I was honestly skeptical of so many five star reviews (sometimes they look too good to be true) but…read moreI went ahead and rolled the dice with a call to Budget Blinds. It turns out I had no reason to be suspicious, they are great! I live in a cookie cutter apartment building and just needed simple, sturdy roller shades for my two big apartment windows. Frank came by with his sample books and helped me pick out shades for each window. I went with a slightly transparent shade for my living room (you can see outside but it filters bright sunlight out) and a blackout shade for my bedroom (nice and dark, like a cave!). Ordering was simple and he told me it would be 4 weeks (cool). Pricing was very reasonable as well. Frank called me 2 weeks later and said my order was ready - EARLY. With supply chain issues all over the place I definitely did not expect that. He sent over the insurance stuff for my building right away and we scheduled an install date. On the day of the install, Frank and his assistant didn't show up on time - THEY WERE EARLY. (This is rare for me in NYC!) The install was quick, they cleaned up, and had everything ready to go within 2 hours. The roller shades have been great for me - they've held up nicely and the color matches my apartment well. I'm so pleased with the whole experience and think you will too.

We had an amazing experience with Darby and the team at 1 Day Window Treatments. Our Pilates…read morestudio needed both shades and drapes, and the first quote we received was from The Shade Store, which was insane, so we immediately brought out several more companies for a consult. Darby was super knowledgable, he understood exactly what we needed, and the prices were very reasonable compared to most of the competition. Because our Studio has two full walls of windows, we need to keep the sun out but also wanted something lighter for an aesthetic look and for some privacy. Darby suggested we do a UV Sun shade closest to the window, and then another track of drapes which we can pull when it's less sunny or at night when we don't need the full sun blocking. So we ordered both blinds and drapes, and both were done within the timeframe Darby initially quoted us (which was faster than the industry standard from what I experienced meeting other companies). The delivery and installation process was also great, as they were quite flexible working with our schedule around all the other work being done in our studio. Stretch the installer was wonderful. The final result is absolutely beautiful, and one of our instructors just today said "I feel like I'm in a spa." I met with 5 different local companies and I can 100% recommend this one and if we build another studio or need something done for our house there is no question we'll be back :)

I reached out to about a dozen other curtain installation services--most either said the job was too small, required that I purchase curtains from them, or simply never responded. Shades West was completely different. They replied immediately and got the job done perfectly. I had forgotten to order clips, and they were kind enough to provide their own without hesitation. Both Joe and Kevin were not only professional, but also friendly and genuinely helpful. No issues, no stress, just excellent service from start to finish. I can confidently say they are THE BEST THERE IS! Thank you, Shades West!

I am so late in posting this review but better late than never…read more I replaced my old eyesore blinds with vertical cellular shades, based on Peter's recommendations, and I am so happy with the results. I opted for white in both the living and bedroom areas. I love how the bedroom has the blackout feature and how both retract so close to the edges. Also thought it was a great value too. He gave me some really great options for sliding doors as I really didn't want vertical slat blinds again. I know Peter and Budget Blinds have replaced a lot of my neighbors' window treatments too so he came with a lot of great reviews and recommendations by word of mouth. I was also told that Budget Blinds will replace my blinds as a one time courtesy should there be any materials damages, I.e., flood damage, fire, etc. I would need to cover the cost of labor but the actual blinds would be replaced gratis. I would pay the additional labor, which is more than reasonable. Highly recommend.

At our first measurement appointment, they completely missed an entire room that was on the list. It then took almost two weeks to get someone back to measure it.
