I don't understand the reviews with 2 stars and below but to each their own. I came upon this gym…read moreafter researching gym around the Hudson area and checked it out. The owner Jason is a military vet and was super kind. He even gave me a military discount since I'm an Army Vet which was nice. The gym has everything you need from a small boxing area, trx/crossfit area and of course your traditional cardio machines and weight lifting equipment. It's really a great atmosphere to get an amazing working out in. I enjoy coming here because it doesn't get packed in the AM like other gyms and the best part is if you have any questions the staff is alway there to help you and point you in the right direct. If the owner Jason is there he will even come spot you which I've seen him do a numerous of times to different individuals working out. There's also lots of parking, so if your'e around the Hudson area of NH be sure to give AMC a visit if you're looking for a gym.

I've been going to AFC for nine months now and love it. My favorite thing about this gym is the…read moreatmosphere. Besides being clean and well-maintained, it really feels like a community gym. It's unpretentious. As someone who is curvy and wanted to go to the gym to improve my physique, I was initially very nervous about people staring at me or judging me for using the weights. I've gone to other, bigger gyms like PF and I always felt like everyone was looking down on me, and worse, I was fighting for equipment. Not at AFC. Everyone here is going to the gym to work on themselves, whatever that means for them. While of course you have many physically fit people here, there are also people of all ages, sizes, races, men, women, etc, each sharing a common purpose. I've never had a problem snagging equipment I needed or felt like I was in anyone's way. In fact, trainers and members alike have told me they've seen great improvement in me, which makes me feel so great. That's the benefit of a smaller gym - the people there remember you and root for you. I also love the boxing class. It's really popular here! I had never done boxing before and fell in love. It makes me feel powerful. Strong. And, best of all, disguises the workouts a bit! It's so much easier to work out when you're concentrating on pads and bags, and I end up burning 400-500 calories a session. Jason, and all the trainers, pay attention to your moves and help you improve your form. The classes are smaller too, usually around 10 people, so you can ask any questions you want and the trainers can pay attention to your form. If you're a nervous first-time gym goer like I was, or if you just moved here and are looking for a clean, community gym, this is the place.

I think the other reviewer is crazy. I took class at another martial arts school for years, and…read morethe schedule was much the same. Also, the schedule is clear from the beginning, so I don't know how you can complain about that. For me the schedule works out pretty good, and being able to choose which nights you go each week gives me just enough flexibility. I think the staff is good, and my kids look forward to going to class each time. They have the right balance of patience and discipline. I think my kids are progressing at a pretty good rate. As for the cost... again.. it's all set out from the beginning, so I don't know how you can complain about that afterwards....

My child attended there for few years, but we are unhappy with their service. Parent needs to…read morethink twice before joining. The reasons are following: (1) Class schedule is inconvenience for working parent (2) The tuition fee is way higher than others. (3) Need parent to pay their time off for holidays - Yes - Parent mandatory pay it - at least 3 weeks / a year including 4th of July (1 week), thanksgivings (3 days?), X'Mas to New Year (about 2 weeks), Memorial Days (2-3 days) & more..... (4) Close Sat class for testing at all times. (5) Uniform is expensive. Kid easily outgrow - new pant charges $30+ up (exaggerating mark up price) We went there for few years but I don't see the kids progress. My feeling is going to play group instead of learning martial art. I am so regret that I join there for few years and waste our money. On the other hand, I am glad that I find a better one and left here. My kids love martial art, we find the other place and the new one is excellent. First, the monthly fee is including the uniform (free charge), if the kids outgrow, the pant is only $10/each at new place - very reasonable - the mark up cost is not exaggerating. Second, The new one will not close for a weeks to celebrate any holiday. They only close on July 4 (1 day), Thanksgiving day (1 day), X'Mas Day (1) & New year only. Otherwise, they always open. The master deserves that we pay the holiday or you have choice to making up the class other time - importantly we will not feel like forcing to pay for their 3-4 weeks time offs each year. Ironically, my company pays me 2 weeks vacation only, but they have 3-4 weeks ??? Why parent need to pay it ??? feel like cheating the parent ??? A week is making sense, 3-4 weeks are non-sense. Third - The new one will not close the door for testing, instead the class keeps running in AM, the testing will start in the afternoon. Forth - The new master is outstanding and caring for each kid. Lastly, this is the most important - the new place tuition is lower and the quality is speechless. We save $50/ per month but still attending 2-3 times classes each week. Schedule (Timing) is excellent. I am glad that looking for another place. They have plenty rooms to improve because there are many excellent martial arts in NH. They will lose many customers if they are not improving the issues.
