I had a quote in hand from a contractor we knew, thought it might be high so I started looking at other options. Tried to get multiple quotes from local Gilroy painters, only Tim responded and he also did excellent follow-up. Work was done very professionally; they spent a great deal of time pressure washing the trim and also cleaned the stucco exterior walls as well! Prep work done correctly is clearly very time consuming and Tim's crew was very careful to mask off and protect the areas not being painted. I think they must have used a ton of caulking as there were weathering and expansion cracks and gaps to be filled in the wood everywhere. Work was completed on 11/5/2021, looks incredible ! We did our research and interviewed…read moreseveral companies before choosing R&R for the following reasons: 1) they offered a full solution (deck + pergola), 2) they handled the city permits which gave us peace of mind, and 3) they arranged tours of properties of their completed projects (with the owners' permission) so we could see materials and features and inspect the workmanship up close. Special shout-out to their project manager Tamir who is an excellent communicator and a pleasure to work with! The timeline ran longer than we expected, but, in fairness, some delays (like permitting) are outside anyone's control, so set your expectations accordingly. The design phase was smooth, the company provided clear renderings which we approved. Construction wasn't without a hiccup or two, but all issues were eventually resolved. The finished result is fantastic! (I hope the photos speak for themselves.) The deck feels like a natural extension of the house, same level as indoors and matching the flooring color, so the indoor-outdoor flow is seamless. Build quality feels rock solid. The pergola's motorized louvers are operated by a remote, and the pergola is effectively watertight when the louvers are closed. Our neighbors saw the deck, loved it, and signed up with R&R for their backyard project. I think that speaks volumes. We're very happy clients and we are planning to hire R&R again next season for a front-yard project.

One place quoted me almost 11 grand and wanted to replace half the roof! Another place "had minimums" and wouldn't take any jobs less than $3500.00! Derek and Danny were able to quickly diagnose the problem and were able to fix the leak for $1600.00. While they were up there they noticed I had a LOT of broken Spanish Tiles and a lot of holes in the Mortar along the Roof line. Derek used 3 buckets of Mortar and sealed every major hole In the Mortar and replaced 19 broken Spanish tiles. Spanish tile roofs are great and can last up to 100 years but only as long as there are no breaches! Every hole in the Mortar and every one of those 19 cracked tiles was a potential leak in the future. They gave me a very fair price for all the work and their bid to completely overhaul the Roof came in on par with what other companies were charging to fix the leak alone. They also do Gutters! The right way! With Solder! I really only asked to have two seams soldered but Danny went around and re-soldered every single seam that was leaking and even patched over a hole in the bottom of one of them. So that's another headache job I can cross off the list. They have many other skills as well including all types of Carpentry and I would trust them to do anything for me that needed doing. Derek and Danny strike me as very honest hard working guys who are trying to build their business by providing quality work for a fair price and by going above and beyond what is expected. As I said. Very happy to have found these guys! I'm getting older now and I needed some Handy guys who will do good work and treat me fairly. know I will have plenty of work for them in the future.
