While I prefer to use my pedicure time to respond to emails, catch up on any news I may have missed, etc. I think it's always important for you and your tech to (at minimum) make introductions, with the tech checking in on preferred nail shape, sensitivities, etc...maybe 5 minutes max of "getting acquainted" conversation. The extent of our exchange was which pedicure I wanted and that was pretty much it. Not necessarily a bad thing all the time, but on this occasion it presented more sales/transactional vs. valued customer. I started writing my review mid service, assigning a three star experience at the beginning; however, the young lady at checkout was kind, conversational, and attentive, which encouraged the bump in stars from three to four. I have a lot of experience with lashes, and sometimes had a reaction. My pre-session research made me feel that it was going to be a big healing event and maybe even require me to be home for a week or so. NOPE! Tareylon is a pro, and after the numbing was put on for 20 minutes, it just felt like a little vibration. A teeny bit of a pinch as it wore off, but not bad at all. I didn't have to over communicate the look I was going for...she just talked to me, tuned in and NAILED IT. I am over the MOON! I love, love, love it and now, 5 hours later, hardly have any swelling or pain. I can't wait to go back for round 2 in 4 weeks. I recently saw a newer stylist who used an excessive amount of glue on my lashes, leaving large, uncomfortable clumps throughout the set. I left town the following day, so I wasn't able to address the issue immediately. When I returned and reached out, I explained what had happened and asked if they could help correct it. My regular stylist ultimately told me the glue clumps were so severe that the entire set needed to be removed. Despite the fact that the issue resulted from a service performed at their salon, the owner refused to comp a corrective visit, offer a discount on the removal, or make any meaningful effort to resolve the situation. What disappointed me most was the way I was treated when trying to address it. The response felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude, especially considering I had been a longtime member and loyal customer. Mistakes happen, and I completely understand that newer stylists are learning. What matters is how a business responds when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, the lack of kindness, accountability, and customer service from the owner is ultimately what caused me to end my membership after years of coming here.
