Let me start by saying The Old Bill could not receive any less than 5*!!…read moreThis can only be described as Oldham's little hidden gem! Nicely situated just outside of Oldham town centre and approx 100yrds from Oldham central tram stop this well presented family run bistro is outstanding! The very second you enter your greeted by the head of the Bissolati family, Paolo! His warm welcome and cheeky charm for the ladies and flamboyant men will have you chuckling in minuets! Shortly after being seated Paolo will always head over and ask how you are and what you've recently been up to whilst hinting and suggesting his favourite dishes! You can not visit The Old bill without starting your meal off with the sexy garlic mushrooms as a starter! Words can't start to describe the taste the second they hit your palette (and I'm not being rude here) :P For main wether it's, pasta, pizza, chicken, lamb or stake you want the flavours of every dish will leave you wanting to come back the very next evening for more! The English Cuisine with and Italian twist to it will keep you firmly in your seat! Dessert and or coffee is a treat for the eyes, that's if you've room for dessert after your meal... Paolo offers an early bird menu at The Old Bill! Also due to it's popularity, often services on a weekend night are split into two! Book early if you plan to come and not a few nights before hand :)

I have a sore head. It's not good but it's the price you pay for a great night out. Ruby Lounge…read moretotally exceeded expectations. Me, planning, making a decision is a rare thing. My suggestion was actually a hit. I did my indecisive alterego very proud. There are many quality club nights organised by the Lost and Found name and this was no exception. Dance off, being £1 entry, sold it for me. Doubles for £3, a range of sambucas £1.50? Messy. Dance off saw a battle between three major DJs, strangerways, good vibrations and juicy DJs playing a mix of Joy Division, The Temptations and Dr Dre. Amazing combination. Ruby Lounge is renown for it's quality club nights and live music. The venue is perfect, with an adequate dance floor, a stage to match and plenty of seating on a slightly raised level for a chill out. Another great Northern Quarter location that needs to become a regular thing for me.

I think this might be a strip club. In fact I'm pretty sure. Well, it wasn't when I was in the Ruby…read moreLounge last night for a Lost and Found gig which is why I felt comfortable to take my boyf in with me. The gig was billed as The Cribs Aftershow but it was basically just a gig- most of the spectators were either in one of the four bands, looked like they should be or were girl groupies who were way too impressed with themselves that they were getting backstage. The sofas and high backed armchairs in the main bar area were nice touches, there were a few mirror balls around too. Plus velvet curtains - hello, strip club? Then you turn to the grimy stage area with the big grill up between the bands and the crowd. That said, no one went past the pillar anyway. Too cool to stand right at the front. Alright drinks prices - get some of their cheap vodka mixers or flavoured sambucas otherwise you'll run out of money quickly. After the bands they had Gareth Brooks from Xfm DJIng but we didn't end up staying.

The overall look and feel of Molino is pretty much the same as any other restaurant in The Loungers chain, with the same set-up, furniture and wall art, although it did feel much darker inside, probably down to a reliance on light coming in from to floor to ceiling windows and when I visited, it was dark outside so that wasn't there and it wasn't replaced with anything. I ordered the GF Lounge Breakfast with the following changes: - Poached Eggs instead of fried - An extra egg in place of the GF roll (I hate seeded bread!) - An extra sausage instead of the bacon My food arrived without too long of a wait. I was impressed with my food overall, the poached eggs were cooked very well without being too soft or too hard, and the sausages also were good quality and cooked well. I think they did a good job at making sure every part of the breakfast was piping hot; this is difficult to do with so many individual items especially the baked beans, which are often lukewarm at other Lounges (but not this one). I did find a lack of atmosphere inside overall, it seemed way too quiet, I visited during the time many restaurants would be having a rush of diners for dinner time, but I could count the number of tables with active diners on one hand, it just felt spooky and not right. The gluten-free menu is extensive and has lots of choices, I opted for brunch as it's what I felt like, but other dishes including buttermilk chicken, burgers, tapas and steak can be made gluten-free, but remember to order with a manager at the counter as you're unable to use the QR code at your table with an allergy. 4* - A pretty good Lounge, the food and prices are good, and the staff are friendly but having more brightness and atmosphere inside would go a long way at making the experience even better.

However, 4 of us ordered (2 separate orders) my 2 friends got their food 5-10 minutes before me and my girlfriend then when ours arrived my food in particular was just about warm enough to eat. The taste it's self wasn't too bad though and this was definitely represented by the price.

The interior and set-up is pretty much the same as every other restaurant within the chain, albeit a little larger, the decor and style with the mismatched furniture and wall art appear to be the same, but the vibes are pretty cool. The staff seemed friendly, although they could have done with more people working the bar to take orders quicker, but I did visit on a busy Saturday and they were trying their best so can't hold this against them too much. There is always the option to order the food at your table using a QR code, but I was unable to do this as I have an allergy and must order at the counter with a manager. The manager who took my order was friendly and was happy to make the changes I wanted to my dish without any trouble. The other members of my party ordered a dessert, and they were charged for a more expensive one than the one they wanted, this was their error however due to having two similar dishes on the menu. They did get the more expensive dessert and enjoyed it. I ordered the GF Lounge Breakfast with the following changes: - Poached Eggs instead of fried - An extra egg in place of the GF roll (I hate seeded bread!) - An extra sausage instead of the bacon My breakfast arrived in good time, again considering I visited outside of the usual breakfast window and how busy they were, was a good factor. My breakfast was hot, including the beans, which I appreciate is difficult when making so many individual items. One of the eggs was a little too firm for me, and the tomato was a little hard, but all in all, I enjoyed my meal. The sausages were good quality, and the hash browns were crispy and it was well-seasoned. It's a good Lounge overall and I would certainly return the next time I'm in Glossop with many good things to write about for sure. 4*
