I have no complaints about the fence. They finished everything in one day. With that said, I am deducting a star because the crew tripped my breaker box. They plugged in a battery (Milwaukee? It was red. See photo) to the outlet I had a licensed contractor install to a recent closet extension in my backyard. I'm not sure how they even found that outlet as it's not close to the shared fence and is hidden by the A/C unit. I'm also not sure why they were that deep in my backyard when they were just supposed to be working on installing the new fence. If they had simply asked for permission to plug in the battery, this wouldn't have been an issue. I saw the battery charging as I was checking on the progress of the fence throughout the morning and thought nothing of it. It wasn't until that evening where I noticed that all the outlets in the back room didn't work that I started questioning the reason for the outage. After racking my brain and attempting to reset the breaker box, it dawned on me that it was because one of the workers was charging their battery. I don't know the voltage of the battery that they were charging, but it was too much for that outlet. They should've just used an outlet from my neighbor.

We got 4 different quotes, including a quote from a company which did not even come out to do measurements but relied on satellite imagery for their dimensions (which were off by over 10'). The J's Fencing came out quickly and provided a competitive estimate for over 70' of fencing and ultimately we decided to go with them. The work they did was excellent. I thought they would install new posts and then use some prefabricated panels, but they built the 7' fence board by board. They made the fence work with my neighbor's existing gate. They also did a custom section, building the fence around a tree my neighbor wanted to keep, enabling the tree to grow without pushing on or damaging the fence in the future. They honored their quote while also doing some of the minor customization, and completed the work in a day. They hauled away all the old wood and also did a good job tidying up the area once the work was done. I have some additional work that needs to be done on another section of the fence and will be using them again in the future.

Next day came and no estimate. I called and no answer. Left text messages with no response. A week later I tried again with no answer, but owner's wife did call me back from a different number and told me they have been busy and also that they went on a retreat. OK?
