We tried this place for lunch. I ordered The Club. I can say it was unique when comparing it to any other one I've ever had. I expected it to have the ingredients layered on top of each other but what I got is best described as it was like a chicken salad, with everything ground, or mixed, together. Stopping through Gallatin and found this great sandwich place. Attracted to try by reading the reviews and the menu. Those who know me know that I obsess over panini! They make fantastic paninis. I tried the muffuletta (as depicted).. The flavors were outstanding. I really enjoyed the contrast of the salami and black olives. After we ordered, the sandwiches were prepared swiftly. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. I really enjoyed the design on the inside given the age of the buildings on the square in Gallatin. Note the art depicted. EVERYTHING is fresh, the pressed sandwiches are incredible, the salads are made to order and I think all of the dressings are house made. Finally a deli with vegetarian options that are actually filling and tasty! They had 2 sandwiches that were vegetarian and even had tofu as an option to add to sandwiches or salads. Really solid sandwich! I had no idea did place existed and came around noon on a Tuesday. This place is small so be warned! If you're going with a group go ahead and skip this place. Second time we called in for a take out order since moving to Gallatin. First time the phone gets answered and then they leave it on the table while they take care of customers and never come back. When my son arrives to order food they are out of most items on the menu at 12:30 PM. Really? Takes an hour to fill a take out order for 5 people. Just sandwiches. Second time I call in to place an order and after a brief wait on the phone the girl takes my order. She tells me 15 minutes for pick up. I head to the restaurant and arrive in about 12 minutes. Ask for my order and .... it hasn't even been made. Takes another 15 minutes to make the order. No apology, no sense of urgency just latte da.. terrible service good thing the food is decent because this place couldn't survive on its service level. Never again! read more

We have this thing at work we like to call "The List." It's basically all of the restaurants in town that we no longer go to lunch due to time or service issues. Today, Lime Deli made "The List." We read the Yelp reviews and took into consideration this place may take longer than usual to get a sandwich, so we called ahead with intentions to take it to-go. We were told it would be ready in 10 minutes. We arrived about 5 minutes after we called, paid and sat down to wait for our food, anticipating that it would be ready shortly. Well, 25 minutes later, our order was finally ready. Half hour to make two sandwiches? And it wasn't even busy inside? That's ridiculous. The lunch hour is only an HOUR. For a lunch place to survive, especially in a town where lunch places are few and far between, lunch needs to be served promptly. As far as the food goes, mine was mediocre (The Eggplant Sandwich). It was very messy, and surely would've been better eaten immediately, but sometimes you can't help a time constraint and have to do takeout. The price for a sandwich was about $7, not bad, but it didn't come with any sides. Once you tack on drinks and chips, it was $11+. I did see a delicious, huge salad being served. Maybe if this place ever gets a second chance, that's what I'd try. read more

This place was tasty! The server was extremely friendly, too! I ordered the Southern Cordon Bleu. It was very good. You don't get a side item, and my first thought as I glanced down at my lonely sandwich was, "where are my fries, side salad, or chips?" but it turned out that I didn't need a side. The sandwich was more than enough. I think that if my husband would have been there, the amount of food, wouldn't have been sufficient. He may have needed to order a side. That is why I rated it four stars. Some people may feel that for close to $7.00 you should get both a full belly, and plate. They do offer a kids menu, which is great, and only $3.50 per child. I think this place has great potential but there were a few things that just made me think, "meh, I can do better." Pros: sandwich was good, great location, able to eat outside. Cons: Food served on wax paper which is on a lunch tray. Feels like they don't want to spend money on actual plates. Place smelled very bleachy. Went to bathroom and floor was very soft and lumpy (like structural issue lumpy). Just looking around the inside of this deli, it seems like the owners invested a lot of money into the aesthetics, but not having a real plate was just.....weird. And if you've ever been in a place that smells like dirty bleach, it's just not pleasant. Unfortunately, these are kind of deal-breakers for me. Let me just start out by saying, the only reason I'm giving this place one star is in order to give a review. My co-workers and I went here for lunch, and the customer service was the WORST part. She was rude, didn't seem to care if she got our order right or not, and when one of my co-workers told her that her card would have to be entered in manually because they did not have a chip reader, the lady said to my co-worker "I don't have time for this right now." Then she proceeds to aggravatingly enter in the card number. So let's skip to the part where it takes 20 minutes to get our sandwiches/salads, aside from the fact that barely anyone is waiting on food. I receive my sandwich that wasn't with the side I ordered. She proceeds to tell me she will bring it out. I try a small bite of the sandwich, and it was not what I anticipated at all. The meat was room temperature, and definitely not "fried". After waiting for 10 minutes for her to come back with my side, I approached the counter to ask if I could get my side and trade the sandwich for a different one. When I asked if I could have my side, she yelled "I'll bring it to you!" When I asked to trade the sandwich for something different, she told me "You order the fried bologna! Yes?! We don't do exchanges." This is the first place I've ever heard of not being able to exchange food if it's not to your liking. Having paid $10 for a sandwich, side and can drink, that leaves me beyond irritated. It was not because of refusal to exchange, but the fact that every time I or anyone else spoke with her, she was rude. With that being said, my co-workers have said they've gone there numerous times and she's always rude. So if you're looking for mediocre food, and terrible customer service, this is your place! read more

I love the Lime Deli. I eat here a lot for lunch. The Pimento Salad and Pimento Sandwich are my favorites. I love that it's freshly made. It's definitely not something you can buy at the grocery store. Anyway, the only cons is that because it is very much owner operated is that the service is slow. It's usually the owner and 1 other person working and at the lunch rush it's all they can do to keep up with the pace. It's also a little bit more expensive than I would like but I do treat myself every once and a while. Overall, I do recommend it highly! Just try to avoid it from 12-1! read more
