But, every once in a while I get a little crazy and turn the dial to 95.7. I'm a little embarrassed to admit this actually. Because, come on. It's called "The Party." They throw events at places in the Pavilions I'm pretty sure. And I'm so not that kind of girl. But, I love that they play a lot of hip hop classics from the nineties. I mean they're classics to me anyway. Here's a good example, last night I turned it on during my drive home from the airport and I got to hear Special K's "I Got A Man," Run DMC's Christmas rap, and 112's "Peaches and Cream." I like those songs and I can appreciate a radio station that will play them every now and again. Just don't tell anyone I said so or I think they'll take away my indie cred.

Since this is one of my all time favorites I decide this is a must concert (no matter how crazy Scott Weiland is I think his voice is like butter). So 10a I click the link from Area 93.3 and it opens Ticketmaster and much to my dismay - no KTCL presale box!! Nooooo! So I shoot off an email to the station, just as an FYI. Much to my surprise, in less than a couple minutes I got a response from Nick Cage. Color me impressed (what color is impressed anyways? I want to say purple for some reason). Long story short, he got me squared away. 5 Stars for Nick Cage! Now I have my STP tix! Other than that, it is one of my go-to radio stations. No. 1 on the ole dial. I wish they would play a little more obscure stuff and not repeat so many songs, I mean I like Muse, but do I need to hear them 10xs a day? Still, a good spot to linger on the dial for awhile. I had to…read morewrite this review so no one misses the yearly event sponsored by Alice 105.9 AuNaturAlice show at the Soiled Dove. Last night was the 10th year for AuNaturAlice show and I had never heard about until about two weeks ago when I found out the event was sold out. Duh- I don't listen to Alice 105.9. I heard a song on Itunes by Vicci Martinez "Come Along with Me" I started listening to her on Pandora and loved her music and voice. I liked her page on facebook and wrote how much I loved her music and please come to Denver. Turns out she wrote me back and said I will be in Denver on April 11th. Not only was Vicci Martinez performing but Keaton Simons, Matt Hires and Life House. Wow what a show so I knew I had to go. The event was sold out and I tried to get tickets everywhere, Ebay, CraigsList, StubHub, and various ticket agencies. I was like a stalker liking every performers page on FB asking for tickets for sale. I posted an ad in Craigs List for tickets wanted and a couple couldn't find a babysitter. My lucky day had arrived two days before the show and in a snowstorm I drove to Denver to get the prized tickets. These are prized tickets as once this show sells out people hold on to them. No one was selling tickets out side the venue prior to the show. I had to write this review because this AuNaturAlice event should not be missed! I want to go every year as I was impressed with the performers an the Soiled Dove as a venue. Tip- Buy your tickets as soon as they go on sale! I loved this show - thanks Alice 105.9 maybe I will listen to you on the radio sometime.

I've been a KBCO Interactive Member for many years and a general fan since 1988. I've won concert…read moretickets 4 times, and most of their DJ's take requests. I love the station's balanced musical programming of styles and genres, and their DJ's are often informative and amusing. I also find Bret's editorial comments about music and other serious topics to be balanced, sensitive and often satirical in a positive way. The station's Studio C Program is a wonderful resource that I could praise endlessly in a separate review. I also love the way they combine new and old music from different decades, which leads me to my one big complaint: Every DJ--seemingly every day--plays virtually the same 15 or so old hits by famous veteran artists, all of whom are pioneers or gifted artists I truly love. However, I'm getting so tired of hearing the same songs every day, and I sincerely wish that they would play deeper cuts from these same artists and/or the same albums/CD's. Please join me in my little campaign by calling or emailing KBCO so that they can become the great radio station that they deserve to be.
