Awaiting quote promised almost 2 months ago. Hard to rate on much else. I wanted to do business with these guys and looked at them first. I did not have much success. read more

Ghosted in an identical fashion to another customer's post. Also wasted an afternoon on an estimate. Left messages, texts, emails and absolutely no response. read more

After contacting several awning companies and having them come out to give us estimates - we chose Milanese. Why? For one thing, the other companies offered a 5 yr warranty while Milanese offered a 10 year warranty. One of the biggest factors I look for in choosing a contractor or company is how well they represent their products and services. Mark Milanese, President, personally handles all estimates and his presentation was heads and tails above the other two companies. Since my wife and I never had an awning, Mark gave us a full treatise on awnings in general; explaining the differeneces in the various fabrics, how the sun and shade affects color patterns; the advantages of a retractable awning, choosing which type of awning frame and valance selection. He was extremely thorough leaving no stone unturned and helping us immensly with our color, style and type of awning (manual/ retractable/ permanent). The installation team headed by Al (whose 43 years with Milanese proved this company is loyal and treats their employees as valued assests) quickly and methodically installed our 19 ft awning. We were impressed with the heaviness of the brackets supporting the awning and Al even matched the caulk to the color of our siding. Mark's brother John, an electrician came out and expertly hardwired the electrical plug concealing it in our siding so only a very small section was exposed. Milanese is also one of only a few companies in the US that utilize heavy duty motors in their awnings. Now we can really enjoy our deck on sunny days and not struggle with an umbrella that never manages to cast full shade on our table. Thanks Mark Milanese! read more

When having work done on my home in the past, I've always said things to my friend like: "You know, if contractors and home improvement companies had better customer service skills and reliability, they would have my business for life..." Little did I know, this company exists... and is a mere two miles from my home! After years of scouring the internet, I am so thrilled to have found the gem that is the Milanese Family & Milanese Remodeling, in my very own back yard. I had the great pleasure of working with Trish and Jackie in the office, to set up an estimate. In a day or two, Mark came out to our home and quickly surveyed our needs, and drew up a quote on the spot. It was more than fair in price, and EXACTLY what we needed. I had a million questions, some technical, some aesthetic/creative, some hypothetical, and some even were admittedly a little crazy (because I love to over-think all the "what if's"!). Mark patiently listened to our inquiries and offered professional and personalized answers, which gave us comfort and confidence in our purchase decision. Do you know what makes a good salesperson? One who gets to know his or her customer, their needs, and then showcases the product they truly believe will satisfy their customer for years to come. There were so many window options, some less expensive and some more expensive than what Mark recommended for OUR needs. The product he recommended (which we ended up choosing) is a remarkable fit for us and our home. Financing was a snap, thanks again to Trish & Jackie. Getting to know the Milanese Family was a pleasure, and professionalism and craftsmanship cannot be ignored. Our windows came in early, and Trish emailed to see if we'd like to get started early on the installation. Running ahead of schedule? ...WOW! I would be remised if I didn't speak to the talented installation crew that began and finished the whole project in fewer than two days! Our home was treated with respect and care. The crew was courteous and professional. When I requested to keep my old windows for craft projects, the workers even stacked them neatly in my back yard. As if this wasn't good enough? Our new windows have a lifetime warranty. AND, as our new windows were installed in the middle of August, we immediately noticed that our house was MUCH cooler. I expected to notice a slight difference, but the efficiency we're experiencing is off the charts. I would recommend Milanese to my family and friends a million times over, because I have the utmost faith in their honesty, commitment to quality, and their customer care excellence. Thank you, Milanese Remodeling, for giving the kind of care to our home that you would to your own! You are a treasure, full of pride for your community and care for your family of customers. read more

The worst customer service / problem follow up !!! If you want someone who will stand behond their work.....don't use Milanese. I purchased 2 awnings from Milanese, had problems and called them to come out and review. It has been 3 years and many many phone calls later with not even a return call to review the situation. read more

Mark came out last week to give us an estimate on a side porch. He recommended a handy man should do the job and was to contact 2 guys he uses. Thanks Mark for talking with us however we have heard nothing from either of the handy man services. read more

I was told that although my awning was installed upside down, and did not fit- that it WAS MY FAULT-that I had the responsibility to measure myself! That I hadn't made the contract with that brother- another had made the contract. It was a nightmare and my naivete in trying to use a local business was a total failure. Please shop hard- there are fantastic companies outthere- we immediately spent over 6K and got fast, clean, perfect work by A REAL COMPANY. One that I am reviewing later. read more
