During the pandemic, Kaiser therapists would no who's ALOT and not reschedule. So I demanded to be referred outside at their cost. They sent us to Lifestance with a therapist that no showed. Then sent us to Grow Therapy to a rude, unprofessional therapist that disliked our professional feedback so much, they dissappeared kn my teen & left her hanging to figure out finding a new therapist on her own. We found a 2nd Grow Therapy therapist rhrough Kaiser and she was decent. Then suddenky cancelled all future appts with NO EXPLANATION, NO TERMINATION SESSIONS, after treating my teen who had abandonment issues. 2 Failed therapists. When I filed a firmal complaint, they did NOTHING. I told Kaiser & they alsi did nothing. Si we are back with Kaiser begging for appts every 3 weeks instead of 6 weeks. Patients should be able to work with a therapist weekly if they feel the need. I guess Kaiser must learn theough lawsuit because it is a machine that does not care about humans. Bu I happily attribute the 1 star for amazing Dr. Flores who saw my kid for about 2 yr, 7 yr ago; Cesar Chavez who I saw about 2 yr, 7r ago; & Ms. Washington (Mgr) who helped me find a new agency after Lifestance, then Grow Therapy failed my kid THREE TIMES. Kaiser, stop depending on group sessions, medications, & 8 appts per yr to get people who are suffering with day to day functioning, to actually do well. The famous Kaiser of the ACES study is dead. But I had a few concerns that I did not appreciate about being under her care. She did not take my need for a female doctor seriously. Most practitioners don't but I think it's important to not assume why someone may be uncomfortable with an opposite gender doctor. She failed to note that my daughter was occiput posterior positioned despite the multiple and I mean MULTIPLE 3D ultrasounds. My daughter was a large baby as well. I had concerns about vaginal delivery and Dr. Lennon dismissed my concerns and told me to stop discussing my concerns with other moms. Toward the end of my pregnancy I developed preeclampsia and Dr. Lennon decided it was time to induce the pregnancy. While in the hospital, multiple drs asked why I am attempting a natural delivery given my lab tests and size of my daughter. I advised it was important to Dr. Lennon. After 3 days of this nonsense, I am quite sure that the other drs on call convinced my rather new dr to perform a c-section. Dr. Lennon was not pleased with this outcome and told me she couldn't call it a failed c-section since we didn't try it again but agreed to perform the c-section if that is what I wanted. She tested me for HIV without my consent. She also put in my medical chart that I had a history of MRSA which I told her I did not. She was unable to explain any of the symptoms I was experiencing while pregnant and often needed to confer with more seasoned OBGYNs. I was honest about my history with depression and anxiety and she nearly refused to fill out intermittent leave paperwork for my employer unless I went under the care of a psychiatrist and took SSRIs. Once baby was born she said she was calling a social worker to ensure I wasn't a danger to myself or my baby. Because of my experiences with Dr. Lennon I will be very careful before disclosing my prior mental history ever again. She is no longer at SEBMF and has moved on to a Sutter location in Oakland. I am hoping she has grown in her career and future patients will need to undergo this kind of treatment.

I have been suffering from an irrational fear of public speaking for as long as I can remember. I finally got angry with the situation and realized that I needed some help. Not knowing anything about hypnotherapy, I decided to give it a try and found Paz on Yelp. I was attracted to her offer of a "30-day fix" because I didn't want ongoing therapy for years and years with no end in sight. Within one hour (seriously), she was able to get to the root of the problem - the moment when the first "domino" fell and led me down the path to self-doubt and insecurity. After the initial session, Paz had me listen to a custom-made audio recording every morning after waking and every night before going to sleep. 30 days later, I was in a completely different headspace. Hypnosis wasn't what I thought it was based on tv and the movies, it's far more subtle....but it worked. I was able to deliver the speech. And while I was a little apprehensive, there were no feelings of dread or nausea. My voice held steady, I could breathe easily, and I could deliver the message. Due to the reviews, I didn't expect much... but every time, I was very happy with the service here. I've been here for my baby's general appointments with his pediatrician, for his physical therapy, and also for my broken foot and emergency care, and every time, I am quite impressed with the overall service. The staff has been nothing short of excellent, from the front desk to the nurses. Everyone is welcoming, super friendly, and they truly seem to care about making your experience as smooth as possible. Same with the doctors! So far, every doctor I've seen have been professional, knowledgeable, and thorough in answering my questions, which made me feel more at ease every time I came in. Additionally, I was actually really impressed at how quickly they answered my emails compared to other Kaisers that I have been to. I would send an email today and would most likely get a reply the following day. Usually, I am used to getting a reply after 2-3 business days. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hospital. In addition, after being stereotyped, I still stayed calm and proceeded like normal with the appointment; however, she cuts you off mid sentence and assumes what you are going to say and even when trying to correct her, she still doesn't listen. Although I did not have a great first experience with her, i gave her the benefit of doubt and I decided to proceed to schedule a second appointment with her which was scheduled at 5:45 when I specifically told her I don't arrive home till 6:45 after work. This caused me to miss my appointment due to the timing mixup. Since I missed my appointment, I messaged her the same day at 6:45 taking full accountability and apologizing by stating that I mixed the times up and if I could reschedule on another day when I would be home on time for the appointment. However, it has been a whole week and I still have not received a response. I took the initiative to make an appointment myself again on Zocdoc, but she has ignored it and did not send me any confirmation or zoom link. Not responding to a patient and declining an appointment without any reason given is clear negligence. As someone who works in the medical field, it upsets me that there are still racist, incompetent, and negligent individuals that work in the mental health field where it should be a safe space. She is a part of the problem of why patients hesitant to receive help for their mental health due to mistreatment from providers like her. Save yourself the mistreatment and find a better mental health provider who actually will care for you and your well being.
