I'm an Asian American visiting an old roommate of mine, this was his go to spot so I really wanted to see how Brazilians do their sushi. Here was our experience on a late Thursday evening.
AMBIANCE:
Parking: It's generally rough in Niteroi so we just Ubered, otherwise good luck with street parking.
Seating: Plenty of seating, mainly for groups. There's room for about 50 people in the spot.
Feels:
It's near downtown Niteroi so you're close to a popping spot with locals and tourist. It's a pretty well lit and organized spot. I dig the vibrant colors and the minimal Japanese art. What made it comforting on my end was the pop acoustic music like Ed Sheeran. Great place for Japanese food and in the need to feast especially all you can eat (read below)
FOOD:
All You Can Eat
Now I can't remember everything we ate...but we ate a lot. Overall the fish was fresh and the selections were plentiful. What really hooked me was the passionfruit salmon sashimi.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Friendly people! They followed up on us timely which was excellent!
TL; DR OVERALL:
5 Stars. Plentiful selections, fresh food, and great service. I know when in Brazil, do Brazilian things but Brazilian-Japanese sushi counts. This place delivers so if you're in the area craving some sushi, this is your spot; I know I will.
TIPS:
* They run out of salmon skin so make sure you get some of that. read more
