We started with drinks. Pooh's dad (Andre) and I had Bloody Caesars, Pooh had a beer and Marie a house cocktail. The cocktail was too floral. Our Caesars were great. For appetizers Marie and Pooh had mussels, Andre, a Caesar salad and I had the French Onion soup. Marie, Pooh and Andre had the fillet mignon and I had the bavette (flank steak). The cook on the steaks varied. Pooh and I ordered medium-rare; Marie ordered medium and Andre ordered medium-well. Pooh's steak was medium and my steak was medium-rare at the thinner end and very rare (almost blue) at the thicker end. Pooh, Marie and Andre had a baked potato without any butter and I had french fries. We shared two bottles of Italian red wine which was an excellent choice for the steaks. For dessert we had the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was dry - we needed the ice cream to help get it down. Pooh, Andre and I had a Brazilian coffee to wash everything down. Marie was driving.
