Our realtor recommended Bone Dry Roofing when we bought our first house. The previous roof had two…read morelayers that were in poor condition, rotted decking, leaking and molded chimney stack (which needed to be torn down and replaced with a b-vent), plus flashing needed in several areas. We were overwhelmed by the amount of work needing to be done, but Bone Dry did an excellent job of explaining everything in detail, and we went into the job feeling confident in Bone Dry's abilities. Our appointment was originally scheduled for before we moved in, but was pushed back several times due to other jobs running over, which was a bummer considering it was scheduled 2-3 months in advance. We were happy though with the continued contact throughout the job, and the friendliness and professionalism of our point-of-contact on-site. He continuously texted photos of the job, the damaged decking, and explained what they were doing and why. Our only complaints are 1. of course, being pushed back so many times, but I have to understand the nature of the job. We were hoping for the job to be done by move-in for the sanity of our dogs. 2. They completely tore off all of our gutters, and even left some parts on that now dangle off of our house, which sway in the wind causing damage to the siding. It may be common sense, but we didn't realize all the gutters would be torn off and when we followed up with Bone Dry about it, they gave us another quote for installing new ones (which ended up being almost half the price of the entire roofing job itself). Needless to say, we haven't replaced the gutters just yet, and were a little disappointed by the lack of communication on the matter, especially with how awesome and thorough they were with everything else. The gutter and gutter board on the back of my home came loose and was hanging down. Called Bone Dry to get a quote. Cameron (who was awesome) came out on April 8th to assess the issue and give me a quote. I signed a contract that day. Weeks and weeks pass by and I don't hear anything from Bone Dry regarding a date where they plan to come out and get the job done. I get text messages on April 30th, May 14th, and May 28th saying they eager to begin working on my roof. June 15th rolls around and nothing has been done or communicated. The issue had become much worse , where my gutter and gutter board were now detached from my home and laying across my patio. I call their office and speak to someone who says she will have someone reach out to me by EOD. I hear nothing. I call back the following day and notify them that no one reached out to me as they said they would. The person I spoke to told me she was going to contact the main boss (who was on family vacation) to see if someone could reach out to me. I finally hear from someone and they scheduled a crew to come out on June 17th to get the work done. The crew did in fact show the morning of June 17th and got the job done. As soon as the job was complete, I began getting mass amounts of text messages and phone calls to make sure I pay the invoice. If only I received the same effort to get my roof fixed as I did to receive my payment... Not once I have received an apology, communication where they went wrong, nothing (expect constant hounding for payment).

He completed the new roof on time avoiding storms that were on the way. We also had an existing leak. Jim stated that the leak would be corrected along with the new roof. Two months later the leak returned, this has always been in my mind a design error by the builder. I don't blame Jim for the leak, but it became worse after an attempted repair on his part. Haus came back to do new repairs and found two issues in the same area of the roof. The man was on my roof doing repairs in lightning and rain, crazy! The heavy rain that day stayed out of the attic, I need more time with storms to test the repair. There was a storm that came on 3/15/2024 that required an insurance adjuster/advisor to do an assessment for potential damage. The adjuster informed us that they are severe issues with this roof installation and it is causing wet decking from pipe boot leaks, there was no starter strip installed, there is 2 different types of roof vents installed. In some of the overpayment of the shingles was done incorrectly causing algae and moisture build up. This was devastating news. When I called and messages Haus Roofing I didn't hear back for about a week. Then a man named John Land called me back and laughed on the phone at me and told me this is the homeowner insurances' problem. "If ANYONE goes on my roof it is no longer covered on the warranty. Which is not correct in the contract it states if another company does work on the roof the warranty is void. We have made multiple more calls and left multiple messages for Jimmy Haus but he refuses to call us and to honor our warranty.

Ben came by and looked over the project and gave me his assessment of the situation. I found Ben to be very honest and straightforward. Over the next week Ben and I exchanged emails discussing the particulars of the project. Ben provided his analysis and was collaborative. Ben works by himself and in the end I just felt like it would take multiple people to accomplish in a single day what I felt was needed.
