That was really impressive considering I have never used them before. A+ for that. Where things were less than ideal.. I told them my boiler was older and they sent a younger guy who did not seem to know as much as I would have liked about my system. He started off suggesting I need a new system (likely, but not a lot of detail other than "its old"), he then suggested I might consider rebuilding the expansion tank as its likely the diaphragm was bad (older designs like mine do not have diaphragms). After 2 visits that day from my younger tech (he forgot his tools), he was able to diagnose and replace the Aquastat to get theheat back on, but I still had the "bang" that occurs when the heat kicks on (happening for a year, well before the no heat situation...). So I called and the woman basically said "We will have that tech speak to one of our more experienced techs and get back to you, but if you do not hear from us in a week give us another call"... No returned call..... Seems I am likely in the market for a system, but they don't seem interested in investing any "non billable time"... So while I greatly appreciate their quick service, I do not have enough information to make a decision and so I am speaking to other heating contractors about repair/replacement options. Its shame as they are in my town and I would have preferred to give them the work if possible. I drive by their shop almost every day...
