I really loved the pedicure this place gave me! My friend took me for my Birthday, and what a treat it was. They were very professional and the place was super clean. I liked that the chairs aren't right in the window of the store making you feel awkward as every one can watch you on display getting a pedicure. Their chairs are actually back a room out of sight. They used a really nice scrub on my legs for exfoliation. They also applied a clay like substance that had menthol and felt amazing when they added the hot towels. They also spent a lot of time removing dead skin and making my feet look healthy. They go above and beyond to really give the spa experience. The nails looked great and they actually know how to do nice, quality designs. Nothing worse than a good pedi, and they ruin it with a crappy design. Mine were beautiful!! Check out the pic. This was once a gem in the desert, however; no longer is it that. Jaime does not take the time anymore to do nails the way she used to. I am highly disappointed in the service and quality. I had my gel pedicure done and not even a week the polish on one toe began to peel off. I called to see if I could get fit in and she then blamed me saying my toe nails are too weak and there is nothing she could do. This place is honestly terrible, and after my first visit, and a subsequent visit hoping they could redeem themselves, I will never be back, nor will I recommend this place to anyone else. My first visit was an early morning appointment. I was in dire need of a fill and my regular nail establishment wasn't open at the time, so hey. Why not right? Good reviews? Could see me at that time? Might as well. That was my first mistake. My fill was done by a man apparently called Kevin. When he sat down across from me, he reeked of cigarettes and didn't speak to me. I tried to lighten the mood with pleasant conversation, but he wasn't going for it. Fine. It was early. Not everybody is a morning person. I have sharp almond nails. Apparently this was an issue to Kevin by the amount of heaving sighs he felt necessary to share during this service. Upon examining his work midway through, I calmly pointed out that the nails weren't even. He got defensive, raised his voice at me, pointing out that he wasn't done yet. Wow. The remainder of my experience was tense and awkward. He was incredibly rough with my hand and hurt me on several occasions for which he did not apologize. He just kept on shaping in the same manner as if nothing happened. After the countless times during the fill that I jerked my hand in pain, he simply muttered "you have hangnail". After he was done buffing and filing, he slumped back in his chair, let out one of his trademark heaving sighs, and exclaimed "too much!". I was in shock at how unbelievably rude this was so I said nothing in response. Honestly- If you don't want to provide a service, DON'T ACCEPT MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS TO PROVIDE A SERVICE. Like, am I supposed to feel bad for you??? After this horrendous visit, I intended never to come back, BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! SECOND VISIT: I ended up breaking two of the nails on my right hand, and had to come back because I didn't want to go to a different place, unsure if they had the color I wanted. When calling ahead, I SPECIFICALLY asked not to work with Kevin for obvious reasons. They paired me with a female nail tech who seemed pleasant enough, but quiet. I expected this to be a 30 minute appointment, tops. I ended up being there for almost an hour. The nails she "fixed" ended up being significantly shorter than the comparable nails on my opposite hand & there was polish all over my cuticles. When pointing this out, she offered to fix it but I was so over it at this point and had already been there longer than anticipated. The cost of "fixing" my nails was $15. I seriously, and truly could have done better myself. Very, very long story short: this place is a joke. The work is terrible and the employees make you feel like they're doing you a favor by providing a serving YOU'RE paying for. Oh, while I was typing this review, one of my nails Kevin did, completely broke off. A nice cherry on top. read more

I found this place on yelp looking for a nearby pedicure spot. It's so clean and relaxing with nice music and the couple that works there are the sweetest. Me and my boyfriend called ahead to make sure we could both get pedicures before work and when we arrived they already had the hot water and chairs all set up for us. I was quite frustrated and honestly pissed off with the horrible nail job I have gotten done just the day before. Every time I looked at my hands I would get an annoying reminder of how I was ripped off so right after my workout session I rushed over to Nail Story. Right as I walked in I felt confident that I made the right decision. I was greeted warmly by a kind woman at the reception desk. The entire shop is very cute. I very much appreciated the large selection of high quality nail polish and colors they had available. I enjoyed looking at all the beautifully displayed unique nail art. These are not your ordinary nail technician, these are true nail ARTISTS! My personal trainer, who has 15 years of nail technician experience, referred either Jenny or Jaime. Jenny was available so she started on my manicure right away. Jenny is highly skilled! She is all about detail and was also very gentle while cleaning my cuticles. She certainly handles your nails with great care. I'm looking at my nails right now and I still think she did an excellent job. I'm going to add a before and after picture of my hands so you judge for yourself. I also love how they always use a brush to clean any mistakes rather than using their own nails to press firmly near the cuticle. I wavered between 4 or 5 stars, but finally settled on 4. All in all, a fantastic gel manicure for $40. Just about perfect. This was a spur of the moment visit on Black Friday afternoon. I wasn't about to brave the crowds or insane traffic, so Yelp led me to this place. Actually, it led me to a different place across the street, but they were actually closed, so Nail Story already beat the competition just by being open. No one was in the salon. No other customers, that is. That did worry me a bit, but for $40, I was willing to take a chance. The place is open, airy, and clean. The lady at the front was nice. She had me sign in, and sat me at the table next to hers. Then another lady came to do my manicure. She was also polite, but not much of a talker. I'm ok with that. The small talk gets a little boring after a while. She did a superb job with the cuticles. She didn't rush, and was very meticulous. The same can be said about her polish application. I didn't have a single bubble. My nails were absolutely smooth. They had 2 different sets of colors. The set that she had me pick from didn't have a large selection of colors, and I had to settle for a shade of gold that I didn't prefer. It was fine in the end, but I'd like to see more colors. 2 weeks later, the polish is still intact, with not a scratch in sight. Immediately after I picked my pedicure color, the gentlemen said, "ohhh , very disappointed, that one cost more." Ok that's fine I said. We did my pedicure, I really wanted the hot stone one as it's what I usually get, but was never asked and before I knew it , they were onto the paint. I almost feel like he assumed I had no money. That might not be the case but that's what he made me feel like. My 7 year old got a manicure and pedicure and I got the normal pedicure with a gel amazing full set and it was $150. And I left a 20% tip. They were extremely patient with my child who got anxious . It took 3 hours from start to finish. And they even offered her fruit snacks. A lot of nail places are not hygenic at all. I'm always on the look out for salons that have their clippers and nail supplies in sterile packages. This place is a winner! This is a Korean owned salon and they have sterilizers and sterile packages. I've been there twice for a regular manicure/pedicure and feel they have done a good job each time. They take time with details and if there's anything off, they take the polish off and correct it. They also spray a coating on top before you leave, which many other places do not. read more

I don't need a massage, but I would like to get the services listed. - Charged me $20 (before tip) even though a basic manicure is listed as $15 both in store and on their website. If there was an additional $5 charge for a matte top coat, I was not made aware of it. I don't mind paying $20 for a basic manicure, what I do mind is the price changing without being told about it.
