I reviewed this place highly before but my opinion has changed due to one certain employee never willing to deal everything just came out if you want to sell you deal any time but whatever. came in for a loan an was kind vindictive were not taking that right now never said no before on this item and I am a regular customer but this dude kinda of a D**k anyways always butting in on things he's not involved in even if he is a manager and/or supervisor let your employee hand there customer isn't that why you hired them. I would not buy from Mike's Pawn. I purchased a gold necklace that was said to be 14k gold. Later have in inspected it turned out to it was not actually 14k gold. If you like giving 600 plus dollars away to a criminal. This is your place other wise steer clear. I did go in and ask them to remedy the issue. They would rather keep the money they fraudulently acquired. Why should I expect to be treated fairly, right? I mean any moral person would go the other direction, locate the seller but they decided sell it as if where authentic. Also, although I was asked for a i.d. and entered into the computer the ticket somehow was filed "under cash." He was so matter of fact about it like I was the person at fault. The worker seemed proud even stated by law he needed no record of the transaction. Texas Admin Code title 7 requires that all transactions be keep. Whenever I need a quick cash loan on my gold jewelry I always go to Mike's Pawn. Their loans on $1000 is only 10% interest. Other shops charge 15% on the same amount of loans. Borrowing money and paying back less is always a plus but they also have great customer service. I would recommend them if you need a loan! read more

I went by here and asked if they had any scanners for sale. I had gone to a computer repair shop next door and they were out of scanners. When I inquired, at first they said they didn't but then someone who seemed nice and trustworthy and knowledgeable said they did have one in the back that was unused and still in a box. They didn't have it out on the floor for some reason. I told them repeatedly I need a multi page scanner and they assured me it did that and pointed out the features on the box and took it out for me to look at stated that it's one of the most popular "multi page" scanners on the market blah blah.. They said it also was a printer - shows me the ink and said it printer up to 6000 pages. I told them I had a mobile printer scanner but needed more scanning capacity... oh yea they said it does multiple pages. After repeatedly saying it was definitely a multi page scanner, I agreed buy it for 250.00. I trusted them. They even put it in my vehicle- so nice of them. When I got it set up I called them and said that it only appears to scan one page at a time. They said that I just needed to install the software. I stated that I had tried that but it doesn't seem to scan more than one page at a time. The guy said they HE would research it and get back to me still insisting it was a multi page scanner. He the man who sold it to me said to me on the phone that he was "super busy but he would definitely research it and get back to me." Well he didn't get back to me so boxed it up and I brought it back to them and the staff member who persuaded me to buy it - repeatedly assuring me it did multipage scanning was "off " and so they called him on the phone and then he realizing he had screwed up and misrepresented to me the product, he turned on me, and said I never told you it was a "multipage scanner" then a guy who seems to be the owner started shouting at me, then he tried to gaslight me, said I was stupid to believe it could be a multipage scanner, asked me why I hadn't set it up in their store and checked it out before I bought it. He said too bad, "no refunds or exchanges," and then he kept the 1 page at a time printer and scanner and said "lock her out." He was verbally abusive and I felt physically threatened. Do not trust anyone at this establishment to act honorably. Do not trust them at all. They are thugs. They are engaged in deceptive business practices. It Must be nice to get paid 250.00, take back the product, and be able to throw someone out the door, lock it and bank the money under the false auspices that there are "no refunds or exchanges" Generally, that is called THEFT! These individuals are disgusting and in my opinion this place is not even safe. I attempted to reason in a professional manner and obviously they have strong arm tactics to escalate the situation to where you actually feel afraid and they lock the doors and BANK your money and put the product back for sale. When I asked them if the events were recorded (since they were gaslighting me about what I had been told the previous day) and since I will need it to show their repeated false misrepresentations in a court- they said yes we have VIDEO BUT no audio. I went to cash america pawn and ez pawn my God were those people rude and look down on you in your time of need. They didn't even want to listen to me, they weight it and told me a price. So I left and out of nowhere I see Mikes pawn van and U turned to go. The staff ultra friendly everyone greeted me cooper the one helping me talked to management. He came talked to me listed and I told him I needed a little over one thousand dollars he was like okay and just maxed out my loan which in the end help me out. Came to this place on Christmas Eve because I heard they were great with pawning firearms. I went in and met with a Matt who was cool. I asked for $300 for one of my firearms and he told me he could do $225 because I have 1 clip, but if I come back with the 2nd clip he could do $250 after Christmas. Another store clerk, that I spoke with prior to dealing with Matt, said he could offer me something like $150 for my 2nd fire arm. Of course they were closed on Xmas Day, so I returned on the 26th with everything and asked for Matt. A hispanic clerk, who is obviously suffering from Napoleon Complex, offered me $300 for both of the firearms with an attitude. Matt finally came out and I told them that Matt was going to give me $250 for 1 and the other clerk offered somewhere around $150 just 2 DAYS AGO! The little a** hole said "well you should've did it that day.", I explained to him again what Matt and I discussed, which is the reason why I was back less than 48 hours. Matt was just looking at me helpless like he couldn't do anything about it, guess the little guy was his manager. I could tell Matt was thinking that this whole situation was pretty messed up. I'm also guessing that the little white-washed hispanic felt I was just another n**** from the streets who desperately needed the cash by the way he was talking me. Not once did I disrespect this man or this establishment. F*** this place.
