I ended up leaving this place with an unexpected treasure trove full of aftermarket Jeep parts for next to nothing. Me and the guy who sold them to me will know exactly what happened that day, out of courtesy, I will refrain from any further comments about it. called up there looking for a driveshaft that showed in stock on their website. the lady insisted on getting what type of rear axle I had, even though for this vehicle that was irrelevant information. I reminded her it was the FRONT shaft I was looking for, and she snarkily replies "I've been working here for over 50 years, I know what I'm doing". how embarrassing for her, working at a place for 50 years and still doesn't know parts. She insisted that they did t have the part, and I wasn't going to say anything else. at that point I would much rather give my money to someone else, which I did. read more

I drive this old POS GMC that has as of late needed a jump start every day to get going, right... I hit up Advanced Auto (S14th) had them check the alternator. It was kicking out beats like a base drum... Pulled it and picked up a replacement for $45 that only generated 9.5 volts.... Not enough to start or maintain a battery. Called up and asked for what options I had , they let me know that they would replace it or refund my money WELL; The one I picked up & installed seems to be working well. Half the price of a NEW or Auto Parts Store one I'm pleased. Worth A Try If Needing Parts on an old beater like mine, or looking to save a few bucks. Unless you like being treated as if you are a second class citizen don't go to Mike's if you're looking for anything cheaper than a radiator. The owner just had to complain about me coming in looking for "little" parts like an EGR tube and air intake assembly. I actually had a whole list of parts to find but with an attitude like that I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
