I hadn't had any massage since my shoulder surgery a year ago. He was extremely attentive to my concerns about that area, but once he was working on that shoulder, I wasn't even paying attention to the fact that it was my bad one. He was awesome to talk to throughout the massage - I really hate it when the massage therapist doesn't talk to you at all...I know not everyone does, but I personally like talking during it. I was completely comfortable with him from the beginning, which is so important. I honestly liked the setting - I went there in the evening, and belly dance classes were in full swing, it gave it a fun feel. When I can afford another massage, I will definitely be going back to him. I won't even consider trying a new place.

We started the massage and I told her I had pain on the one side of my body. I coach gymnastics part time and this catered to that issue. She focused on an area lower than that side the whole time and I kept reminding her my pain was higher. Also during my massage we were having basic conversation. When I told her where I was from she started talking about politics and abortion in that area. Little did she know I work as a pro life advocate. Very unpleasant and not relaxing for me. After I told her to not talk about that I just wanted to relax she got real quiet like she knew she messed up. Overall would not go back again.

Nick suggested several Thursday and Friday late afternoon appointments, and was so annoyed that I needed to plan in advance because I don't have a flexible schedule that he just told me he wouldn't take me as a client. I also posted this review on google, and the owner immediately responded with some nonsense about how they're very busy and don't have time to return messages, so I guess I'm lucky they even bothered to try to fit me in to their very full schedule. Clearly they don't need new clients, so don't bother trying to schedule with them. Edit: They're so busy that they can't schedule an appointment with me in the next few weeks on a Tuesday or Wednesday, but they mysteriously have responded to both of my negative reviews with a weird grammatically incorrect response almost immediately following my post (see below). Customer service: Therapist knew I had shoulder pain but left me stranded without a massage; yelled at me for inquiring about why he missed our appointment; blamed me for not showing up to an appointment he rescheduled without my knowlesge; refused refund; and hung up on me. Deceptive business practices: Therapist prematurely redeemed Groupon voucher the day before appointment; changed appointment time without authorization; and refused refund. MY EXPERIENCE I had some shoulder pain so I purchased a therapeutic massage for this business through Groupon. The first scheduling phone call to Corrective Therapy on 7/31/17 was pleasant. Although they were booked, they squeezed me in for a 7:40 pm massage with Nicolas Ovel for 8/2/17. They asked for an email or phone number and my Groupon voucher number. I was warned the appointment might start closer to 8 pm since they were tightly booked that day. I arrived at 7:40 pm and patiently waited in their reception area. At 8 pm, I went to knock on therapist's door without answer. At 8:10 pm, I called the therapist and got his voicemail. I left a message asking why he missed our appointment and inquiring about rescheduling. The therapist called me back about 10 minutes later saying the appointment was moved to 7:15 pm and he left since I wasn't there. I questioned how a change was made without my authorization. Nicolas said he sent a text message and called 3x but my phone just rang out. I told him he must have written down the wrong phone number because I have a VM on my line and I don't have any missed calls or text messages. Nicolas elevated his voice saying he had proof he sent a text. He said he would have sent an email, but I failed to give him my email address as required. I reminded him he gave me a choice between a phone number and email before saying even if you sent an email the time can't change unless I verify I am ok with the change. Before I could make sure Nicolas did in fact text the right phone number, he abruptly cut me off with a loud NO! He continued his rude and extremely disrespectful behavior by yelling about how he is not going back and forth. He said I missed my 7:15 pm appointment so it's my fault he won't be refunding my money. I told him I blamed him for changing my appointment without authorization. He told me to go deal with Groupon and hung up on me. I spent over 3 hours traveling to and from appointment, waiting, and responding to Groupon (therapist prematurely marked voucher as used so the issue had to be further escalated within Groupon before they eventually undeemed it for a refund). In the end, I was left with my same soldier pain and a headache.
