Thank god for Xplr Nashville! I saw his review of this spot and went the same day. I almost passed it looking for a stand alone restaurant but it is in the same building as the gas station. When you walk in, you order to the right, next to the drink cooler. They have a smallish seating area with a bar, plenty of space for a sandwich shop, and a big screen tv that was showing a Back to the Future movie. We ordered: - BLT (Thursday it is the Thursday special and comes with fries and a drink for $12) - Cheesesteak (obviously) with onions, with cheese wiz as the Lord intended - Mozzarella Jawns - I've never heard of that before but they're a very wide, sorta flatish cheese stick. I think they are named after an app from Bar Jawn in Manayunk (a Philadelphia neighborhood). Took it to go. It comes with house made chips and I ate those most of the way home. I'm normally not a fan of house made kettle style chips but these were great! Too salty for my husband but just right for me so your mileage may vary. The hot out of the fryer mozzarella and fries did not fare well on the 12 minute drive home but when I got to the house I popped them in the air fryer and they crisped back up to perfection. My husband had the BLT and he said it was delicious. The bacon was a little more crisp than he does it for himself but that's a personal preference thing. The tomatoes and lettuce were very fresh. As a BLT aficionado, he was a fan. The real star here was the cheesesteak. My husband said "this is better than the cheesesteaks I've had in Philadelphia" and he was not wrong. The meat was cooked perfectly, chopped and tender. Seasoned but not so much that the onions couldn't shine. Onions were browned and lightly softened, not soggy. The bread was delicious, soft and soaked in their homemade cheese wiz. Their cheese wiz? A national treasure. If I could order it by the tub I would and I'd never struggle to get my kids to eat their veggies again. It's that good. The whole thing was a 12/10. I have pictures but they're blurry because I couldn't sit the sandwich down long enough to photograph it so I'll rely on others for that. TL;DR - Go get a cheesesteak. read more

It would be unfair to describe this sandwich as being close to or nearly like a Philly Cheesesteak. THIS IS A PHILLY CHEESESTEAK The Cheesesteak's meat was cut and sliced by the owner. A real deal hoagie roll that does not get soggy but does soak up the juices. I had Provolone but Whiz or sharp cheddar is available (if you must) Totally delicious and satisfying. Took me back to my youth on the South Side Of Philadelphia. The Italian Hoagie is made with real Italian meats - Hot cap, mortadella, salami and pepperoni. The potato chips are cut and fried in tallow by the owner. Same with the shoe string fries. They are worth the trip all by themselves. Tallow....yum. If you eat healthier, there is a chicken salad served as a sandwich or salad that is amazing. The chicken is brined for two days then roasted in-house. Only a Chef/owner who loves what he does would go to that trouble. Huge portions on every item we ordered. I mean HUGE - come hungry to Milestone, leave full. The service was friendly and helpful. There's no place like home. Being from the Philly area, a good Philly cheesesteak is hard to get. When you walk in, it feels welcoming in and reminds you of that back home in Philly feeling. The place is tight, can imagine when busy it might be hectic but this might be the best hidden gem that might not be hidden soon. The cheesesteak had the Philly feeling from the seasoning to the meat to the Wit or WITOUT. The chips? delicious. The pretzels? if you know, you know. Another in car review coming up. This was my second time at Milestone Craft Deli. I will start by saying Mount Juliet lacks original family/individual owned restaurants so I welcome any and all to the city. That being said it's review time. So food wise, before I ended up getting a corned beef sandwich and thought it was decent. Today I walked in and asked "if you had to get one thing on the menu that's what I want." I was directed to the Testa Calda. Chicken cutlet with hot honey, basil pesto, arugula, roasted red pepper and fresh mootz. I think the sandwich was good... But with a few minor additions I think it could be great. The sandwich was somewhat plain, I'm not sure how, but there wasn't a real good burst of flavor from any of the ingredients. That doesn't make it a bad sandwich do not think that, but it could be something REALLY special. I think it lacked acidity, a hot pepper jelly, tomatoe, or maybe even pickled *anything* really would have added to the flavors going on in the sandwich. I didn't get much spicy or hot from the hot honey drizzle which I also think would've added something extra to the sandwich. The mootz was and arugula were great, definitely fresh. The house chips were good and I really enjoyed them. I will be back to try the Italian next time I'm in the area. Interior is nice, as you would expect from a deli counter. Hubs and I went on a date to try Milestone Craft Deli out on a Sat afternoon for a very early dinner. We were the only ones in there, which was nice! We received excellent service from a very friendly woman (whom I didn't catch her name unfortunately). She asked us if we'd been in before and we said no, this was our first time. The hubs was having trouble reading the menu so she brought out a menu with a larger font making it much easier for him to read. It was VERY warm in there and they had fans blowing. I'm not sure if the AC was out? but we should've ordered to go as the hubs was sweating. Hubs ordered the Pizza steak sub, minus the pepperoni and banana peppers and the disco fries minus the cheeses. I ordered the cheesesteak hoagie wit onions and provolone and a basket of fries. The fries came out first then the sandwiches with homemade chips. (We didn't realize the sandwiches also came with chips.) I'm guessing our server didn't hear me say hoagie as my sandwich came out with just meat, cheese and onions. I asked for a side of mayo and she apologized, it was fine. Everything was very tasty and it was a lot more food for us than we thought it would be and we each had 1/2 of our sandwiches and all of the chips still left and took them home. Our server brought us out a chocolate chip cookie for being first timers. It was warm and oh so yummy! It was a wee bit pricey and we weren't asked nor told that we could substitute fries for the chips for a small up-charge, which I found out after looking at their on-line menu after our visit. Definitely give them a try, you won't be disappointed! We know for next time to split a sandwich and that substituting fries for the chips appears to be an option. read more

I ordered on uber eats so I can't comment on the service, ambiance, or parking BUT all the food was delicious. And I would definitely order again. I got the Italian sub that was fresh and had a great meat to toppings and bread portion. The dressing was flavorful without overpowering the sandwich. The vodka sauce rigatoni was so good. It had a nice thick sauce that wasn't drowning the pasta. They including the perfect amount of herbs. It had a good taste without being too heavy. The pasta was cooked perfectly. I got the south street fries just bc I've never seen that combo before. They added banana peppers on top which was a surprise and made the dish uh let's see perfect. I can't believe I have been eating naked fries all my life. LOL #3. The chicken parm was perfectly cooked, juicy, had just been prepped not 15 mins before, so fresh, the bread was great too! Big portion, my husband and I shared for lunch. I really liked the homemade chips as well. #4. Chef Ryan was so nice, truly understands the importance of customer service as he walked each table to greet his patrons (and gave us a treat to try ;)) #5. I love this lowkey gem in MJ- don't expect fancy, this is a no frills deli but like in a super cool way like a "I know about this awesome place connected to a gas station with a Chef who went to culinary school and is slinging boardwalk fries and cheesesteaks that taste better than Philly!" kinda way.... It reminds me of the best restaurant in Honolulu, which happened to be in a bowling alley. Ups the cool factor. The only thing is be cautious if you want cheese on the fries that come with your burger be specific or you get the basket of them for 10$ on top of the ones with your burger . None of those chewy bits that leave you wondering what you just ate. The flavor of the steak and cheese was fantastic (bread is bit softer on this one). The Italian was good and fresh (bread is bit harder on this one) and the flavors were perfect. The fries are just the right size for a solid fry (not crinkle cut). And the disco fries- come on. This place is a small deli attached to a gas station. It has about ten tables and four counter chairs. I've read the great reviews and have seen the photos of the food. Today was our first visit for lunch. We ordered the daily special, BLT COMBO. Sandwich fries and a drink. And a mushroom steak sandwich with home made chips and a drink. When the food was brought to our table we were very pleased with the food. My with said her BLT was great and my steak sandwich and homemade chips were so delicious, and tasty. The sub bread for my steak sandwich was soft and super fresh. We were also very pleased that the food was seasoned just right. We gave up salt in our diet years ago and the homemade chips were seasoned very lightly. The steak was also a high quality meat. I complimented the owner on the steak sandwich and he says he trims the meat in house of all excess. The BLT WAS SPOT ON! It was on a sandwich bread nicely layered with bacon and topped with two sliced crisp pickles. The pickles were fresh and crisp. Almost homemade. The owner says he orders them from a Chicago company. All in all this place knocked it out of the park on our first visit. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items. FYI they also have daily specials! read more

We walked into a rush at the deli, but were greeted right away by the staff. The place is not fancy, but they have some fun pics on the walls. We were asked if wed like to dine in or take out, and since we wanted to dine in, we were told we could sit where there was room and someone would be right with us. We were greeted by a very pleasant lady that told us what she would I recommend as the best sandwiches, so we ordered the Italian as a half sandwich and the Philly Cheesesteak with all the extras! The Italian was so good that I forgot to take a picture lol! The meat combination was so good and we could taste all of them along with the Italian dressing, perfection! And the Philly Cheesesteak was excellent too, will definitely come back to order some other entrees. We were also greeted by the owner to ask how we liked it and we were able to have a nice conversation with him about his restaurant and his background in the culinary arts. Unfortunately before I thought to take a picture my food was halfway gone. That was the best Philly I've ever had in my life! I would pass a 1,000 Jersey Mikes or any other place that sell Philly sandwiches just to go here. The staff was so kind, and I really appreciated their customer service. I ordered the hot Philly which came with a long pepper, and spicy aioli. The pepper added a nice touch and wasn't too overpowering. Milestone craft deli is a hidden gem. It is next to a shell gas station and the food, service, and ambiance all checked out! I went here with nine adults and four children and the waiter was able to keep all of our orders separate and the meals came out quickly. It's pretty new so I'll give it that. When I went, we had never been before and so you order when you walk in and then I guess you take a seat. A lot of the table tables already had silverware on them and we weren't sure if we're supposed to sit there or if somebody had put it there to hold their table, but we didn't really see anyone else in the restaurant other than people standing around waiting for their food (takeout) So we ended up just grabbing a random table and most of them were all dirty. Nobody was cleaning the tables. I feel like if you're gonna pay that much for food they should be a clean establishment. I believe the owners were sitting right there and not a single one of them. We're trying to offer Help or give us advice on what to do. 1 lady was sitting at the bar working on her laptop, and I think the male owner came out from the kitchen and he was eating a meal with her and she had looked over and smiled at us but never said anything I'm assuming they worked there or owns the place but you would think they would go above and beyond to try to assist new customers or tell someone to bust the tables. Sandwich was good ... the tirimisu was too sweet and very messy I would not get it again. My hands were all blackened after handling it. Chips were stale, fries were meh... Rueben was really good. Two Reuben's and two desserts and two drinks cost $74 Not worth the price for a deli by a gas station. I would pay that if the food was excellent and it was clean. I would not be back but I recommend anyone try for yourself or maybe get take out like most people may do... I gave them two stars bc the sandwich was very good read more

First time here and definitely will not be the last time! My only regret is that I didn't know about this place sooner! Everything is super fresh and delicious. The menu is so perfect that everyone can find something they'll like whether they want a sandwich, a burger, pasta, or a salad. My husband got the Italian Hoagie and said it reminded him of something he could get when he lived in Pennsylvania. I got the open faced roast beef sandwich, it was the best thing ever.
