It was whilst on one of these walks I discovered Reflexion Shisha Lounge. The lounge is extremely well run and the interior is immaculate. A posher version of Rusholme's Shisha cafe offerings is how I'd probably describe it. The Scene Indian kitchen shisha terrace probably gives it a run for its money but I think Reflexion wins out, just! The quality of the shisha is very good and despite it being a tad more expensive, given the waterside views is worthwhile. As well as Shisha they also have an extensive F&B menu although it's diffficult to see anyone venturing here for that alone if you're not into shisha. This place has definately given me more of a reason to explore what this locale has to offer.

Alcohol wise they have a large selection of wine, champagne, cocktails and beer. For private functions they can cater for up to 200 people with or without food. My suggestion was actually a hit. I did my indecisive alterego very proud. There are many quality club nights organised by the Lost and Found name and this was no exception. Dance off, being £1 entry, sold it for me. Doubles for £3, a range of sambucas £1.50? Messy. Dance off saw a battle between three major DJs, strangerways, good vibrations and juicy DJs playing a mix of Joy Division, The Temptations and Dr Dre. Amazing combination. Ruby Lounge is renown for it's quality club nights and live music. The venue is perfect, with an adequate dance floor, a stage to match and plenty of seating on a slightly raised level for a chill out. Another great Northern Quarter location that needs to become a regular thing for me.

The gig was billed as The Cribs Aftershow but it was basically just a gig- most of the spectators were either in one of the four bands, looked like they should be or were girl groupies who were way too impressed with themselves that they were getting backstage. The sofas and high backed armchairs in the main bar area were nice touches, there were a few mirror balls around too. Plus velvet curtains - hello, strip club? Then you turn to the grimy stage area with the big grill up between the bands and the crowd. That said, no one went past the pillar anyway. Too cool to stand right at the front. Alright drinks prices - get some of their cheap vodka mixers or flavoured sambucas otherwise you'll run out of money quickly. After the bands they had Gareth Brooks from Xfm DJIng but we didn't end up staying.

Then at weekends all hands are on deck as the club comes alive. Rififi has two floors. The first floor is separated in two with the lounge at the front and later the room opens up further to the RnB room. Upstairs is the Dance room with two separate bars and is huge! What is good is that you have choice and a nice open deck area to sit and relax and not get rain on! The club is modern, stylish and cosy and is always busy so you know that it is doing something right. This is the club I go to and also celebrities such as Hollyoaks stars to Britains Got Talents Auditionees and X Factor contestants. You don't want to miss out on this place.

The interior and set-up is pretty much the same as every other restaurant within the chain, albeit a little larger, the decor and style with the mismatched furniture and wall art appear to be the same, but the vibes are pretty cool. The staff seemed friendly, although they could have done with more people working the bar to take orders quicker, but I did visit on a busy Saturday and they were trying their best so can't hold this against them too much. There is always the option to order the food at your table using a QR code, but I was unable to do this as I have an allergy and must order at the counter with a manager. The manager who took my order was friendly and was happy to make the changes I wanted to my dish without any trouble. The other members of my party ordered a dessert, and they were charged for a more expensive one than the one they wanted, this was their error however due to having two similar dishes on the menu. They did get the more expensive dessert and enjoyed it. I ordered the GF Lounge Breakfast with the following changes: - Poached Eggs instead of fried - An extra egg in place of the GF roll (I hate seeded bread!) - An extra sausage instead of the bacon My breakfast arrived in good time, again considering I visited outside of the usual breakfast window and how busy they were, was a good factor. My breakfast was hot, including the beans, which I appreciate is difficult when making so many individual items. One of the eggs was a little too firm for me, and the tomato was a little hard, but all in all, I enjoyed my meal. The sausages were good quality, and the hash browns were crispy and it was well-seasoned. It's a good Lounge overall and I would certainly return the next time I'm in Glossop with many good things to write about for sure. 4*

Perhaps avoid if you don't like eating around children! I've been a few times and service can be a bit chaotic, I think they tend to be understaffed, but recently this has improved.
