I've been coming here for two or three years, and this is the first time I've had a bad experience. I asked for a gel manicure, My regular technician who is Bella wasn't available, so a male staff Jimmy took care of me instead. He used the drill with way too much pressure to remove my gel. It was so intense that it felt hot and painful. I've been getting gel manicures for decades, so I know how it should feel. He clearly over-filed my natural nails. By the time I realized it, my nails were paper-thin. I was honestly at a loss for words!! After all my nail broke the very next day. When I went back to get it fixed next day, He was aggressive and refused to admit he over-filed them. They said Your nails were already thin to begin with. That's all. Excuse me? I've had gels for decades--I know exactly how thick my natural nails are. The front desk is always arrogant and rude as well. Honestly the worst nails I've ever had. I asked for round nails, and in an attempt to make them round after the gel process was done, she gave me a nail file cut - like a super deep paper cut right at the corner under my nail. It stung a lot and still stings while I'm typing this. I pulled my hand away because it hurt but I didn't realize it was bleeding until later. After I realized it was bleeding, she tried to spray alcohol on it. ALCOHOL ON AN OPEN WOUND! I immediately pulled my hand away and said let's just wrap it up so I can leave. That would be been so painful. On my way home, I noticed that another finger had cotton literally inside the nail polish. And all my nails are different shapes. I'm the type of person who will explain what I want and ask for certain things to be fixed but after so many times I'm tired of asking for them to be fixed. The pictures speak for themselves. The design is not well done, many bubbles under the nails and one even has moisture under the nail which could lead to mold. Also my fingers aren't dirty in the picture that polish she didn't clean. These were done by Ana. I called back and asked to come in for them to be looked at by another nail technician. Oh my gosh. I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience here this afternoon! I came for a Mani & Pedi to get ready for my sister's wedding. Not only do my nails look absolutely incredible thanks to Nathan but Emily was SOO WONDERFUL with helping keep an eye on my little one. I had my baby with me for my appt and everyone made me feel so safe & confident having him there with me. This 1 star review is specifically for a man that works there, I paid for a gold cbd pedicure and received nothing but a bunch of stuff massaged into my legs and the whole thing took 30 min , no cuticles, didn't even polish my toes or fix my chipped toe which I asked for in the beginning. Was VERY rushed, as my boyfriend sitting next to me got the same pedicure and took almost twice as long. When I went to the front to explain the situation he began to yell at me , very uncomfortable and unprofessional & still charged me $60 for it. For context - I've been getting pedis regularly for almost two decades, and the polish lasts on my toes for at least 3 weeks (usually 4). I gave this places many chances but I just can't get myself to come back. They're prices are way higher I paid almost $100 for a French gel pedicure a basic one at that. No extra fancy add one. They didn't even have the clear pink for my French like how do you not have a staple item. The lady cheese grated my feet so hard that the next day I couldn't even walk it hurt to step whatever she did caused sharp pain in the bottom of my feet. Called at 530 today for a last minute pedicure. I'm very aware this isn't easy to accommodate since they close at 7pm but it can be hard to schedule when you have children. They said absolutely come in at 6pm. As I'm about to turn into their parking lot they call to inform me that they actually can't take my appointment and will need to reschedule. If you're a mom you know how frustrating this can be. After getting a sitter, settling the kids, and finally getting out of the house it's a process. From the get go they should have just said they were unable to accommodate the appointment and saved me the hassle. I would have easily tried for another day. The staffed didn't seem bothered by the inconvenience which makes me not want to try this place again I took to yelp to hoping to find a place for an even more last minute appointment since at this point it's now 6pm. I have been getting my nails done here by Kayla for the last year. She is so talented and gentle. Emily runs the front desk and she is always so accommodating and kind, and funny. The time I spend in this nail salon in my "me time" and I absolutely love it here. Ruby and Mae are also absolutely wonderful nail techs. I took a hiatus from getting my nails done so it had been a while since I was at Miki. Fantastic as usual. Ruby did this set. I showed her the photo & she most definitely delivered! She asked me every step of the way if I liked them. Length, shape, color of polish etc. She was meticulous. Everyone there is nice. But in the long run, the business owner needs to know customers take it very personally and will never come back. Which if you charged me the correct price for a fill-$50-I would come back every 2 weeks for the next 20 years. $50 X 2 times a month= $100 $100/month for 1 year = $1,200 $1,200 X 20 years of months (240) = $24,000 in lost revenue (tip not included) I know this is not an isolated incident as I have read all the reviews. Let me start by saying that I give 5 Stars to May. She is one of the best in Vegas IMO. I've been going to her for years for my dip manicure. So it was disappointing when we made pedi appointments (we took who was available). Made the appointment a day in advance. My pedi was good. I'd probably give her 4 stars. Here's where things got bad... My boyfriend's pedi (with Ruby) was 1 star at best. The experience started with her on her phone, on speakerphone and it went downhill from there. She talked (very loudly) to the techs on either side of her, the entire time and was not paying any attention to doing a good job. There was a moment where she was turned to the tech next to her, and was so focused on talking, that she was literally massaging the air around his calves. Wasn't even touching him! She completely missed the step of massaging his feet, even though we called that out as his favorite part of the pedi. But no foot massage at all. RUBY was inattentive, rude at times, and absolutely horrible. It was an extra bummer because this was supposed to be part of this birthday gift. I let the receptionist know what happened and she said she'd let the owner know. I truly thought that I'd hear back since I'm a regular mani customer. But that never happened. Long story short, there are awesome people like May there. But stay far away from RUBY. The only good thing that came out of that experience is that she saved us a tip. Lesson learned. read more

The last 2 times I went to Miki Nail Bar they charged more than posted. Today I chose my polish, a regular glitter gel polish nothing fancy. The nail tech took it upon herself to chose a "comparable" polish and up charge for a gel pedicure with "Rockstar" - bottom line charging more without asking. The color I chose was much lighter than what she chose. My 10 year old daughter got a kids polish only manicure and they charged for an adult manicure. The male nail tech said she is isn't a child. Ummmm I know when I gave birth and I know how old she is. If they don't want to honor the kids price for a 10 year old change the age for their pricing. If they were going to charge for an adult manicure then actually do the full service. This tech also chose a different color which was significantly lighter than what my daughter wanted. Go somewhere else - Miki Nail Bar has gone downhill and substitutes polish to charge more. They are scamming customers. read more

I found this nail salon one day randomly driving around looking for a new place, specifically for pedicures. Well I definitely found the spot because they have over a dozen options to choose from. Everything from a basic pedi, to what they call a Royal pedicure where it includes paraffin wax and hot stones. And can we talk about the CBD based ones in multiple scents!? The customer service is on point every time. The salon is larger then normal and I recommend making an appointment. I've also gotten a dip manicure with a gel top and it lasted almost an entire month! It is very clean inside, which is super important to me in a nail salon. I've been in the back to get my eyebrows done and it was very sanitary. The lady in charge remembers me and makes sure to say hello every time I'm in, and the small stuff like that makes a huge difference. I've only had a few bad nail experiences in my lifetime of getting my nails done and this place was one of them. My boyfriend and I came in for mani pedis before a dinner date. Initially I was very excited about the experience because I saw several good reviews on yelp and pictures of nice nail designs. My boyfriend had no complaints because obviously he didn't have polish on his nails. I on the other hand had a different experience. The man who painted my toes did not remove all of the oil from my nail beds causing the polish to never dry and I had bubbles all over the polish. After two hours the polish smeared really bad. I asked for the dip technique for my finger nails and asked for an simple tan and glitter ombré polish job. The man who did my nails was completely confused about what I wanted though I explained 3 times, the receptionist explained to him twice what I wanted and gave him a visual example. The man dipped my nails 4 times in powder causing them to look like chicklets. I asked for him to thin the nail out and he made all of the nails uneven like a wave. He never cleaned the cuticles. When I asked why, the receptionist stated they charge $10 to clean the cuticles. Uhhh I thought that was standard? He cut my toe cuticles but not my fingers? Now that costs $10? Also, the polish on my toes chipped after a day. Before I left I complained to the receptionist about my finger nails not knowing my toe polish was never going to dry. She said they would fix it right then and there but after almost 3 hours of services that I thought would take 2 hours max, my boyfriend and I had to leave so we would not be late to dinner. When I got home I had to remove the smeared oily toe polish and wear closed toe shoes for dinner. I came back less than a week for the business to fix my nails. I waited 15 minutes for someone to fix my nails even though I was on time for my appointment. The receptionist seemed annoyed and it appeared she asked two different employees to help me as I waited those 15 minutes. The receptionist asked what I needed fixing and stated they only had time to fix my toes....Why would I make an appointment to fix my nails only to fix half of the problem? The new woman fixed my issues with my nails and did a very good job so I did not give this review 1 star. I'm typically a patient and understanding woman but this was not a good experience. This salon is awesome! Great service, friendly staff, cute atmosphere. I had a wedding to go to and suddenly became a bridesmaid at the last minute, so I needed some fancy nails, stat! My nail tech Thao did an amazing job. She was very experienced and gave my nails the ol' razzle dazzle. Almost three weeks later and these bad boys are still going strong (as seen in picture). I got the express manicure with gel and holographic glitter. There were a lot of color choices and finishes to choose from. My manicure still looks great, smooth finish and no air bubbles in the gel (which happened at the previous salon I went to). My nails are getting grown out so I will definitely be back to see Thao soon (and we can continue our conversation about reality TV lol)! I'll start by saying that this place isn't the cheapest... However, you get what you pay for. My wife and I came here for pedicures, and the team here did a great job. About a month later, tried to come back and they didn't have availability to take us, not a problem, places get busy. We then made the mistake of trying another place. They were cheaper but the service wasn't nearly as good and the nail polish rubbed off only a couple weeks later. At Miki Nail Bar, nail polish looked almost new a month later. Our first preference from now on is absolutely Miki Nail Bar. Just make sure to make an appointment in advance so you know you can get a seat. Went yesterday to get my nails done and they came out great. Asked to get my lip waxed and they lady proceeded to do so. When she waxed my lip she was just putting the way on my lip and ripping it off with out smoothing it out fully. So bc it was quickly ripped off and not fully smoothed out on my wax strip it removed skin from my lip and bow I have a huge burn. read more

I have a lot to say. First of all, the receptionist at this salon is absolutely awful, she is very rude, and has no problem speaking to customers with utter disrespect. Yesterday I came in for my 1:15 appointment, and with a nasty look on her face and a tone I wouldn't use towards anyone she said "you were supposed to be here an hour ago, so we aren't doing your pedicure anymore." .. I explained that I had the appointment in my calendar for 1:15 and even called to confirm it a couple days prior. To which she denied and replied with "just go pick a color for your nails, you always take a long time doing that and we don't have a lot of time today". It was clear they were double booked/overbooked and I was being blamed and gaslit into thinking this was somehow my fault and I was the problem. I sat down as soon as my nail tech was ready for me (I've been going to Kayla for around 2 years, I've always been a huge fan of her work, and have never complained) I do occasionally ask for designs, and am particular about certain things, but she always meets my expectations. The only times I have complained was when I was put with different nails techs in this salon while she was out of town or unavailable. All this to say... this was the first time Kayla had ever done my nails and I have left the salon unhappy. As you can see in the photos, what I asked her to do compared to my end result are not the same. Kayla is a talented nail artist who I don't usually get these types of problems with, but today she was rushed, I could tell and it was obvious in the way she was not being her usual meticulous self. I didn't notice the black smudges in my nails until she was nearly done, which I admit sucks and I wish I noticed sooner, because it was clearly not something easy to be fixed. The black smudges are on 8 of my nails! When I shyly mentioned it to her, she said to me "well I told you the gold would be slightly different because I use a different product".. she then told me to go wash my hands... to be clear, I was not even talking about the color of the chrome, but she was done with my service , and annoyed. when I came back from hand washing, her next client was already in her chair. I decided to let it go for the moment, knowing that the receptionist was going to be of no help to me. So I left the salon and decided to send a message to the salon number I occasionally text with to confirm my appointments and let them know what happened. The response I received basically let me know that Kayla no longer would be doing my nails in the future. There was no offering to make my nails look right.. they only offered me a partial refund ($65 out of $105) . I just want to let anyone who goes here know that.. they don't want or need your business!!! So don't give it to them. If customer service is important to you, this is not your salon. .. Not to mention the prices here, it's not a cheap place. Paying premium prices for nails I believe entitles people to have premium expectations of the work that is done and the customer service that is given. All I wanted in this case was for my nails to be made right, and to be treated like a valued customer.. and instead I was treated like I was the problem. Stay away from this place! read more

Well, today was my third time here and 2nd with the same tech. The receptionist is super cool and pleasant. The tech cut off a big chunk of flesh from my cuticle. I tried not to make a scene, but omg my finger hurts so bad from the cut! It still hurts and it's been an hour and a half since it happened. She put super glue on it to stop the bleeding. I was shocked that it happened. She apologized but also quickly tried to change the topic Edit: a day later and it's hurting less but my finger is still red/purple and puffy like the picture I posted. The superglue is peeling off, which defeats the purpose of the manicure I paid for, but whatever. I also noticed the sterilization bag the instruments were in was not actually run through an autoclave, nor was the bag sealed. Just hope instruments were clean. I work in healthcare so I know about dry heat and steam autoclaves and that the pouch should be sealed and change colors at the top when processed. The front desk added on a bunch of random fees, all of which don't make sense. That is as much as I pay for my dip nails with extensions at another nail salon.
