Milam once again proved that they are competent and timely, and that they do excellent work. A giant oak in our back yard had become dangerous for our yard and home. Milam took it down carefully and left the yard in excellent condition. Also a diseased pine was removed, and they trimmed lower limbs of several other trees. I called and scheduled a 9 am appointment for an estimate for tree service. When they called at 9:30 am to say they are on their way, I had to remember everyone doesn't use military punctuality as a precursor for great customer service. However, the price was good so I scheduled service to have two maple trees removed, stumped, and chips hauled away. They arrived in two different sites of crews. One crew to remove the tree and another crew to grind the stump. Then, they never showed back up. It is after 7:00 pm, and nothing. I had to call a crew leader and was told, "Hey sorry, they were running behind" ok, have you ever heard of a telephone call? It's a good thing I haven't paid them yet. The next morning, I decide to call them because I've proven I cannot wait for them to call me and I'm sure I would be a priority. Oh no!! The woman in the office says, "They said they will "try" to come back before noon to clean up the wood chips!" It a good thing I havent paid these people. read more

I recently had my rather large trees removed , 4 in all, and my yard cleaned of shrubs n vegetation. While they had two or so employees on vacation , they came on time and ready to work. They called and let me know they were on the way and got to work immediately. Two hours later my yard was completely cleaned. They even raked up the smaller piles. I was concerned about the tree stumps. No worries as they have a tree stump grinder who comes and chops that up too. Great price and professional guys. FIVE STARS. read more

Do not read reviews on their home page. They are bogus. Milam's took total advantage of an elderly neighbor. They trimmed her Bradford Pear trees even though it is well known these trees should not be trimmed. She contacted other tree cutters who refused to trim them but Milam's was in it for the money so they agreed to do it. They made such a mess the trees eventually had to be cut down totally. read more

These guys came out this morning and removed 5 huge Leland Cypress trees and the stumps. Couldn't be more satisfied! From start to finish, maybe an 1-1/2. Like a well oiled machine! They left no debris behind, were here when they said they would be here and called before hand so I could put up the kitties. They cut my tree down but left about 5 gallons of tree debris (tree chipping and pieces of limbs) from their chipper shredder sprawled in front of my house along the drive way entrance and road. It was much more than that before I asked them to clean it up. I paid them before I did a final inspection of the area which was a big mistake. I regret using this company. I am sure there are other companies that care about their work and do a better job overall at a comparable or less price. I will not use this company again. read more

Milam's tress service is out today clearing a good bit of my property. I chose the 8 hour day service to clean up as much as possible within 8 hour time period. Milam crew of 4 showed up 15 minutes early. Started on time at a hardworking pace throughout. The crew was courteous (great customer service skills) and upon completion I was extremely pleased. I had about 10 quotes prior to selecting Milam--their quote was by far the best. I was skeptical about the amount of work they would actually complete in 8 hours. This crew works hard any prior skepticism I had has been put to rest as they near project completion. I have more property to clear and Milam will definitely get another call for me. read more

I used Milam's tree service about a year ago and had approximately 12 trees taken down and was given a great price for the job, however this morning Josh came out giving me a quote of $900 to take down one gum tree in my front yard. I explained I had used them prior, had given them a referral and couldn't understand the price of $900, he lowered the price to $800. I didn't need the tree grinded down but he stated it was included in the price. He explained it was $350 just to come out but I'm thinking you have a boom truck, all the modern equipment needed to do this job, and I live 15 minutes from your company. I'm NOW on a fixed income and don't have an arm and leg to get this job done. I'm VERY disappointed with his quote. If your on a fixed income, this is not the company for you. Unfortunately I won't be using them again and will certainly not be giving them any future referrals. read more
