So this review is for the Miles Joseph studios hair part before I did the face lab which is your facials and skin care. My car gets treated better than myself at times so I'm happy to give me some self-care..I definitely found my place. Taylor takes care of my skin care and now Maddie and who is fresh talent and (well who doesn't still learn or want to learn new ways.) So I had the talent of Miles Joseph come in and help on the cutting of my hair. It was great meeting Miles and thank you so much for complimentary product of color wow. I just love that brand I personally use it I felt like I been friends with everyone for years which is great feeling to have. I finally found a salon I love. I've been going to Miles for over two years now and can say I have never had a better hair stylist! He is passionate about his work and makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed! He I loved him so much that I made my husband (then boyfriend at the time) go to him as well and he thinks he's amazing too! Miles Joseph Studios is the coolest salon I've ever been too. The decor is super cute and modern- I'm totally stealing decor idea for my own home! As soon as you enter you are greeted by the friendly staff- they will feel like your new bffs. This is a very intimate salon so you get a lot of personal attention. Miles wants to give you your best hair and listens to what you actually want. He gives awesome advice and tips too when deciding what to do with your hair. When I first saw him my hair was extremely dirty blonde and very dark and I asked him to get me to a platinum blonde. Though it takes time (I would've been balding if he didn't take his time with multiple appointments haha) I always come out with beautiful hair. I've been a couple different shades of blonde over the years from platinum to ash with a deep root and I love it all. Miles and his staff not only are professionals and experts with their craft, but they also know how to make you feel comfortable and I truly think that's the most important aspect for a salon especially when you're there for a couple hours! I love our conversations and I love how I can vent to him about literally anything and how he knows when I just a glass of wine to relax! Haha! But seriously Miles and his crew are the best! I was looking for a new salon after my stylist left my old place and came across miles Joseph studios. When you walk in it's very modern clean decor and working with Cailyn was amazing. I got a balayage and before she started she broke down the pricing what would be best for my hair and a realistic expectation of my coloring on my already color treated hair. I spent 3.5 hours in the chair and it was well worth it! I will definitely be a repeat customer and can't wait to share this studio with my friends. read more

Wow! Amazing! Fantastic! I will NEVER go to another hair salon ever again. First time getting my hair done since before Covid shutdown. My hair was long and wasn't making me feel pretty anymore. I've been looking around for a good local place to go to. Saw the reviews of this place and decided to give it a go. Lucky, they were able to fit me in. Well, what do you know, I drive by this place all the time and always thought it was a residence. Incredibly clean and inviting inside. Lana took excellent care of me. I'm usually quiet and shy, something about Lana - I was comfortable and told her my hair goals and we got to chatting about stuff. She is a miracle worker! I've never chatted so much in my life at a hair salon! Lol. That's how comfortable Lana and the whole staff made me. Complementary drinks? Why thank you! Drink responsibly! Hmmm.. don't know how to start this review. really reviewing with a heavy heart coz never expected I would have this experience. I had been a regular at Style points salon in South Windsor. I had few regular stylists who moved out to start their own businesses. Tried them but either they were far or it didn't work out. slowly got introduced to Miles and Hayley at Style Points. both are great stylists truly.. young aspiring stylists.. no doubt about that. So that's why when they open this neat studio I wanted to give them a chance. To be very frank I didn't feel much welcome, not sure why. Slowly I noticed lot of stuff but I still kept on giving them second chances. 1. My appointment was for 5:30pm. Traveling from downtown at office hour is difficult. Even leaving early keeping buffer time I was late due to an accident on road. Well I called Miles and let him know. Finally when I reached he said we only have 15 mins left before the next client. Who keeps only 30 mins for an appointment back to back. Anyways he told me that day that he will keep in mind that I travel from far so keep buffer time in my appointment. Also he said next time he will make sure to give me free deep conditioning. 2. Never got my free deep conditioning till date. Paid for each of them. 3. I noticed they put up pics of almost all clients' hairdos but never took mine. This is childish you can say but still felt weird. Either you are not giving me the best service or you just don't like me.. anyways I can still let this pass. 4. This one is the worst. Went for eyebrow and upper lip wax. I was feeling tingling from the beginning. When I reached home I had marks all over my face and it was there for over a month. Even makeup couldn't hide that. When I let Miles and Hayley know that I didn't get anything more than just a 'sorry'. I was told that they will have the wax issue fixed and give me a call. Never received the call. Few days later I received a call to confirm my appointment, when I had asked was the wax issue fixed, she told me "so do you want me to cancel?" !!!!!!! 5. The front desk is a little weird. Sometimes I got reminder calls sometimes didn't. Anyway all in all didn't feel welcome. I don't do regular coloring or haircuts. I just need waxing and deep conditioning. May be that's not enough business for them to welcome me.. whatever it is it wasn't cool. Had to have my face marks for months. read more

I went to Miles off of the good word of another one of his clients and he exceeded my expectations. I never am one to know exactly what I want done with my hair and when I sat down in his chair he completely took over, and I LOVED it! He told me exactly what he was envisioning with my hair so I completely just let him take the wheel. It's extremely comforting to let someone do your hair who is oozing with confidence and has no doubts in their ability! Also, the rest of the stylists in the salon were so cool and trendy. One of the girls would pop over every now and again commenting on how amazing my hair was going to look when he was finished which made me so excited. Just on my walk from the chair to the wash station I think I got at least three compliments going both ways. This made me feel excited about my results and optimistic about how much I would absolutely love my new hair! Lastly, I need to mention how cute and trendy the salon is. Amazing hair salon. Everyone is so welcoming, from the front desk as soon as you walk in to all of the stylists! My hair always comes out perfect and I really like the high end product used on my hair for color and the styling. The atmosphere is so clean and the decor is top shelf!
