Right up there. Will be going back soon to see if it was a fluke, but definitely some of the best Indian food I've had.
We tried three curries - Traditional Chicken Curry, Village Style Lamb Curry and vegetable dish Mix Sabzi in a Clay pot. All were *outstanding*. It was way too much for two of us to get through and when we asked for a container the manager told us that was a great idea because it would "get even better the next day." He was right, but it was pretty darn good on the night too.
(Also their take-away containers have split sections for different curries so they don't all get mixed in together or have to waste 4 containers to keep them separate, which is a cool touch).
The place itself is...ah, who cares about the place - there's four walls and a roof that serve well to trap in the amazing aromas that greet you when you walk in the door.
There's also lots of awards hanging up in a cute shrine to itself. Noted there was no recent awards but they do get my unofficial 2015 one for 'Best Indian around Kew'. (Happy to make them a certificate for that to join the wall!) read more
