First time here tonight and wow, so good! We ordered the Spaghetti Oli olio (spaghetti with garlic, olive oil, parmesan cheese, olives, and hot peppers), gemischter Salat mit gegrilltem Lachs (mixed salad with grilled salmon, onions, tomatoes, and cucumber), and Pizza Calzone (stuffed pizza with tomato sauce, cheese, salami, ham and fresh mushrooms). We then shared it all and everything was very fresh and delicious. We sat outside as the weather was beautiful and there are many tables to choose from. The staff is very friendly and many spoke English. The service was good, not great, but in line with most good restaurants in Europe. I highly recommend this place as they have a great variety in their menu and it's an excellent dining experience!

This is a really nice place with lots of choices. They have many sizes to choose from of most their dishes and the staff was straight up with me when I asked for their take on different dishes. Which I really appreciate as I would hate to get something I don't like and they aren't even much of a fan of. They have all sorts of pizza and pasta and Italian dishes. It's a pretty good place and the outdoor seating is relaxing.

This place had great seating options. We were seated on their patio. I love italian and was excited to try everything from pizza to pasta to bread however we weren't impressed. We went with my family which included 2 kids. No complimentary bread which i was shocked about. Their menu selections were a wide variety from pizzas to pasta which i did like. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese which came out beautiful but didn't taste like it looked. Very bland spaghetti sauce and not that much meat. My mother got their calamari plate, which although it didn't look like calamari and instead looked like onion rings, it had a nice flavor. Maybe too much batter but none the less it did taste ok. Fries were probably the best part. My sister got the rahmschnitzel which had this amazing gravy on it. Prob on of the best schnitzels i've had in germany. We ordered the pizza #76 which was supposed to come with garlic sausage but instead got pepperoni. It wasn't the best and truthfully felt like the cheese was tasteless. The service was however very good. Our server checked on us enough and was attentive to our needs. Their dessert menu looked amazing but didn't get anything in the end. I'd say i'd go back but wouldn't order anything i ended up getting.

Good takeout. This spaghetti Carbonara is the best thing I had in a long time. So yummy. This place is a very short detour on my way home from work. I will be back multiple times over the upcoming years. I can already tell. The pizza is marginal. The salad did it's trick. Carbonara is the real deal. I can't wait to try other dishes.

AMAZING PIZZA! Great Togo pizza too! Lots of seating as it's a large restaurant. Somewhat Friendly staff.

Came here for a mid-week dinner and we were pleased. We ordered the Pizza di Carne and a three pasta dish. Both of them were delicious and we would order again. The pizza was a "small" but it could definitely feed two with a side salad or appetizer. The beer was good, could have been a tad bit colder but not a deal breaker. We will be coming back for sure to try more of their food.

My friends and I decided to stop by this restaurant to grab dinner. Although it was a Saturday night we were seated pretty quickly. The dishes that we ordered were the Pizza di Carne, Spaghetti al Forno, Calamari Fritti and Ragatoni Lachs. These dishes did not disappoint and I would recommend them to new customers. The waitress checked on us pretty frequently which was nice as well. So if your ever feeling Italian food, Milano would be my recommendation.

First time here and while busy there was plenty of seating inside and out, we dined outside and were quickly greeted by our server who spoke great English and we ordered our drinks. I had a Mai tai and the hubby had a beer, it sure wasn't a great mai tai but I ordered a 2nd so it wasn't too bad; light and refreshing which is what I was going for anyways:) We wanted to try pizzza and pasta so we decided on one each with the promise to share a bit of each; I the pasta lover of the family chose the Tris di Pasta al Forno thinking it was three seperate pasta/sauces wehen in fact it was but all of them in a baked dish. My thoughts were we would get a taste of their red, cream and gratine but instead we got them all mixed together and it was good! I wasn't a big fan of the green pasta but the hubby was so it all worked out. Bonus this is with in walking/biking distance for us so I know we'll be back to try more and probably frequently as the cost is amazingly low.

Milano's is a very beautiful restaurant located near Gartenschau Kaiserslautern where many locals dine. I love the outdoor seating. They are well known for their brick oven pizzas. The portions are ENORMOUS! Two can share an order & you just take home what you don't eat for tomorrow's lunch/dinner. I'm use to my pizza being precut but here they serve it whole and you use your knife and fork to cut it up. The peppercinis are soooo good! I could not stop eating them! My husband and I had to paper, rock, scissors for the last peppercini lol They actually had a steady flow and system down to take care of big crowds. I would highly recommended this place for large gatherings. I look forward to coming back and trying more next time.

Good rump steak. The spaghetti carbonara was good..according to the wife and the pizza is HUGE...but good. Plenty of beer and wine as well.

Pasta Carbonara, thought I read it had peas, but didn't see any. Maybe I'm wrong....

Came here to eat with a large group. Overall the food came out fast and the service was great. The pastas we got were good but I could of sworn the pasta I ordered (Carbonara) had peas in it but came with no peas, seemed like something was missing. Overall my pasta was tasted okay. The atmosphere was very nice and when we first arrived around 5pm the resteraunt was empty. Later around 7pm the resteraunt got packed with people. Nice place resteraunt to eat at or go for drinks. I would return again.

Great seafood pizza, i could not finish it and it was just 8 euro.

Really great pizza, Establishment: it was a rainy day but outside still much better then sitting inside since there is no AC. They have awesome umbrellas and cushioned chairs. Food: Pizza tasted good, calamari ware amazing and fresh. Coffee and bottled water were great. All top notch. Service: All was great A+++ waiter spoke really good English. Save your self some trouble and don't order usual American dishes. Try some awesome brick oven pizza.

Banana/cherry drink, very tasty but also very sweet.

While it is a hassle to eat here due to the parking and it being downtown, it's definitely convenient if you are already in the area or you just got done shopping at the mall. They have a separate entrance for strollers and a little area for the kids to play, color and entertain themselves - definitely appreciate this so they can do something with all that energy. There have been many kid friendly restaurants in Europe(more than in the US) - and you can add Vapiano to the list.

When you get there, you are given a card that you charge all your food orders too. There are pasta counters where you place your order to the chef at that station. After they ask you a few questions on how you want your dish modified, they begin cooking right there on the spot. Don't go too far away because, they are speedy!! Everything I ordered took no more than a few minutes to prepare. You really don't even have enough time to get bored and check your phone - that is how fast they are. I ordered two rounds of pasta because one wasn't enough. Not to say the portions were small, but the food was that good I had to go back for a second helping. My first course was the chicken alfredo, to which I added a second helping of chicken. I also ordered a side of the bruschetta. The Chicken Alfredo was everything and more that I was expecting. Creamy, Cheesy, the sauce was the perfect consistency and flavorful. I had some fresh shredded, not grated, parm added to the top and that really set it off. The bruschetta was equally as delicious. I'm not sure how they flavored their tomatoes, if they even did that, but they tasted very fresh and diced the perfect sized for a small handheld dish. I really have no major complaints about the Bruschetta because it was such an amazing dish, I was just expecting there to be some kind of mozzarella cheese and a balsamic reduction of some sort drizzled across the top. Again, not a problem at all because of how well it was executed without. After seeing what one of my dinner guests ordered (pollo picante w/ zoodles) I had a small sample and instantly knew I had to have a full serving to myself. I ordered mine with ziti noodles instead and I was far from disappointed. The sauce that it was cooked in is hard to describe, but it was sweet and tangy and really reminded me of what I think orange chicken from your favorite Chinese restaurant might taste like. Both dishes I would easily order again or recommend to someone coming for their first time. My experience at Vapianos was a very enjoyable one, and they are well deserving of a 5-star review, but I'm going with a strong 4.6 because consistency between dishes were very noticeable. There were two orders of chicken alfredo at our table, but cooked by two different chefs, and it was very clear one was better than the other. The difference wasn't as noticeable with the pollo picante, but there was still a slight difference between the two dishes prepared by those two different chefs. For anyone living or visiting the area, it is imperative Vapianos be at the top of your list of restaurants to dine at. Visited 1 May 2023

This is actually pretty difficult to find for a non-pub, but Bistrorante Da Adriana is a full service restaurant that opens late (11 PM) and had very comfortable dining. Their ambiance is that of a casual-upscale versus rustic Italian, but you can most certainly come in with casual attire. The hostess was super friendly and lit candles at the table for the mood while we peruse their HUGE menu of fresh pastas, salads, pizzas, and drinks. I ordered the classic carbonara with spaghetti pasta, husband ordered the salmone with spaghetti pasta, and we shared a tartufo Italian ice cream. I love ordering classics as my way of testing restaurant's ability to make staples and chef did not disappoint! The prosciutto was generous and you can clearly taste the parmesan and egg yolks. But my husband's salmon pasta was exquisite, I was SO JEALOUS of his pasta. The sauce was flavor packed and rich with salmon flavor without being overly fishy. You can sense the small bits of salmon without it being texturally chunky. And the tartufo ice cream was a perfect finish to the evening, perfectly sweet cold and presented beautifully on a platter. All this food for LESS than 40 Euro with two non-alcoholic drinks. Extremely affordable, especially considering the portion quality and service. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who has dietary concerns (HUGE selection of vegetarian options), need comfortable seating/non-smoking (I'm pregnant so this was PERFECT for me), large parties, and a late-night spot in the heart of Kaiserslautern. This little unknown spot definitely checks all those boxes and we will definitely come back here.

Unfortunately this year they were closed for holidays and La Piazza was recommended by a colleague. The location is nice, on a quiet pedestrian alley off the Schillerplatz; and the white clothe covered tables certainly gives it an upscale feel. The menu has traditional Italian dishes, salads, and pizzas. For starters I asked for a glass of Barbera and the young waiter told me they were out, so I asked for his recommendation and he replied "I don't drink wine so I can't help you." In my opinion a waiter should know something about their wines and if they don't they should know how to fake it. Maybe I pissed him off with my remark but when he brought my bottled water to the table and did not open it. Next I ordered the Insalata Italiano which should be served with a very mild dressing so you can taste the ingredients. This salad arrived swimming in balsamic vinegar that completely drowned everything on the plate. For my pizza I ordered the capers, olives, and anchovies - which should be sparingly added - just enough to give you a faint taste. My pizza arrived with many large anchovy slices that dominated every bite. Sadly I was not able to enjoy my salad or pizza.
