Located in a very quiet and secluded neighborhood, Gabriella has a private parking lot right across the street. The place itself was very easy to find. Right upon entering, I can hear English being spoken flawlessly without any accent. I would even guess that they have an American server. We were greeted and seated quickly. I ordered a small Spezi (combination of Fanta and Cola), and Justin ordered a still water (tap water in this case). We got the cheesy garlic bread to share and I started with the onion soup. For the entrees, we ordered the Rigatoni Gargonzola and the Fettucine Scampetti. The food took a fair amount of time before arriving. I don't mind the wait because we were brought our drinks and our appetizer with soup. The small size of the Spezi soda was way too small so don't make the mistake I made. Just order a large. It also taste exactly like what it is. I would have never thought to mix Cola with Fanta. Their tap water is probably one of the worse tasting water I have ever had. If you're one of those people who could taste huge differences in water, do yourself a favor and order another beverage. They charge either way so just spend your money on something more enjoyable. Cheesy Garlic Bread - Comes with 4 slices. Deliciously cheesy bread. You really can't go wrong when ordering this! Onion Soup - Very well seasoned without being overly salty. A semi-messy dish to eat because the melted cheese is stringy and sticks to everything. Not a cute thing to eat on a date or with people you don't know very well in my opinion. Rigatoni Gargonzola - When I think Gargonzola, I think of cheese in the blue cheese family. It's supposed to be a very strong taste that overpowers a lot of ingredients around it without trying too hard. That's what I was expecting. The taste of the cheese was somehow completely masked in this dish. Although the sauce was quite good, I couldn't tell there was Gargonzola. It was also a much looser and liquidy sauce than I had hoped for and expected with the pieces of sausages being overly cooked and dry. Still a very decent dish none the less. Fettucine Scampetti - Not as cheesy as a regular Alfredo sauce, but the creaminess was definitely there with the lobster flavor shining through. Shrimps were cooked to perfection. This was a very tasty dish I wouldn't mind ordering again. Overall, a lovely place with great ambience and friendly staff. A lot of Americans dine here from what I can tell. A minor thing I felt could have been better is if they provided freshly grated parmesan instead of the ones stuck in a stubborn glass shaker. I love this place, the have not let me down. All of the salmon dishes I can recommend without a doubt. They also have this apple crisp that is super good, was a bit sweet for me as I can only have sweets on the weekend, but it was good and yummy all the same. Also I enjoy how attentive the servers are, which is not common in EU, just look up in there direction and presto helpful person to your rescue! I enjoyed my food, the service was great, and the ambiance is lovely. I have to disagree with some other reviews that are saying it is expensive, I thought all of the dish's were reasonably priced (about 12-14 for meals, 5-8 for appetizers, 4-6 for desserts). I also saw that many people said they waited for their meals for a long time, but I arrived around 6PM and my drinks, appetizers, and 3 meals were served quickly. I did notice it start to get busier after I had eaten, so I suggest going between 5-6PM for timely service. I ordered the seafood linguine, I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and all of the seafood was cooked perfectly. My mom ordered a fettuccine in a lobster sauce, but it wasn't very good. It seemed a bit dry, maybe if there was more sauce it would've tasted better. My dad ordered schnitzel with an Alfredo sauce, he said it was delicious. read more

Passed this place a few times before we finally tried it. My husband decided to take me here for my birthday and I was very happy with it. We sat down immediately and the staff was very friendly. Our order was taken right away and the waitress was all smiles. They didn't cheap out on the wine and I got a pretty good amount. We ordered the calimari and you could tell it was homemade. Nice and crispy without being overly greasy. I ordered a cheese pasta and my husband a pizza. The pizza was really salty. I think it was the chicken that was over seasoned. And the pasta was light and creamy. Overall a good experience with the waitress being attentive and the food coming out in a timely manner. I'll admit it's been a while since I've been back to Gabriella. I'd wish I could whip up some great story about how things didn't "click", but this one's really about price. The restaurant is... fine. They have a nice little shady spot tucked away by the Kino, which I'll admit is nice place to have a few glasses of wine before a 'flick, but hardly the quality or service I would justify spending that much on. The cold hard truth is that Kaiserslautern is not short on average-quality Italian food. In that market you could do better. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed by going here. Food is pretty good here. Probably one of the top5 best out here and Landstuhl. I love their garlic bread and the crab sauce.

Service was good. Lemonade was good but I wasn't impressed with the Chicken Parmiggiano. The chicken wasn't fully cooked and the pasta was like noodles in pizza sauce. It was not bad by any means, minus the chicken. I was with a large group and everyone else seemed very happy with their food. But my husband and I were only semi impressed. The garlic bread was fantastic though. And for dessert. Cremé Brûlée. Prime. It was absolutely spectacular. I'd like to consider myself a foodie with a love for small intimate restaurants and Gabriella's fits right in to that niche. Their customer service is great and their foods are so delicious. The marinara sauce could use a bit of work but it's not bad...just not as explosive as their Alfredo and other sauces. Shockingly slow service. My food arrived 45 minutes after we ordered. My boyfriend's food came 20 minutes after mine, which meant that we ended up sharing each dish rather than eating what we ordered. Another table that had ordered before us still hadn't received their food when we left. The delay was quite inexplicable, given that fewer than half the tables were occupied. It's a shame, too, because the food was otherwise reasonably good. I especially liked my Jägerschnitzel. My boyfriend's salmon lasagna was served immersed in a pool of sauce. Very strange, but the flavor was good. If you decide to go to Gabriela's, I would recommend bringing a book or downloading a Netflix movie to your iPad before you arrive. read more

The waitresses are super attentive (but not annoying), and when we ordered the five cheese fonduta and ran out of bread for how much fonduta there was, they simply gave us more! Gabriella's really delivers on taste! On a recent visit, we enjoyed a unique and amazing pear appetizer that was top notch! The pears were tender, the cream sauce was so good we were scraping the bowl and beef filling was such a nice touch! The garlic bread was perfectly balanced with a crisp finish. We followed with bowls of very tasty soup (tomato & shrimp)our meal was delicious and reasonably priced. We liked it so much we have scheduled 2 more visits this month-one for lunch and one for dinner! The service was polite and timely, the setting is pretty, not too big and very welcoming. The bathrooms were clean & bright and there is off street parking in a private lot across the street. This place is VERY popular for dinner so arrive early if you don't want to wait.
