned a surprise birthday breakfast at Buzz without having been there before…read more But I needed a place on the West side to accommodate the available timeframe for some of the guests, and the menu on Buzz's website had me at "ricotta pancakes with candied bacon ice cream". I called ahead, and the lovely phone-answerer recommended making a reservation for the weekends, as they do get quite busy. We booked for 8:30 on a Saturday, and while it wasn't overly full when we arrived, a steady crowd did go through in our time there. The space is breezy and open, and our friends were able to wheel their pram up next to the table. The staff were all so kind and helpful. Our server was happy to fill a cup with hot water to warm a bottle, and they really put the mum at ease. There were several other families with children in high chairs, and it's nice to know there's a place I can bring my mum friends. Even though I had spent days looking over the menu, I panicked upon ordering, because there really were so many things I wanted to try. I opted for the build-your-own breakfast plate. I was a little disappointed with the corn fritters I chose, but having lived in the American south, I have really high fritter standards. I did get a nibble of that bacon ice cream, and I know what I'm ordering next time! The portion sizes are quite large, and it really felt like good value for money. We weren't entirely sure where to park, because it is in the ground level of some units, but there is a nearby parking lot for visitor parking with a short sidewalk around to the restaurant. There may be another lot closer, but it looks under construction at the time of this writing.

I'll admit my first positive remark is the cheeky waitress that gave me a good laugh. Food portions we're excellent at a decent price. Only negative was the selection of lunchtime menu, but for someone that responds "food" when asked what he wants to eat, I'll mark this as a positive from my view. Highly recommended!
