Service i really was not expecting. On 10/29/25 I phoned Milaeger's looking for something for a Christmas craft. I used their interactive phone service but was put on hold and finally just hung up. I know from shopping at Milaegers for year that they can really get busy and sometimes it takes a while to have your call answered. No big deal and I was able to find what I was looking for elsewhere. Today, 10/30/25, I received a call from one of the managers at Milaegers stating that she had noticed that I had called their store and that my call had gone unanswered. She asked what I was looking for and did I still need to find what I needed. I explained that I had found what I wanted and thanked her for her call. She did not need to call me, but she though enough about their customers that she took the time to follow up on and unanswered call. This is what I call real service and is just another reason I enjoy shopping at Milaegers. read more

Rewards system is questionable. While their system is up and running to accept your credit card, their 'system' is down for customers to apply their rewards to receive a discount from their next purchase. This has been going on for a few weeks They ask you to call to see if the system is up and running. What I'm not appreciating is transparency. If they don't want you taking a discount during the holiday , then state that the reward can be used after the New Year. I really find this very disappointing and unfair to the customer. read more

I try to visit Milaeger's at least three times a year. This is the go to place during the Christmas season so many decorations, trees, and other Christmas accents and accessories available. They also have clothing items and special area just for Christmas themed collectibles. Looking forward to the one year Christmas open house. Live music, food, and Christmas spirit. Excellent response time on call, terrible response time on their lack of tools and people to do the job. It took TWO days to figure out they didn't have people to move trees, nor any tools to cut them up with. read more

if I could go less I would. If you are looking for someone to landscape and maintain your yard this is definitely not the place. They will give you all the pomp and circumstance upfront but once you start working with them you'll find you are just a number and they don't care. If you are looking for someone to just dump chemical on your lawn and charge you more than most ( because you justify due to their perceived reputation) then this might be a good fit for you. However, if you have grass issues or need assistance on landscaping your yard they flat out don't care. Yesterday a representative came to do their final fertilization of my lawn for the year. I have asked multiple times for them to call me in advance so I can open my back gate so they can get in my backyard. We have about an acre of lawn. They did not call so he only did the front third of my yard. The representative was there for a total of 15 minutes. However, The invoice that they left was for doing my whole yard. This is not the first time I've called to complain about it and they do next to nothing to fix it. I'm done, they're fired I am finding someone who actually cares for next year. read more

Someone needs to give Manager Bill a lesson in customer service. Several weeks ago my wife and I bought a bird feeder which after several weeks attracted no birds due to its design. When we took it back wanting to exchange it for another feeder that would work (no refund) I was told since I had no receipt he would do nothing. I will never spend another dime at this store. Have been going here for several years but with the service I received, a closer home depot or lowes will do. No one seemed to want to answer my questions, the person to ask never showed up. After waiting for twenty minutes he came around and was of no help. Beautiful flowers and a wide selection of garden items are negated by poor customer service. read more

There are two Milaegers in Racine - the "good one" on Douglas Ave, and then...this one. It's only about 1/3 of the size of the Douglas Ave store, meaning the selection will be very limited. On the plus side, there is a fair amount under glass which is nice on an inclement day. Most of that is restricted to annuals, herbs and houseplants though. The quality of the plants is very high - they grow a lot of their own plants in their own greenhouses and that definitely shows. Stock seems to be regularly replenished and tended to as well. Prices can be on the high side - you might pay a dollar or two more, but your plants are likely healthier and will live longer. I think it's worth it. That said, I wouldn't use this location when the Douglas one is so close by (relatively speaking). read more

This location is much smaller than the Racine location but it still has quite a large variety of items for both your indoor and outdoor gardening needs in addition to a large selection of cards, gift and Christmas items. Nice cafe with refreshing, as well as warming drinks, and delicious snacks and sandwiches. If you are looking for unique and hard to find items, you may be better off at sister store, but I am sure they would order whatever you need regardless. read more

You get what you pay for and in this case, it's quality. They have a great selection of plants and even though it's a bit expensive compared to other places, I have never regretted buying a plant from here. Healthy, good sized plants that are ready to grow the moment you put them in the ground. I have never really shopped in the rest of the store where they have all of the furniture and clothes but I have browsed and the selection is amazing. I work at a department store and occasionally we have people looking for certain home decor items. If we don't carry it, I tell them to check at Milaeger's, especially at Christmas. read more

I came to this store last month and had the worst service I've ever had at a store. First off there was not a single cashier at the register and the cashier that did finally come just stared at me and then she got mad when I wanted to check out. When I asked to speak to the store manager the cashier rolled her eyes and called for him. He was very rude. The prices are way to high and the customer service was horrible. I live in Illinois northern suburbs but drive up to Milaegers because their selection is so good. They usually have everything I need and have a super selection of different varieties of plants. They also have great holiday decorations for both inside and outside. read more

Great quality and variety of goods.

If you like plants, Milaeger's is a great place to visit! Even though I am from out of the area, I like to stop by when I am in town just to look at the all their selection of beautifully grown plants. I found a Little Star Pulmonaria that I hadn't seen anywhere else but online, for example, and have found annuals I haven't seen elsewhere at great sale prices near the end of summer when they mark them down. They have online plant guides on their website. The plants are very well-cared for and reasonable in price but it is the selection that for me really makes the trip worthwhile. Now I'm a simple man, I get up every morning and tend to my farm, and drink my coffee. Knowing that I'm a simple man, let me tell you why Milaegar's in Sturtevant blew my mind. Upon entering the store I was greeted by a dank hip hop beat. I start lightly bouncing to the beat, a swing in my step, and before you know it, I'm going full out Crunk with it. One of the male employees of the store approached me and asked if i would like to have a Crunk style dance off. I accepted the offer. The reward you ask? Well, it was Thursday, you know what that means, Taco Thursday. The winner of this battle would be receiving 57 pounds of Tacos. The fine gentlemen and I Crunked our hindquarters off for a solid 45 minutes straight, several items were destroyed in the process of this Crunk off, Including all 4 cash registers. We simply could not be stopped, it was simply the dankest hip hop beat I have ever heard. Truly supreme. We decided to call the Crunk off a tie, we were both elite in the art of Crunk. Each of us went home with 28.5 pounds of Tacos, needless to say, management had to purchase more taco meat because of this fiasco. The day was one of the most monumental day's in my entire life, and I plan to tell this story to all of my 17 grandchildren. We live in Kenosha but drive to Milaegers when we are in need of flowers, vegetable plants or shrubs. We find that the are very well stocked, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the plants are displayed in an easy to locate manner. I love this store! Nice quality plants and garden decor. I really enjoy the clothing, shoes and purses too. My husband and I also like their ice tea and sandwiches. You pay more than a place like Steins, but the quality is better. We usually have better luck with stock we buy there. read more

After 15 years we decided to replace our tired artificial christmas tree and were very intrigued by Mileagers ads and tv commercials regarding their life like trees. We trekked down from Mequon three times to look at the trees, make a decision on which one we wanted and to pay for it, and then to pick it up. We decided on a 7.5 foot Williamsburg pine, prelit with 10,000 hour clear lights. We picked it up the Sunday after Thanksgiving and put it up right away. Within four days we began having lights go out. At first it was individual lights on the strands which we replaced immediately. We ran out of the replacements within a week and a half. Then the top completely went out. I began to call Mileagers and it took a week before they responded with any real information. They sent someone out to replace the top lights and within two days other strings went out completely. How ridiculous. Now I have someone coming out today to take the lights off and credit me back the money we paid. All of this for a $900 tree. Very very disappointed. read more
