My friend and I came here on a Saturday and enjoyed the lunch buffet, which is just $8, the cheapest I've ever had to pay for an Indian lunch buffet. Some of the items in the buffet included saag, butter chicken, chana masala, samosas, pakoras. Even though it was $8, this buffet is definitely on par with other Indian lunch buffets that are a couple of dollars more expensive. Also, not every Indian buffet has samosas, so it was a plus that Wild Cook's did. They also bring you a plate of salad and then some sweet rice pudding for after your meal. Really good value overall for a lunch buffet. Outside there is a parking lot, which is kind of small, but there were several open spots when we went. I ordered a couple of things and none of them were good. Lamb kebab - I attached a photo of the "lamb kebab". It was literally 5 pieces of lamb taken out of an oily curry and put in a box. That's not kebab. The funny thing is, they called me from the restaurant to confirm I wanted lamb kebab. And then sent me that weird thing you see in the photo. Odd. Sweet Lassi - was watery and didn't taste good at all. Goat Curry- at this point I had almost given up. But this wasn't even remotely tasty. Special Biryani - lamb, chicken, shrimp- I don't know what that was, but it wasn't Biryani. It was more like rice mashed with shrimp and over cooked chicken and lamb Naan- it was okay. I will never order from here again.

Really solid Indian fare. Very accommodating of allergy requests, even ordered via Door Dash…read more Portions were right-sized, had a few leftovers. All in all, highly recommended

"Nepalese and Indian food in downtown Raleigh, near Marriott"…read more With a great location, this is VERY close to the Raleigh Convention Center. We arrived on a Thursday night at 6pm with a group of 5. The dining area didn't really accommodate a group that size, but they made it work by moving tables around, which was nice. The place was not very large, but there was maybe only one other family eating inside. The bathroom was clean. I split two dishes with my son-- salmon tikka masala and shrimp (prawn) saag, both coming with rice. We were given some papadum, I think, as a snack as we waited on the food, along with some spicy dips. Food came in maybe 10 minutes or so, which was great timing. However, I have to say, both dishes we tried were underwhelming. The shrimp was oddly translucent and not very flavorful in its dish, and the spinach in the saag wasn't especially tasty (though it did have a nice spiciness). The tikka masala sauce was great, but the salmon also was pretty underwhelming. We both said we'd probably just get chicken next time and not splurge the extra for the salmon. No dish was "bad", but just we expected them to be delicious and they were just OK. I'm just really surprised given how many people said this was the "best Indian" they'd had. The staff were friendly-- refilled drinks well and were good at answering questions. And the price was reasonable. Altogether, I'll give it 4 stars given the great location, good service, good price, but not 5 given the food was "just OK". Realistically, I probably wouldn't go back-- we have lots of great Indian in Durham and Chapel Hill, so I'd rather wait and get that.

The location is easy to find--toward the back of the hall on the east side. The staff was friendly, upbeat, and genuinely enthusiastic about their food. I ordered the Chicken Kati Roll, plain naan, and a mango lassi. Everything was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. As expected, the atmosphere is that of a food hall, but the stand itself stands out, with numerous restaurant recognitions on display and a clearly presented menu. If you're looking for quick, high-quality Indian street food downtown, this is an easy recommendation and well worth a visit.

There were so many great sounding options, but I hadn't had Indian food in a while, and Butter Chicken just sounded like it would hit the spot. The ordering is all done though a kiosk, which was easy, but just a little less personable. Once payment put in, they give you a "pager" so you can find a seat, and wait for the "page". The food didn't take too long, and my Butter Chicken tasted great. The portions were decent, and pricing ok. I wanted to get some garlic naan to go with it, but $4 seemed a bit excessive for one piece of flat bread, so i passed on that. Overall, it was a good experience, but very minimal customer service/interactions, made the whole thing feel a bit mechanical.
