It's had…read moremany faces and different vibes through the years from mediocre and slightly scary to the charming market it's become. Kudos to staff and management for making the Plaza a great place to shop. It's clean, well stocked and organized, friendly, convenient and feels safe in these challenging times. No one loves wearing masks, I get it, but THANK YOU to the staff at the Plaza for ensuring everyone coming into the store is wearing one. On two separate occasions, two different cashiers asked customers to please put on a mask. In both cases the customer was politely offered a mask for purchase. One customer went back to his car for a mask, the other chose to purchase one. No one got upset or angry or confrontational which was a relief to witness. I stopped going to any store other than the Plaza during my recent visit because mask compliance was so lax and unenforced. I also want to give a shout out to Marshall for his holiday spirit this Christmas. After doing some shopping around town Christmas Eve, I made a quick stop at the Plaza for a few last minute items. It was heartwarming to stand in line and hear Marshall wishing all his customers, Merry Christmas. Literally nowhere I'd been all day, did anyone offer a Merry Christmas or even Happy Holidays, everyone actually seemed a little taken aback when I wished them Merry Christmas. The Plaza has been around a lot of years, seen many eras come and go and thankfully, through them all, still retains its small town, neighborly charm and values.

I have been a loyal customer for years and have consistently loved the food, atmosphere, and…read moreservice. My one longstanding complaint has been the pricing. My go-to order has always been the half-sandwich-and-soup combo. While I have always considered it overpriced, the quality and taste of the food kept me coming back despite the cost. Today, I stopped in for lunch and ordered my usual half turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich with my favorite French onion soup. Historically, the soup has been served in a small French onion soup bowl with what I would consider a reasonable portion, albeit one that was already overpriced. Today, however, I was shocked to receive a portion of soup that was barely comparable to a teacup in size. The price remained exactly the same, despite what appears to be a significant reduction in portion size. At what point does this stop being a matter of rising costs and start becoming a matter of taking advantage of loyal customers? The combo was already expensive for what it offered, but to seemingly reduce the portion so drastically without adjusting the price is incredibly disappointing. Customers should not have to wonder whether they are receiving less for the same price every time they visit. I have happily paid the premium for years because I genuinely enjoyed the food and believed it was worth returning for. However, when the value continues to decline while the price stays the same, it becomes increasingly difficult to justify spending my money here. I am extremely disappointed. I would appreciate an explanation for this apparent change in portion size, because if this is the new standard, you may be losing a longtime customer.
