This spot is black owned. This is why I decided to check out this venue, especially on Juneteenth! I am Pro black businesses and this business is definitely worth it. When I enter the property I was immediately greeted. The hostess was awaiting my arrival. I truly felt like a patron of this business. This was my second official facial. I was impressed from the continuous air vapor surrounding my face to the amount of product that was placed on my face. I enjoyed the technicians explanations of what was going on because this was a new experience for me. When you come here you're going to get the best service. You're going to get service specially for you. It's peaceful inside. There are plenty of parking spaces out front. They are covid-19 sensitive meaning they do the temperature checks and wear the masks. I was in invited back, and introduced to new products. I'm a natural girl and these products fit my lifestyle. I can't wait to come back. read more

Deserves no stars at all. Believe the reviews and steer clear. The people aren't lying. Business is a joke. I purchased a Groupon to try this place out yesterday evening. I immediately made an appointment for today for 5:00pm. Wrong move. I get an appointment confirmation email text today at 7:03am confirming my appointment. At 1:22pm, I see from the caller ID that someone here was calling me, but I was not able to answer at that moment. No one left a voicemail nor followed up with a text, so I just assumed that the call was likely just a confirmation call. After checking my email I see that my appointment has been rescheduled for two days later, to Wednesday March 15th in the middle of the day. Like what? I immediately tried to call the business to see if there was a mistake or something. No one answered. I called two more times at left a voicemail and still no one answered. How the heck are you just going to reschedule an appointment with no notice to or proper approval from the client?! Highly NOT recommended! read more

My first time here at the luxury Medspa and will not be my last, I truly enjoy my wax and vsteem, and a awesome glass of wine. Now the facility was very welcoming with a polite smell of eucalyptus and comfortable soft Music of R&B. I appreciate the clean area the ladies provided and the price was worth it. read more

Milan Luxury Medspa - It was my Birthday weekend - Waxing Near Me - Houston, Texas

I saw an ad on Instagram and that lead me to book on the website. The scheduling took less than 2 minutes - very simple website. I arrived a few minutes early, masks are required (during COVID). I was greeted immediately and lead to a room for my Yoni Steam and offered a drink. I sat there and reflected on life and just enjoyed my alone time, MY ME TIME. The young lady Destiny was so helpful and sweet. She checked on me and was so pleasant. After that I went to a facial room for a facial and chin wax. First time getting a facial, my fresh face looks RADIANT. Porschae did my facial and she was a breathe of fresh air. She was very Thorough and took her time. You can tell she loves her craft and she's passionate about this. I am so glad I went and will be booking another appointment for October. I have already referred 3 people to her already. read more

Milan Luxury Medspa - During my facial - Waxing Near Me - Houston, Texas

Such a wonderful experience!!! Porschae made me feel so welcomed and comfortable as soon as I walked through the door! It was my first time ever getting a Brazilian and she walked me through the whole thing! She was really gentle too and helped me brace myself before each wax!! 12/10 experience and can't wait to go back and also can't wait to see the rest of her endeavors!!! I also used the groupon and it was a really smooth process! There was a discrepancy on the behalf of Groupon (which is not this establishments fault at all!!!) but MIlan lux med spa was so accommodating that I did not even think twice about it! Very good customer service!!! read more

Lol I hate to leave a bad review, especially for a black owned business, but when my skin and money are involved.... I MUST!. I got this place from my male friend while I was saying how my usual esthetician is booked until September. I decided to on a dermaplane facial for $139 (+tax 150.46). They send me a deposit invoice for $54.12. I pay. The day of my appointment I arrive at 1:50 for my 2pm appointment, think since it's my first time I'll have to fill out some Paperwork or answer some questions... nothing. I am led to the room. And steam is turned on my fave, about 5 minutes later my esthetician arrives (no name, no introduction, no questions about my skin type, allergies, or what I use on my face. etc.) She finally speaks. "Your skin looks good, I have bad skin and can't relate blah blah" of course I go along with the convo because it's just conversation. I let her know this isn't my first dermaplane, but it is my first time here. Still no questions lol She cleanses my face then applies some yellow residue to my face and asks if my usual esthetician applies something before dermaplaning, I say no because I have only ever had and seen dermaplane on clean dry faces. As she starts dermaplaning I can feel she's not pulling my skin tight like you're supposed to, as well as going in any direction she feels like... instead of downward at an angle. She asked if the pressure is fine and I voice no, that I can't feel anything tbh... nothing changes. She continues and I can feel myself being knicked by the scalpel.. she starts to complain about my chin, saying she can't get it and goes in a thousand directions. Still no luck I guess. It finally comes to an end she moisturizes my skin and as I look in the mirror, I can see two cuts and a bump forming on my chin. Remember this is not my first time getting a dermaplane facial and I can still see texture and peach fuzz all over my face which, if done correctly, should be gone.. that's what DERMAPLANING is for. I go to pay and the lady tells me my total is $151. And I ask is this with the deposit I already paid taken out and she is like "ohhh you paid a deposit?? Hold on let me check, I sent the invoice?" Like... how are you asking me? Y'all don't keep track of payments? Without even checking, she does the math on a calculator and tells me my remaining balance. I pay. In this time, no after care instructions are given by the esthetician nothing, she's just sitting in the couch on her phone. I get in the car and instantly call my friend who recommended me and he was shocked. He asks and I said idk her name. He asks was she pregnant? I say no. He said "that wasn't Porschae yikes that's who owns it and always does my facial." So now I'm confused on who exactly that woman was who did my face. It's two days later and I literally have knicks, cuts, and little bumps all over my face as well as peach fuzz everywhere. So what exactly did I pay for?? Not a professional Dermaplane. Again, I'm sorry to leave a bad review about a black owned business, but whoever that was gave me a horrible and unprofessional experience. Maybe the usual Porschae is better, but unfortunately I will never be back to find out. read more

Masks are required during COVID, Making an appointment is so easy. I went from being a newby, to being a member, a wonderful decision. I would highly recommend anyone (Male/Female) that is curious about waxing to visit this establishment. The owner if very patient, and personable and will walk you through the entire process. If my recommendation means anything to anyone - I highly recommend this establishment. Please note Yelp has the wrong address, she has moved please check her website for the correct street address. https://www.milanluxurymedspa.com/ read more

Ima make this short and sweet. Porsche was very professional and sweet. I got a Brazilian thru Groupon which was honored. She was very fast and clean with the whole process! Ill surely be getting waxed every 60-90 days. Upon entering, i waz offered a complimentary chair massage and something to drink. The massage Leon gave was so amazing i ended up getting a hour something massage. Very reasonable price and the massage was THE BEST i ever had. Guess whos getting a massage every two weeks now?! Me! I did wake up from the massage a bit loopy and feeling like i was floating on clouds! Thats how well he got the blood flowing. I woke up the next morning sore (which told me he got the kinks out). I feel so much better and feeling like a detoxed. Overall, ill be back to try all their services. I love to support black owned business and this is it! read more

I have been coming to Milano for 4 years now. I have always had a great experience. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy with your service. I love how they have memberships for Brazilian waxing. It helps me keep up with hygiene and always having a pretty kitty! There are are a few membership options. Porschae is an amazing, hardworking women. She is always looking to improve services and makes sure her clients walk out happy! Not once in these 4 years have I had a bad experience. Porschae cares about all her clients and wants the best results for everyone! read more

Copied this from my google review... looks like there is another Yelp reviewer who had a similar situation with her groupon. Perhaps the company had regrets about signing up with Groupon... but I don't like being the one who it's taken out on - if that's what's happening. I use groupon often to find places. I hate paying full price for risky first tries... if I like a place, I keep going (without groupon). I found my masseuse, hair stylist and manicurist all this way. Anyhow, seems like a great place according to others, but I leave this review as a warning that there are situations where they don't honor a purchase, or can be pretty harsh to a potential customer and say to you, even when you have a paid-for voucher: "we will like to deny your service We only accept clients with good vibes and energy" (grammar, misspellings are not mine, I just copied the message) My interaction with the establishment got worse after posting the original review on google (I've left it below), I went to their website again and found a new email address to try out. Their site had been updated in other ways too. Looked nice. I forwarded my May 14th email to them and simply said (and I am copy+pasting here) "Hello, I noticed you now have a new email address listed on your website, so I thought I'd try it out. Could you help me with the below emails/questions?" I got a response! Hurray! Maybe because of the new address or maybe because of the google review... not sure. He/she said: "Good Morning, This is our first time receiving a email from you, Also have you tried calling us? Also, you left a review and we never service you . We will like to deny your service We only accept clients with good vibes and energy. So please refund your groupon thank you wish you the best of luck!" Yikes. Not the best "good vibes and energy"... maybe they were having a bad day. Not the best customer service, like "gee, I don't know how those attempts to contact us on the site and by email didn't reach us, but we're here to help now! What do you need answered? And, would you mind revising your review?" Also, my original review did say that I can't speak to their service. (I originally had contacted them about an expired Groupon with them for a service they no longer offered on the menu... wondering what I could use it toward. Groupon states "Did you forget to use this? Never fear! You can still redeem your Groupon at Milan Luxury Medspa for the $28.00 you paid, from now to eternity. All other terms still apply."... so not sure how Groupon deals with companies that breach that...) So, I may or may not just called it a botched situation or I may decide that 20 minutes on the phone with customer service is worth $28. Also, I need to revise the number below: I contacted them 4 times, not 5... went back and looked. My original review: ------- I have a voucher to their establishment and have emailed and used the contact form on their website 5 times over the last 3 months now with a question about the voucher. No response. Makes me wonder if they do not want to honor the expired massage gift card... Note: I cannot speak to their service once you actually get an appointment. read more

I had a great first experience at Milan with both Porschae and Leon. Walking in, the office is beautifully decorated and very ambient. Leon greeted me nicely and offered a glass of wine and a complimentary massage while I waited! During my appointment, Porschae was so patient and understanding that it was a new experience for me. She was super easy to talk to and that helped make the process go by smoothly and keep my mind off of the pain. Yes, the actual service hurt like crazy, but that's a given no matter where you go. It helps that she uses hard wax beads rather than regular wax strips. Being able to be comfortable with Porschae was what stands out and makes their office somewhere I actually want to come back to. I'm looking forward to my 3 week appointment! read more

I had the best first experience at Milan Luxury Medspa. I found them on Groupon in looking for a place for my first Brazilian wax. If you found them on Groupon also and we're looking up reviews like I did go ahead and book an appointment right through their website. The Groupon is only a 5 dollar discount and they take a portion. For the service that is normally 40+ at other spas it is more than worth it to make sure they get to keep all their hard earned money for five extra bucks on your end. Also, they are in a medical type building. Coming off 610 I turned where it told me too and was confused but it's right behind the big building when you first turn where it tells you too. All the buildings look the same but have the numbers big on the outside then it was on the 5th floor! Don't give up in looking! Anyways, my experience: I got there nervous as ever and was greeted by Leon with wine and a complimentary massage, because Porschae was running a few behind (but being she does all the waxing herself I did not mind a bit). The massage was great and did not feel like he was doing anything halfway because it was free, he was very kind. The wax hurts your first time, as it will anywhere. Porschae was making conversation nearly the whole time, while being able to do a fantastic job. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease showing off my lady bits haha. I don't think I could have had a better first experience and first Brazilian. I booked my next appointment on the spot and am going to tell all my friends who wax to check out Milan. They are the sweetest and truly care about your experience. read more

I go to a lot of different spas. This one was ok. The building was an old office building. I made my appointment online because the phone number just rings. I received my first Brazillian wax here and it was the worst experience. They say the first one hurts but after going elsewhere, I learned that my sensitive area wasn't cared for at the highest level. Definitely not a fan of the type of wax used. Never again. read more

Scheduled an appointment today for a wax at 12:55pm . Received an email saying that my appointment was all scheduled, no need to call unless I had questions. In the mist of the viral pandemic I checked her Instagram page to see if any closures were listed. Recent post says open for business and please do not come if sick. I drive 40 mins there just to find the door locked, nights off, and no one inside. Called 3 times with no answer. An 1hr 20 drive round trip wasted time and gas. This is extremely unprofessional and the reason I have a hard time supporting black businesses. Just as the client is expected to give a proper timely cancellation this is also expected from the service provider. read more

Honestly, I am not really the type of person to leave reviews for anything. But I had to make an exception for this amazing place. The building that Apple Maps directed me to was not the correct one, and I had to drive around a little until I found the correct building. Once I was and I took the elevator straight to the fifth floor and located the suite. I was expecting to open the door and see a doctors office type "spa" by the looks of this building, however I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is beautiful and you can really tell that a lot of thought was put into decorating it and making it welcoming to clients. Porshae had a client that was over 20 minutes late to her appointment waiting in there already, and I thought that perhaps she would cater to this client instead of me since she was in there before me. However, Porshae honored my reservation time and made sure that I was seen before this other client. This was a rather crazy situation because this woman told us that she left her baby in the car in attempt to try and skip ahead of me (WTF?!?) This woman then left the salon after trying to manipulate her was into my appointment time and failing. Anyways, while I was waiting for Porchae to finish up with another client Leon came and offered me a glass of wine or water multiple times and even offered me a chair massage while I waited! I decided to take him up on that offer and let me tell you, Leon just got himself a new client. He told me his prices and they are so so reasonable for the service that he provided. He gave me a complimentary back, shoulder and neck massage for 15 whole minutes and he's amongst one of the best massage therapists I've tried out. Porshae was also great at the Brazilian. Very sweet, fun to talk to and engaged me in good conversation to keep my mind off what was really happening down there. Her price on and off Groupon is only $19 for a Brazilian wax! I am pleased to say that I am officially done trying out random salons from Groupon for Brazilians (sometimes they turn out good, most times...not so much) and I'm also done paying $53 at European wax centers thanks to this amazing gem of a find. read more

Porschae was AMAZING!!! It was my first Brazilian waxing and she talked me through it the whole time. Her professional demeanor and her love for what she does was a breath of fresh air. She was also super efficient in a timely manner! Great quick pit stop on my "me" day! I love to support small businesses and this is definitely one that I will be back too! Thanks again!! read more

They are no longer located at the location via Groupon, but I believe they are operating elsewhere. I absolutely love this place. I've been getting waxed here for months. She is extremely personable. Her customer service is exquisite as she goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. The ambiance is great. I love the decorations, it's the setting of a high end spa with extremely reasonable prices. I plan to remain a customer from now on. read more

My husband and I came in to get the couples package, it came with a massage that lasted about an hour and a facial that lasted about 30 minutes so overall we got about an hour and 30 minutes of pure bliss. I purchased a very reasonably priced Groupon for a 60 minute full body massage here w/ Leon. Making the appointment was simple because you book it yourself online so I was able to get the exact date & time I wanted. I was able to find the building fairly easily using my GPS. When I entered the suite, the first thing I noticed was a family sitting on the couch, but no employees at the check-in desk. I sat down to wait in the only remaining chair in the waiting room, which unfortunately was positioned right next to the BLARING rap music. They should definitely consider turning the music down; it almost gave me a headache in the 10 minutes I sat waiting. Additionally, in one song I heard the "F" word, the "C" word, & the "N" word. Highly inappropriate & a little awkward when I'm sitting next to a family with their young child listening to this language. The room was dim, but nicely decorated. I was offered a water while I waited. I'd say the massage got started about 11:10. My appointment was at 11, but a 10 minute wait wasn't terrible. Leon, the masseuse, helped redeem the business for me w/ his extremely relaxing & thorough massage. He was polite & didn't massage too closely to my behind, which I was uncomfortable with. He was friendly & spent a few minutes in the beginning conversing w/ me & then allowed me to relax in peace & quiet for the majority of the session. He did accidentally pull my hair when he was removing the face cradle, but lucky for him I'm not tender headed. I didn't even say anything to him about it. He did toot his horn a few times during the session & reminded me how he'd like me to become a recurrent client & I should tell my co-workers about him. I won't ding him for that though; I understand that's why businesses go on Groupon is to be introduced to new potential clients. Overall, I am settling on 4 stars. It would have been 5, but they just need to turn down the music in the lobby & maybe choose a more universally enjoyed genre of music. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would! Didn't even walk in the place and from the beginning had horrible service! I called to book an appointment since I made the purchase through Groupon for a special offer. When I called I was told I would be called back in 10 minutes because I wanted an appointment on same day of purchase which was today 09/05/17. Well 30 minutes passed and no call so I decided to call again. I called back and until the 3rd call they finally answered, only to put me on HOLD! I waited on hold for about 15 minutes and finally just hung up. I tried a different number they have on their Groupon account and after 3 calls no answer either. FINALLY they gave me a call back 2 hours later. I made an appointment elsewhere instead. They need to get their sh** together! Wouldn't have gone through this hassle if my regular go to place wasn't flooded thanks to Harvey! read more

I am giving Milan Luxury Medspa two stars and not less because I didn't get to actually see Porschae's work so can't rate her on that. However, my experience there was not good and I wanted to share this so perhaps it won't happen to another person. I purchased a Groupon for a full set of mink lashes plus refill for Milan Luxury Medspa twelve days ago and made an appointment online immediately after. I made sure to notate in the booking that I had a Groupon for the lashes. Upon arrival for my appointment, I was greeted by a very nice gentleman as well as very loud hip hop music that was not conducive to a relaxing, spa environment. Porschae greeted me soon after and confirmed I was there for lashes and that I had a Groupon. After pulling up my voucher, she tried to scan my Groupon but was unable to due to technical difficulties with her phone. After being taken to a room and asked to lie down on the spa bed, she kept walking in and out of the room stating she was gathering various items. Needless to say, 20 minutes later she has still not started and I am still laying on the bed. Turns out she was trying to finish her transaction with the previous client, which is understandable, but a heads up would have been appreciated. Once she was finally able to get started, she suddenly realizes that she no longer accepts the Groupon for lashes and Groupon was supposed to take down that offer already. What I do not understand is why she did not realize that important detail when I made the appointment twelve days ago with the added comment of "I have a Groupon for lashes", or when she verbally confirmed that I was there for lashes with a Groupon voucher when I first arrived, or even when she saw my actual voucher and tried to scan it? By the time she made me aware she did not accept my Groupon, thirty minutes had passed from my appointed time and I had no time to start the session. My main complaint is that my time was not respected and it all could have been prevented. Overall, the situation could have been handled much more professionally. From previous reviews, it seems like Ms. Porschae does great work. Perhaps this one time is a fluke for her. The Groupon for full set of mink lashes plus refill is still available for purchase online. I just checked. Hopefully it will be taken down before someone else mistakenly purchases it. read more
