It has been a pleasure working with Mike's Upholstery on the Biltmore Amenities Renovation project. Isabelle Tarikyan kept us informed of progress every step of the way. Mike's provide upholstery on custom designed banquettes, niche seating and upholstered wall panels. Some of the banquettes were round shaped and one was "?" shaped. They had not problems having the upholstery conform to these odd shapes. They were prompt to deliver and was ready earlier than the estimated fabrication time. After interviewing many merchants in NYC and NJ, Mike's is the only place we will use for upholstery and window treatments. Owner Isabelle is incredibly thoughtful about design, and her shop produces fantastic work. This is a merchant who cares about what they deliver! We had Mike's reupholster a large Italian down sofa with piping and a built-in table, plus ottoman. Not an easy job, and they nailed it. Isabelle has been an incredible referral and is a wonderful, caring person. I'm so grateful for the introduction because she's a great designer. When I call her she's extremely responsive and very attentive to whatever I need. She knows her fabrics and makes excellent suggestions. Her prices are very fair. I moved during covid and had to almost completely refurnish my apartment. I ordered custom furniture from a very reputable company through her, and she assisted me all along the way. Isabelle kept on top of things regarding the long wait time for deliveries. I was so appreciative of that. I ordered an expensive chair and when it arrived, it was too firm. She took the chair back to her shop, Mike managed to change the foam from underneath the seat and brought back an incredible comfortable chair. I can't say enough about his expertise in upholstery. I also had several pieces that were reupholstered which were done beautifully. I still have a few pieces of furniture at the shop but haven't decided on the fabric yet, however, when I do, I will only work with Isabelle. About three days later I was told after I called that they're still waiting for their guy to get back to them. This made no sense. Two weeks later and they never had the courtesy to call.
